Gleditsia japonica var. koraiensis NAKAI(Leguminosae) is commonly distributed in Korea and has been used as a folk medicine in the treatment of bronchitis, neoplasm and blennorrhgia in the Orient. The aqueous acetone extract of the leaves of G. japonica was subjected to a combination of Sephadex LH-20, Cosmosil $75C_{18}-OPN$, TSK-gel Toyopearl HW 40F, Avicel cellulose, and MCI-gel CHP 20P chromatographies with various solvent systems. Twelve compounds were isolated and confirmed to be vitexin(1), isovitexin(2), orientin(3), isoorientin(4), 4-caffeoyl quinic acid(5), 5-caffeoyl quinic acid(6), 3, 5-dicaffeoyl quinic acid(7), 4, 5-dicaffeoyl quinic acid(8), caffeic acid(9), quercetin(10), isoquercitrin(11) and luteolin-7-O-glucoside(12), on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidences.

The dream is a well-known experience in the routine life. It is the image and thought being occurred during the sleep, and the complex reaction of our mental world to the event of everyday. In particular, there are so many opinions of the reason why people have a dream and this thesis is telling about the physical and pathological changes in the human as one of that various opinions. The aspects of this thesis are often founded in the diverse texts of oriental Medicine, including the Internal Classics(내경), and there were some cases that regarded the dream as diagnostic object and put to clinical uses. These attempts were not only tried out by particular orient thoght, also the ancient Greeks thought that the dream would represent important informations about the health. But, these ideas have been treated lightly by the impacts of the western medicine since the modern age. Straightforwardly, before the psycho-analytics was not development, most of the doctors and scientists regarded the dream as things like dregs of mind. The central operating bodies of the dream are the Spirit(신) and Hon and Beak(혼백), and the Spirit(신) is more essential part between the two.

Regional variation in the fatty acid content of shellfish was investigated on 5 species of Korean shellfish including murex shell, ark shell, jack-knife clam, orient hard clam, and little neck clam that were originated from 2 geographically different regions in Korea (Region 1: South coast, $34-35^{\circ}N$, $127-129^{\circ}E$; Region 2: West coast, $36-38^{\circ}N$, $126-127^{\circ}E$). Significant regional difference in total fatty acids content was observed in murex shell and little neck clam (p<0.01), but not in the other species of shellfish. The contents of saturated fatty acids, monounsaturated fatty acids, and polyunsaturated fatty acids including n-3 and n-6 fatty acids were appreciably higher in murex shell from Region 2 and in little neck clam from Region 1 than the shellfish originated from their counterpart areas (p<0.05). Nevertheless, relative percentages of the fatty acids remained constant within same species regardless of geographic regions or species. Considering the facts of that the fish/shellfish are unique sources of n-3 fatty acids and a little neck clam is the most-consumed shellfish in Korea, n-3 fatty acids intake might vary with the habitat of the shellfish that Koreans consume.

The traditional oriental materials are very important to study on Oriental or Korean studies. Every reseacher that study on this field is familier to Four Category Classification Scheme (四部分類法) as it is based on the traditional knowledge of Orient. Then, when all materials of libraries will he computerized, it will be the first condition that will has to understand about the classification of division and section of oriental knowledge, because not only ancient literature but also many dissertation of this subject will be classified. Therefore, Four Category Classification Scheme has been valuable until now. This paper is intended to help librarians to classify the traditional oriental materials or the dissertation concerned with that, to serve researched user that literatures which have been filed among various traditional bibliographies. The outline of this study are as follows: :1 Examining closely origins, developing process and characteristics of classification of Confacian Classics Part (經部) of Four Category Classification Scheme. (2) Explaning the content of division and section of Confucian Classics Part (經部). (3) Coordinating relation of division and section of Confucian Classics Part as well as those of other parts of the classification scheme. (4) Clearing up the limitation of classification related to other division. (5) Attempting to give basic knowledge on practical classification as concrete examples beloging to each division and section of classification.

Foodservice industry is the tertiary industry with the potentiality, tremendous popularity, premanancy and future-orient, it is gradually taking root as a basic industry after going through the industrialization. Furthermore, foodservice industry aim to satisfy customer based on quality, services, cleanliness, atmosphere, timing and value, besides, it is customer closeby service which to supply value and satisfaction through systemization, being manual, being technological renovation. Strategic management of foodservice industry is as following: Firstly, marketing strategy requires positing strategy to recongnize self-brand to the customer, thus requires to get hold how to take firm in customers′ mind. And then distingushed strategy requires. So somehow it is important to secure competitive in customers′ mind. Secondaryly, it requires strategy of competive advantegy. It is not to improve unique core competence of industry which is developed and studies for a long time but to pursuit diversfication based on core of industry Thirdly, it requires strategy of customer satisfaction. In these modern days it is important how much to satisfy customer, as it could be not expect continuous frowth and development without strategy of customer satisfaction. Therefore strategy of customer satisfaction is a necessary condition for the foodservice industry.

A sun tracking controller for PTC(parabolic trough concentrator) is a control system used to orient the concentrator toward the sun always, so that the maximum energy can be collected. The work presented here is a design and development of microprocessor based sun tracking control system for PTC. Sun tracking control system consists of a sun sensor and a single axis tracking control system. 80c196KC based control system consists of an analog input unit, 24V DC servomotor drive unit, I/O unit. Sun sensor has been constructed using photodiode and can detect the sun located within ${\pm}50^{\circ}$ measured from the sun sensor normal direction. The sun tracking system developed is being implemented and shows a good sun tracking performance.

The Problem of compatibility caused by the different data structure in the media and multimedia such as sound, image, video and so forth. Even if they have the same structure requires the more task to the developers, makes developer work more. The object oriented theory has recently come to the fore as the effectual solution to this problem. This paper provides how to Proceed multimedia data more effectively by using inheritance and polymorphism, which come from the main concept of object oriented theory, and shows the example of then applied to the development of a game program.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to review the acupuncture therapy and moxibustion on itching Method : We searched and reviewed chinese journals of and books of the acupuncture therapy and moxibustion on itching. Results & Conclusions : 1. Dermatopathy of itching is described as eczema, neurotic-dermititis, itching in orient medical text. 2. According to text, itching causes were wind symptom produced by deficiency of blood, deficiency syndrom of the spleen, and damp-heat. 3. Frequently used acupoints were LI10(41 frequency), SP10(29), ST36(27), SP6(22), GB20(19), Asi point(18), BL(17), back Su acupoints(13), LI4(13), SP9(10), PC6(7), HT7(7). etc 4. The practice of acupuncture was used by body acupuncture, auriculo-theraphy, loss of bleeding with needle, blum-blosson needle, dermal needle, fire needle. etc. 5. Moxibustions are mild moxibustion, non-scar producing moxibustion, herb- moxibustion. etc.

We have studied electro-optic characteristics of reflective $45^{\circ}$ twisted nematic liquid crystal display which implement the new LC orientation using of in-cell retarder film. For the embodiment of reflective liquid crystal display, essentially the optic compensation films was always needed and attached to the outside of glass substrate. In our study, these optic compensation film were not employed in reflective LC cell. On other hand we have employed the in-cell retarder to substitute the optic compensation film and were able to orient the LC molecules using this in-cell retarder. So we have developed the reflective LC cell that has good optical performances without any additional coating process on the in-cell retarder.
