Objective & Methods : For development the new therapy applied on musculoskeletal and related diseases, We reviewed the XiaZhenDao therapy of new therapies used in other countries by texts and papers. Results : We investigated the theory, standardization, indications, contraindications, using methods, notices and advantages in textures, and compared this with other therapies. We discussed problems and requirements to using this therapy in Korea. Conclusion : The XiaZhenDao therapy is very effective new therapy to treat musculoskeletal and related diseases. To using this therapy in Korea, we will have to prepare legal and systemic equipments and supply complete educations and practices.

복합적 외상적 사건을 겪은 후 1년 이상 히스테리성 실성증으로 고통받아 온 전환장애 환자 1례를 TFT요법과 한방요법의 병행을 통해 성공적으로 치료하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하였다. 본 증례는 1년 이상의 이환기간을 가졌으며, 이환기간 동안 아들을 방화에 의한 타살로 잃은 외상성 사건을 경험했으며, 1년 동안의 약물치료를 통해 호전이 없어 부정적 정서와 자살충동이 있는 주요 우울장애가 병발된 예후가 좋지 않은 경우에 해당된다. TFT요법은 환자의 주소인 흉민을 해결하는 일차적 목표를 달성하였으며 이후 지속적인 한방요법에 대한 환자의 반응을 좋게 만들어 주었다. 입원 10일째 용천혈의 자침을 통해 환자의 말문이 열리기 시작하여 14일째 치료를 중단했다. 이후 3개월이 지난 추적 때까지도 유창한 언어를 구사하고 있었다.

Objectives : This study is designed to investigate the effect of oriental medical therapy on a 10 year old male patient had atypical Miller-Fisher syndrome with ophthalmoplegia and ptosis. Methods : We experienced a case of atypical Miller-Fisher syndrome and treated with acupuncture treatment, electro-acupuncture therapy, herbal medicine. The effect of treatment were evaluated with pictures of palpebra and eyeball movement. Results : After oriental medical treatment, ophthalmoplegia and ptosis was improved. Conclusion : Acupuncture, electro-acupuncture therapy and herbal medication is promising treatment for atypical Miller-Fisher syndrome with ophthalmoplegia and ptosis.

'Ul-zeong' comes from obsturction of qi by stress. The mind affect the body. The patient has depressed mood, irritable sign, chest discomfort, costral pain, angry state or some strange feeling on the throat. $'Y{\acute{i}}q{\acute{i}}ngbi{\grave{a}}nq{\grave{i}}'$ is a psychological therapy that a doctor changes the patient ' s psychological condition by using various method. 'yi' means moving, 'qing' means changing. Art therapy means a therapy by using artistic activities and included in $'y{\acute{i}}q{\acute{i}}ngbi{\grave{a}}nq{\grave{i}}'$ In this case, a female patient, 35 years old, who suffered from 'ul-zeong' with depressed mood, anxiety, general body weakness, anorexia, constipation. We used $'y{\acute{i}}q{\acute{i}}ngbi{\grave{a}}nq{\grave{i}}'$ besides herbal medication, acupuncture to her and her condition got improved. Therefore we reported it for the treatment.

Objectives: The prostatitis is characterized as relatively uncurable chronic recurrent illness. Because it is so difficult to treat, this study was designed to evaluate the clinical effects of herb medicine, acupuncture, and herbal acupuncture therapy on chronic prostatitis. Methods: A clinical observation was made on thirty patients with chronic prostatitis. They were treated with herb medicine, acupuncture, and herbal acupuncture therapy. Before and after treatment we measured NIH-CPSI(National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index). Results: After treatment NIH-CPSI was decreased considerably. Conclusions: This suggests a role for oriental medical therapy in treating prostatic diseases. Further study into approach and application of these treatments for prostatitis is needed.

Objectives : We have evaluated the effects of conservative treatment on two patients who were diagnosed to lumbosacral radiculopathy. Methods : Two patients were diagnosed as lumbosacral radiculopathy through needle electromyoram. We used acupuncture therapy, Cox technique to the patients. We measured visual analog scale(VAS) and needle electromyogram before and after treatment. Results : After treating acupuncture therapy, Cox technique in the cases, We find out that the patients were improved, and changed of needle electromyogram result. Conclusions : These results suggest that Cox thechnique and acupuncture therapy were effective to lumbosacral radiculopathy and reduced the low back pain and the leg myasthenic.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the results of korean traditional conservative therapy for thoraco-lumbar compression fracture and it's recovery rate and different result in accordance with sex, age, medical history. Method : We studied about 35 cases who were admitted to Jaseng Hospital of Oriental Medicine with diagnosis of 'Thoraco lumbar compression fracture' with X-ray examination. Result : Out of 35 patients 31 patients discharged with satisfying results. Most of the compression fracture occurred in age of $60{\sim}70$. And the single fractured patients recovered more easily than the multi-level fractured patients. It didn't affect the results whether the patient had another vertebral disease(such as Herniated intervertebral disc or osteoporosis) or not. And most of the patients who had vertebral compression fracture visited the western medicine hospital first. Conclusions : We analyzed the tendency of the patients who had vertebral compression fracture, and concluded that the conservative Korean traditional therapy is an effective means of treatment for the patients who have thoraco-lumbar compression fracture.

Objectives : To study trends in complementary medical therapy for the allergic rhinitis. This study analyzed research on allergic rhinitis in PubMed. Methods : We searched PubMed related to complementary medical therapy for allergic rhinitis. We analyzed 25 research papers and examined published journals, years countries, and their methods, objectives, results, interventions, participants, periods and instruments of assessment. Results : The method of studies was mostly randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. There were research papers concerning treatment and prevention with herbal medicine, acupuncture, diet, etc. There were more positive results compared to negative results for treatment and prevention. Most studies were carried out during the winter/spring period. The median for number of participants was 90.54 persons. Diagnostic criteria for enrolment were nasal symptoms, allergic skin test, serum, nasal discharge allergen specific IgE eosinophil, etc. Assessment for outcomes were nasal symptoms, serum, nasal discharge allergen specific IgE eosinophil and Quality of Life Questionnaire. Conclusions : It is necessary to study effects of acupuncture and herb medicines for allergic rhinitis and more in-depth research about trends in complementary medical therapy for allergic rhinitis.

Objective : Chronic renal failure(CRF) is defined as a permanent reduction in glomerular filtration rate(GFR), resulting in Structural and functional abnormalities. The purpose of this thesis is to report the improvement of a CRF stage4 on stroke patient through integrative medicine therapy.Methods : We treated the patient with herbal medication(Sibjeondaebo-tang gagambang), acupuncture and moxibustion as well as Western medication. We measured the Creatinine, BUN, eGFR in the serum and observed clinical symptoms During 4monthsResult : After treatment, the level of BUN and Creatinine was decreased and eGFR was increased. And the symptoms of CRF(edema, anorexia, general weakness) were improved.Conclusion : This study suggests that Integrative Medicine Therapy is effective in the treatment of CRF symptoms. In the future, for the effective management of CRF, It is considered necessary to build a systematic integrative medicine therapy.

Objectives : This study was designed to observe the effect of Chuna manual therapy on the asymmetrical alignment. Methods : To analyze static structural alignment, posterior inferior ilium deviation(PI), inflare change of pelvis were checked from full spine AP X-ray. And Cobb's angle of spine and height of shoulder girdle were analyzed. To evaluate the pain visual analogue score(VAS) was scored. Chuna therapy treated 8-10 times for 1 month. Results and Conclusions : In 3 cases, VAS was improved significantly. Full spine AP X-ray shows improvement of structural imbalace. Shoulder height difference, cobb's angle, pelvic insufficiency improved considerably. These results suggest that Chuna therapy might be effective for malalignment patients.
