Oncocytic hyperplasia is uncommon in the practice of otolaryngology. Oncocytic hyperplasia usually arises in the major salivary gland, especially parotid gland. We have recently experienced a case of oncocytic hyperplasia arising in the larynx of 58 year old female patient. The mass was removed under the general anesthesia using laryngeal micro-surgery and confirmed as oncocytic hyperplasia of larynx on histopathological examination.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of using korean medical treatment on ulcer occurred in Anus and Vulva. Methods : We treated the patient with Taglisodog-eum(托裏消毒飮), acupuncture, and korean medical treatment using herb such as ointment and fumigation therapy. VAS score, Photographs were used to evaluate the effects of treatment. Results : After the total treatments, VAS score decreased from 7 to 1. In this case, we treated ulcer and checked regeneration of new tissue. Conclusions : The result suggests that Korean medical treatment including Taglisodog-eum(托裏消毒飮) can be effective in treatingulcer.

This report evaluates the effect of Takrisodokyeum in patients with otitis media, and found the symtoms were inproved significantly. Two case of otitis media have severe purulent otorrhea, hearing loss. These patients have been treated with westernmedicine, but they could not expect to improve condition. We experienced two cases of otitis media that have a result of effect with Takrisodokyeum. Oriental treatments of otitis media have been showed relative good results and more constructive study and clinical report are necessary.

For the purpose of treating for urticaria, they orderly use LI, B, GV in acute stage, and use the kyunghyul of Sp, CV, P, Liv, L in chronic stage. we can presume that in the past, they must select these kyunglak and kyunghyul by the phase and the period of the urticaria. To approach to treating urticaria, it is necessary the selecting of kyunghyul by the phase and period of the urticaria.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to analyse research trend on alopecia including androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, etc.Methods : We searched Pubmed, CNKI and OASIS on the title "alopecia" in recent 5 years.Results : We found 23 studies on Pubmed, 20 on CNKI, and 3 on OASIS about treatments of alopecia. The subjects of them were about 5α-reductase inhibitor, Minoxidil, steroids, immunosuppression, laser therapy, PRP, microneedling, stem cell, herbal medicine, integrative medicine, external treatments and syndrome differentiation.Conclusions : In recent studies in western medicine were about combination therapy or safety and presented validities and superiorities about new treatments. Integrative medicine, external treatment and researches about patients' characteristics were reported in TCM. Korean medicine has advantages of considering whole body and phychological problems.

Objects : The aim of this study is to introduce latest research trend of cholinergic urticaria and consider results in view of Korean medicine.Methods : We investigate research papers, Chinese and Korean medicinal papers about Cholinergic Urticaria through Pubmed, CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and OASIS(Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System).Results : The pathogenesis of cholinergic urticaria is supposed to correlate with sweating, considering that many cholinergic urticaria patients are complicated with anhidrosis or hypohidrosis and have sweat hypersensitivity. And on the basis of those outcomes, diverse therapies on cholinergic urticaria are conducted recently.Conclusion : Korean medicinal approaches and treatment on cholinergic urticaria can be significant, accounting that sweating plays a important role in pathogenesis of cholinergic urticaria.

Objective : The purpose of this report is to know the effect of Gamisunbangwhalmyung-Eum(加味仙方活命飮) on pain and burning sensation that last for months after Debridement caused by Cellulitis. Methods : We experienced one case of patient underwent Debridement caused by Cellulitis treated with Gamisunbangwhalmyung-Eum. To evaluate the effectiveness of this treatment, we used the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Results : After the treatment, the grade of VAS was decreased and clinical symptoms were improved. Conclusion : Gamisunbangwhalmyung-Eum can be used on the treatment of patient underwent Debridement caused by Cellulitis.

Objectives : The purpose of this report is to know the effect of Korean medical treatments on pemphigus vulgaris with generalized pruritus. Methods : We treated a 44-years-old woman patient with pemphigus vulgaris on the whole body with Korean medicine. After Korean medical treatment for 17 weeks, we measured the extinction of blisters and decrease of pruritus. We recorded pictures of changes on symptoms. Results & Conclusions : The symptoms of pemphigus vulgaris were significantly improved. The blisters and itching were decreased and skin damages were almost recovered. Thus Korean medical treatments are effective on pemphigus vulgaris.

Objective : This study reports the effect of oriental medicine with depletion and cupping therapy on post-herpetic neuralgia(PHN) 1 case. Methods : We experienced one case of PHN treated by oriental medical treatment with depletion and cupping therapy. To evaluate the effectiveness of this treatment, we used the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Result : After the treatment the grade of VAS was decreased and clinical symptoms were improved. Conclusion : Oriental medicine with depletion and cupping therapy can be available for relieving symptoms related with PHN.

Meniere's disease is not a life-threatening but lift-altering inner ear disease characterized by episodic vertigo, fluctuating hearing loss, tinnitus and ear fullness. The etiology and pathophysiology symptoms is still disputed. Thereby the treatment of Meniere's disease is empirical. As yet no treatment has prospectively modified the clinical course of condition and thereby prevented the progressive hearing loss. We experienced two cases of Meniere's disease treated with oriental medical treatment, acupuncture and herbal medication. 15 year-old and 23 year old male patients had diagnosed Meniere's disease by western medical doctor. After treatment their vertigo is decreased and the level of hearing loss was rise up. Therefore, oriental medical treatments could be safe and effective methods.
