The study is to trace the origin of the Hongmunkwan ana discuss its development and roles assigned in each succeeding stages of the history. The Hongmunkwan lived a long life through Koryo and Yi dynasties. It was a multi-functioned institution designed as a royal library, an educational institution, and a political reference center. Prior to the Hongmunkwan, there were some established institution with similar functions to its ones during the Three-Kingdom Era. One of such kind was the Sungmunkwan(崇文館), which was eventually renamed the Hongmunkwan by King Songjong(成宗) of Koryo in 995, and a distinguished scholar-minister was appointed at the position of directorship for management of the now status-raised institution where state documents and books were housed. The Hongmunkwan experienced some reforms during its long life. In 1420, King Sejong(世宗) of Yi Dynasty founded the Jipyonjon(集賢殿) within the royal palace in place of the Hongmunkwan. The Jipyonjon was an innovated Hongmunkwan where many scriptures were stored and distinguished scholars and officials studied on them, sometimes delivering lectures to the king. King Sejo(世祖) abolished the Jipyonjon in his second year(1456) and reestablished the Hongmunkwan designed as a royal library in place of the former in his ninth year. King Songjong(成宗) in his 10th year (1479) of the reign, reformed the Yemunkwan(藝文館), which existed from the beginning of the Yi dynasty, by extending its functions and afterwards absorbed it into the Hongmunkwan together with the functions of the former Jibhyonjon which were included in the Yemunkwan. He founded another Yemunkwan which had the roles of drafings and descriptions of royal decrees. In the 10th year (1504) of Yonsankun(燕山君), the Hongmunkwan was abolished and instead of it the Jindokchong(進讀廳) was founded with less authority and functions. But shortly after that, King Jungjong(中宗) refounded the Hongmunkwan with the same scale, same authority and same functions as the former, one. As the Hongmunkwan also had a function of the royal library it collected and kept numerous books and writings in it. Some books and writings of the Hongmunkwan were composed of those which had been transmitted from the Koryo Dynasty and the others were composed of those which had been collected in the country or purchased by the trade with China in the Yi dynasty. Also newly-compiled important books in the country were reprinted and one of them were send to the Hongmunkwan. In the 8th year (1784) of King Jongjo(正祖), the history of the Hongmunkwan, entitled the Hongmunkwanji(弘文館志), was written and editioned by the royal decree and it was reeditioned the 7th year (1870) of King Kojong(高宗). The Hongmunkwan was absorbed into the Kyujanggak(奎章閣) in 1907.
Objectives : This study was designed to establish a characteristic discrimination of internal and external morphological standard of original plants and herbal states in Polygoni Multiflori and Cynanchi Wilfordii Radix. Methods : In this studies, the external-internal morphological standards were determined by using stereoscope and butanol series. Results: 1. The external characteristics of original plants: Polygonum Multiflorum has alternate leaves, and its flower with white color blooms at the shoot apex or leaf axil. In the other hand, Cynanchum wilfordii has opposite leaves, and its flower with yellowish green color blooms at the leaf axil. 2. The physical characteristics of herbal slates: Polygoni Multiflori Radix is red-brown in outer surface pink-brown in section. In the other hand, Cynanchi Wilfordii Radix is earthly-brown in outer surface greyish white in section. 3. The physical characteristics according to the place of production: Demonstrable difference according to the place of production is not seen. Polygoni Multiflori Radix is brown or dark brown in outer surface, soft $Yellow{\sim}dark$ brown in section. In the other hand, Cynanchi Wilfordii Radix is white in outer surface, $white{\sim}weak$ red in section, and has power type. 4. The internal characteristics: Polygonum multiflorum has hetero-vascular bundle and lignification of cork layer is progressive. In the other hand, Cynanchum wilfordii has not hetero-vascular bundle, and lignification of cork layer is weak. Conclusion: In the future, many fundamental study such as how to discriminate between Polygoni Multiflori Radix and Cynanchi Wilfordii Radix in origin and efficacy will be necessary. Also the standard of discrimination must be specific and distinct in that several kinds of fo-ti has been traded. It is considered the results of this study will be furnish κ I the basis Lo succeeding studies and it is needed to extensive comparative study for the same genus-degree of relatedness.
With recent emphasis on evidence based medicine, clinical practice guidelines are seen as a potential mechanism by which unify various managerial and professional approaches to improving the quality of care. The development process of guidelines has been the subject of much research. and it is need translating the medical evidence of research into a clinical practice guidelines. the gathered evidence needs to be interpreted into a clinical, public health, policy, or payment context. The term 'clinical practice guidelines' can evoke a diverse range of responses from healthcare personnel. Clinical practice guidelines are increasingly used in patient management but some clinicians are not familiar with their origin or appropriate applications. Understanding the limitations as well as benefits of CPG could enable clinicians to have clearer view of the place of guidelines in every practice. In the context of increasing complaints and litigation in healthcare, the legal implications of clinical practice guidelines are of increasing importance. Clinical practice guidelines could, in theory, influence the manner in which the courts establish negligence by suggesting the doctor breached the duty of care by failing to provide the required standard of medical care. In several studies, the CPGs were relevent to and played a pivotal role in the proof of negligence. Much depends on the quality of guidelines and the tools developed and the authoritativeness of a guideline. Recently, there are several opinions the court also should review the validity and reliability of expert testimony including medical evidence. and widespread use of guidelines in malpractice lawsuit could lead the physicians to greater compliance with guidelines in the long term. In conclusion, Health care reformers, physicians as well as guidelines developers should understand that guidelines have both medical and legal aspects as a double-edges sword. so clinicians, legal representatives and decision-makers should not defer unduly to guidelines.
Within regional and municipal planning we are using several levels or types of EIA in the city of Dresden. Some of these types, practical aspects and some experiences of our work will be presented in this contribution. Firstly I may introduce you to some general conditions for your better understanding of our principles of work. Surely you know about. the destruction of the political and economical structures in Eastern Germany since 1989. Until today our not quite simple task is to build up new ones. At the same time people were in great expectation of freedom and high standard of living as soon as possible. Economical difficulties increased in association with the breakdown of the market in Eastern Europe. How to rebuild industrial estatements and how to renew the traffic systems? We had to find answers to all these complex question. Should we only repair the former damages or could we reach a really environmental sound production for the future? The demand for a rapid economic growth is an incredible challenge for the application of new environmental ideas. I am truly not sure whether you know the city of Dresden or not. So I would like to give you a short introduction. Dresden is situated in a valley shaped by the river Elbe. There live about 500,000 people. Dresden has a great reputation for arts and sciences. Its also well know as a town of high technology industries such as electronics and optics. We restored the power plant and therefore we don't need any atomic power plants actually we haven't got one. Since 1990 there were founded many official agencies in Dresden because it is the capatal of Saxony. Considering nature and environment we there is a large forest area called "Dresdner Heide". The river Elbe and the meadows are situated on both sides of the river. There are a lot of green and free places in the city area too. Furtheron there is something unusual for a large city: about 50% of the drinking water resources mostly take place within the city itself. The origin is the ground water as well as water from the river Elbe after filtration of course.
The interstellar dust grains are formed and supplied to interstellar space from asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars or supernova remnants, and become constituents of the star- and planet-formation processes that lead to the next generation of stars. Both a qualitative, and a compositional study of this cycle are essential to understanding the origin of the pre-solar grains, the missing sources of the interstellar material, and the chemical evolution of our Galaxy. The AKARI/MIR all-sky survey was performed with two mid-infrared photometric bands centered at 9 and $18{\mu}m$. These data have advantages in detecting carbonaceous and silicate circumstellar dust of AGB stars, and the interstellar polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons separately from large grains of amorphous silicate. By using the AKARI/MIR All-Sky point source catalogue, we surveyed C-rich and O-rich AGB stars in our Galaxy, which are the dominant suppliers of carbonaceous and silicate grains, respectively. The C-rich stars are uniformly distributed across the Galactic disk, whereas O-rich stars are concentrated toward the Galactic center, following the metallicity gradient of the interstellar medium, and are presumably affected by the environment of their birth place. We will compare the distributions of the dust suppliers with the distributions of the interstellar grains themselves by using the AKARI/MIR All-Sky diffuse maps. To enable discussions on the faint diffuse interstellar radiation, we are developing an accurate AKARI/MIR All-Sky diffuse map by correcting artifacts such as the ionising radiation effects, scattered light from the moon, and stray light from bright sources.

Recent observations have shown that coronal magnetic fields in the northern (southern) hemisphere tend to have negative (positive) magnetic helicity. There has been controversy as to whether this hemispheric pattern is of surface or sub-surface origin. A number of studies have focused on clarifying the effect of the surface differential rotation on the change of magnetic helicity in the corona. Meanwhile, recent observational studies reported the existence of transient shear flows in active regions that can feed magnetic helicity to the corona at a much higher rate than the differential rotation does. Here we propose that such transient shear flows may be driven by the torque produced by either the axial or radial expansion of the coronal segment of a twisted flux tube that is rooted deeply below the surface. We have derived a simple relation between the coronal expansion parameter and the amount of helicity transferred via shear flows. To demonstrate our proposition, we have inspected Yohkoh soft X-ray images of NOAA 8668 in which strong shear flows were observed. As a result, we found that the expansion of magnetic fields really took place in the corona while transient shear flows were observed in the photosphere, and the amount of magnetic helicity change due to the transient shear flows is quantitatively consistent with the observed expansion of coronal magnetic fields. The transient shear flows hence may be understood as an observable manifestation of the pumping of magnetic helicity out of the interior portions of the field lines driven by the expansion of coronal parts as was originally proposed by Parker (1974).
We have investigated the prevalence of canine heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) infection among 100 mixed-breed dogs raised in Chonnam Province (Koheung, Posung, Changheung, and Hwasoon) and 100 dogs randomly selected from visiting dogs to the College of Veterinary Medicine, Chonnam National University for routine physical examination. Blood samples taken from dogs were examined for the presence of Dirofilaria immitis microfilaria by the modified Knott's test, and an antigen test which was based on the sandwich ELISA(DiroCHEK(equation omitted), Synbiotics, Inc., San Diego, California, USA) was used to detect the adult heartworm-specific antigen from serum samples. The results were then compared with those of the modified Knott's test. Five(2.5%) of the 200 examined dogs were microfilaria-positive, while 8 dogs(4%) were anti-gen-positive, which suggested that the antigen test was more sensitive than the microfilarial test in detecting heartworm infection. All dogs that were microfilaria-positive were also antigen-positive. The place of origin of the heartworm-positive dogs were of Naju (4/26, 15.4%), Koheung(3/32, 9.4%), and Hwasoon (1/19, 5.3%), while none of dogs raised in Kwangju, Posung, and Changheung areas were infected with the parasite. Although not significant, more infected dogs were observed in older ages, while the difference in infection rate between male (4/98, 4.1%) and female (4/102, 3.9%) was not recognized. Our results indicated that a relatively low infection rate was observed in dogs raised in Kwangju and Chonnam area compared to the infection rate reported previously in other areas of South Korea.
The purpose of this study was to provide a master plan for the establishment of a Korean National Museum of Natural History. The origin and development of the natural history and the natural history museum were surveyed by visiting not only Korean natural history museums but also foreign ones from 1987 to 2009. Based on the obtained information, the qualitative and quantitative status of Korean natural history museums was comparatively analyzed in terms of globalization. Results indicated that Korean natural history museums ranked more than 100th in the world, and the research, management, and publications were situated in a rudimentary stage. Particularly, the number of researchers within the area was too small, and the research environment was poor in its function and resources. In addition, the specialists on exhibition and education of the museums were too few to publish the research products and academic journal articles. For that matter, a strategy as the research-specimen management-publication-exhibition-education functions should be in place to operate before the construction of National Museum of Natural History begins.
Ameloblastoma is a rare epithelial tumor of the jaw, comprising approximately $1\%$ of all tumors and cysts of odontogenic origin. The tumor has been the subject of much controversy and cliscussion. Amelobiastoma is slow growing, locally invasive, and has a high rate of total recurrence, but rarely metastasizes. This neoplasm has been considered radioresistant, so it has been treated with surgery primarily except some cases. Recently it is suggested that ameloblastoma is radiosensitive, so radiation therapy (RT) would be used in addition to or, in certain cases, in place of surgery. We report these two cases which were referred to the Department of Therapeutic Radiology for deciding tile need of postoperative RT, because amelobiastoma is rare and has been known tot be radioresistant. Postoperative RT was given to one of these two Patients.
Tungsten ore deposits in China show clearly their relationship between granitoids and orebodies. All kinds of different tungsten ore deposits, having the largest ore reserves in the world, occur in China. Major tungsten deposits in 1950'years were locally confined in three provinces such as Jiangxi, Hunan and Guangdong. However, the major tungsten ore deposits are replaced by new tungsten deposits such as Sandahozhuang, Xingluokeng, Shizhuan and Daminghsan deposit which may be larger than the previous major deposits. Tungsten ore deposits of China exhibit obviously the granitoid was the ore-bringer to form tungsten ore deposits. The wolframite-bearing quarz veins in China indicate that tungsten mineralization took place by crystallization of wolframite preferentially unless $Ca^{{+}{+}}$ was introduced from outside into the magma-origin-fluid, since it is understood that the scheelite in the Sangdong ore deposit was preferentially precipitated, because of chemical affinity, from the tungsten fluid in which Fe and Ca ions were as sufficient as to form magnetite, wolframite and scheelite. Tungsten deposits in the world are divided into two systems; W-Mo-Sn system and W-Mo system. Most of tungsten deposits in China dated to about 196-116 Ma belong to the W-Mo-Sn system, while late Cretaceous tungsten deposits such as the Sangdong deposit in Korea belongs to the W-Mo system. The genetic order of tin-tungsten-molybdenum mineralization observed in the Moping tungsten mine in China and the Sangdong in Korea may be attributed to volatile pressures in the same magma chamber. It is assumed from ages of tungsten mineralizations that ore elements such as tin, tungsten and molybdenum might be generated periodically by nuclear fission and fusion in a part of the mantle and the element generated was introduced into the magma chamber. The periodical generation of elements had determined association, depletion and enrichment of tin and molybdenum in tungsten mineralization and it results in little association of cassiterite in tungsten deposit of late Cretaceous ages. Different mechanism of emplacement of the ore-bearing magma has brought various genetic types of tungsten deposits as shown in China and the world.
