  • Analyzing the aspects of pattern in MMORPG that has been leading our domestic game industry to the climax, our game industry might be thought to orient the space narrative storytelling method containing the leading life in the virtual sociality to the nature of society. It is essential to have the convergence and linkage between media in describing the lifestyle in the virtual society, which should be operated in a very flexible manner. It is, however, true that we are lacking of the quantification of designing process until now, although the designing process should have the vivid academic functions between media in advance. In addition, the designing crossing over the MMORPG genre along with the game patterns in the MMORPG genre has close correlations with the spectrum of crises emerging recently in our domestic online game industry. In other words, this essay aims at raising an issue that the selective method to the lifestyle in the virtual society being settled down as characteristics inherent to the methods of our domestic online games might deliver the improving effects through the establishment of game designing jobs and compliant plans.

  • Ginsenosides, dammarane-type triterpene saponins obtained from ginseng, have been used as a natural medicine for many years in the Orient due to their various pharmacological activities. However, the therapeutic potential of ginsenosides has been largely limited by the low bioavailability of the natural products caused mainly by low aqueous solubility, poor biomembrane permeability, instability in the gastrointestinal tract, and extensive metabolism in the body. To enhance the bioavailability of ginsenosides, diverse micro-/nano-sized delivery systems such as emulsions, polymeric particles, and vesicular systems have been investigated. The delivery systems improved the bioavailability of ginsenosides by enhancing solubility, permeability, and stability of the natural products. This mini-review aims to provide comprehensive information on the micro-/nano-sized delivery systems for increasing the bioavailability of ginsenosides, which may be helpful for designing better delivery systems to maximize the versatile therapeutic potential of ginsenosides.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics that appeared in the fashion and colors of exotic tastes used by Renoir with a view to re-evaluating his-attitude towards exotic tastes. The methods used in this study were literature research and analysis of visual data from Renoir's works. The results of the study are as follows. Renoir's exotic tastes originated from the material perspective appearing in the fashions and accessories of Algeria, Orient, Spain, and Japan. Parisienne Odalisque Lise in Harem-style, Jeanne Samari in parisienne fashion holding a Japanese fan, and Gabriel in oriental fashion were portrayed as major muses. The Algerian style consisted of white, yellow or red veils, thobes, loose pants worn in Haik, and burnous. The Oriental-style was composed of harem pants, turbans, hair accessories, ornate zouave jackets, and oriental ornaments. The Spanish-style showed gay ornaments, fitted red or yellow matador costume, red bandannas, black hats, and red dresses, plus Spanish guitars. The Japanese-style consisted of kimonos, accessories such as fans, and backgrounds with interior articles such as vases, wall picture frames, and folding screens. The exotic fashion colors were red, yellow and white. Renoir expressed the works with his delicate skills and sense of craftsmanship, and he even added creative design portrayals sometimes. He selected fashions and accessories of exotic tastes as objects and expressed the objects with materials and colors reflecting regional characteristics as such, he can be regarded as an artist wed to who fashions of exotic tastes.

  • Objectives: This study used repeated intravenous injections of Saeng Maek San (SMS) injection in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats to assess the toxicity and the stability of SMS. Methods: Six-week-old male and female SD rats reared by Orient bio Inc were chosen for this pilot study. They were randomly split into four groups: Group 1 (G1), the control group (0.3 mL of normal saline solution/day/animal), and Groups 2, 3 and 4 (G2, G3 and G4), the experimental groups (0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 mL/day/animal of SMS), respectively. Each animal received an intravenous injection of SMS once a day for four weeks. Clinical signs, body weight changes, and food consumption were monitored during the observation period, and urinalysis and hematology were conducted after four weeks of SMS or saline administration. Results: No deaths occurred in any of the four groups during the observation period. Compared to the control group, male and female rats in groups 3 and 4 (0.2 and 0.3 mL/animal/day) showed hemoglobinuria, but the low-dosage group (G2, 0.1 mL/animal/day) showed no significant changes in the clinical signs test. No significant changes due to SMS were observed in the experimental groups regarding body weight changes, food consumption urinalysis, or hematology. Conclusion: During this study, no mortalities were observed in any of the experimental groups and no hemoglobinuria was observed in the low dosage group (0.1 mL/animal/day) while it was intermittently observed in groups 3 and 4 (0.2 and 0.3 mL/animal/day). Thus, we suggest that the no-observed adverse-effect level (NOAEL) is 0.1 mL/animal/day in male and female SD rats.

  • The purpose of this research is to reveal the problems of the Western based development discourse, and to derive the future direction of postdevelopment as sustainable development. This study attempted to reveal the historical process of formation and change on development discourse. Development generally regarded as the overcome of underdevelopment, inducing the marginalization of the South as a place to follow the development model of the North. State based development discourse (Keynesian development discourse) focused on the growth by industrialization, and the supreme aim of the South was to overcome the underdevelopment. Neoliberalism development discourse emphasized on the market principle based on free competition which was recognized as the best way to provide development. However, neoliberalism discourse has been criticized for the concentration of power and inequality of class, causing on the consideration of postdevelopment because of its emphasis on growth rather than distribution and life value. This research revealed the ways of postdevelopment with fair trade and ethical consumption. However, fair trade and ethical consumption discourses clearly show somewhat limitation subsuming into neoliberal development discourse. In this respect, future ways for postdevelopment have to consider the overcoming of powers based on market and capital, and to orient into the value of redistribution in development process.

  • It is the fact that Korean police has not focused on establishing identity but focused on establishing system due to the war under the confused situation which accepted police system of continental law in the period of Japanese Colony and then accepted the police system when being governed by USA. Afterward, as political, economic, and social atmospheres outside became stable, police identity, the philosophy of police activity through internal introspection in order to orient police activity in modern society, is needed. However, most of approaches for establishing police identity have focused on phased measurement by emphasizing to find major variables. Such identity of police organization through certain measurement study could not only carry out replication but also showed its limit to internalize ideal identity. Therefore, this study analyzed the reflectivity of police activity according to how it depends on certain means and depending means as a recognition to internalize the identity in order to discuss the formation of necessity and approach in establishing police identity, and suggested its results.

  • To realize the tap coefficient of a finite impulse response(FIR) filter or the twiddle factor of a fast Fourier transform(FFT) using a current-mode analog circuit, a high accurate current-attenuator circuit is needed This paper introduces an accuracy enhancement technique in the current-mode signal processing. First of all, the DC of set-current error in a conventional current-attenuator using a gate-ratioed orient mirror circuit is analyzed and then, the current-attenuator circuit with a negligibly small DC offset-current error is introduced. The circuit consists of N-output current mirrors connected in parallel with me another. The output current of the circuit is attenuated to 1/N of the input current. On the basis of the Kirchhoff current law, the current scale ratio is determined simply by the number of the current mirrors in the N-current mirrors connected in parallel. In the proposed current-attenuator circuit the scale accuracy is limited by the ac gain error of the current mirror. Considering that a current mirror has a negligibly small ac gain error, the attainable maximum scale accuracy is theoretically -80[dB] to the input current.

  • This study attempts to develop a stochastic-dynamic real-time flow forecasting model for an event-orient watershed storage function model (SFM), which has been used as an official flood computation model in Korea, and to evaluate its performance for real-time flow forecast. The study area is the 747.5$\textrm{km}^2$ Hwecheon basin with outlet at Gaejin and the 8 single flow events during 1983-1986 are selected for comparison and verification of model parameter and model performance. The used model parameters in this study are the same values on field work. It is shown that results from the existing model highly depend on the events, but those from the developed model are stable and well predict the flows for the selected flood events. The coefficient of model efficiency between observed and predicted flows for the events was above 0.90. It is concluded that the developed model that can consider model and observation uncertainties during a flood event is feasible and produces reliable real-time flow forecasts on the area.

  • Fungi cause a number of plant and animal diseases. Because fungi are more chemically and genetically similar to animals than other organisms, this makes fungal diseases very difficult to treat. Human fungal infections are uncommon in normally healthy persons, being confined to conditions such as candidiasis (thrush) and dermatophyte skin infections such as athlete's foot. However, in the immunocompromised host, a variety of normally mild or nonpathogenic fungi can cause potentially fatal infections. Furthermore, the relative ease with which people can now visit 'exotic' countries provides the means for unusual fungal infections to be imported into this country. Fungal infections or mycoses are classified depending on the degree of tissue involvement and mode of entry into the host. These are Cutaneous, Subcutaneous, Systemic, and Opportunistic. As listed above, in superficial mycoses infection is localised to the skin, the hair, and the nails. An example is 'ringworm' or 'tinea', an infection of the skin by a dermatophyte. Ringworm refers to the characteristic central clearing that often occurs in dermatophyte infections of the skin. Dermatophyte members of the genera Trycophyton, Microsporum and Epidermophyton are responsible for the disease. Tinea can infect various sites of the body, including the scalp (tinea capitis), the beard (tinea barbae) the foot (tinea pedis: 'athlete's foot') and the groin (tinea cruris). All occur in the United Kingdom although tinea infections, other than pedis, are now rare. Candids albicans is a yeast causing candidiasis or 'thrush' in humans. As a superficial mycoses, candidiasis typically infects the mouth or vagina. C. albicans is part of the normal flora of the vagina and gastrointestinal tract and is termed a 'commensal' However, during times of ill health or impaired immunity the balance can alter and the organism multiplies to cause disease. Antibiotic treatment can also alter the normal bacterial flora allowing C. albicans to flourish. If we study mycoses of the orient medicine, we can improve the medical skills about mycoses.
