The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the multicultural competence of the daycare center directors on their organizational effectiveness. A total of 359 child-care center directors studying at C university in Seoul were randomly selected and interviewed. The study results were as follows: a) with respect to job-satisfaction, multicultural skill had a positive influence, multicultural knowledge had a negative influence, and multicultural perception and attitude had no significant influence on job satisfaction; b) with respect to organizational adaptation, multicultural perception and attitude and multicultural skill had positive influences, but multicultural knowledge found to have a negative influence; c) with respective to organizational commitment, multicultural perception and attitude and multicultural skill had positive influences, but multicultural knowledge had no significant influence. The results implicate the fact that there need to be more practical programs for child-care center directors in which they can facilitate their multicultural perceptions, attitudes and develop practical skills.
The purpose of this research is to verify the moderating impact of perceived organizational support between job satisfaction and organizational commitment among the workers in small and medium sized enterprises in South Korea. For this research, 117 workers were selected through a survey from September 7th to 25th, 2015. As results, perceived organizational support had the moderating effect between job satisfaction and organizational commitment of the workers. These findings suggest that corporate welfare programs should be launched in order to maximize the managerial effectiveness in the workplace. In addition, the government must develop and provide appropriate supportive systems for the well-being of the employees in the small and medium sized enterprises. Finally, the employees should make efforts to let the government and companies recognize their unique needs in work and life.
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find out factors that affect turnover intention among dental hygienists. This study also provides a method to decrease the turnover intention, and demonstrates plans to improve organizational effectiveness. Methods : The data was collected from 300 dental hygienists working at dental clinics in Daegu and Kyungbuk province during the month of September, 2010. The total of 152 copies were used for analysis. The questionnaires were consisted of 6 categories: turnover intention, empowerment, organizational commitment, burnout, stress, and job satisfaction. T-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, multiple regression were applied in this analysis. Results : 1. Looking at the relations between turnover intention and general characteristics, urnover intention was the highest among 20-29 age group, junior college graduates, and the group that had lees than 2-5 years of working experiences(p<0.05). Regarding marital status, singles had higher turnover intention than married people. 2. Looking at the correlation among turnover intention, empowerment, organizational commitment, burnout, stress, and job satisfaction, most of these factors showed significant correlations. However the correlations between organizational commitment and stress, stress and empowerment, stress and job satisfaction were not significant(p<0.05). 3. Organizational commitment and stress had significant influence on turnover intention(p <0.05). Organizational commitment was the most significant factor and it negatively influences the turnover intention. Conclusions : In order to decrease the turnover intention among dental hygienists, plans that can increase the organizational commitment should be implemented by improving organization-related factors.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to provide a person-job fit as the basis for a better job environment and human resource development by examining the causal relationships with the perceived organizational support and job satisfaction of 45 public health center nurses located in Gyeonggi Province. Methods: Frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, path analysis, mediating effect, and moderating effect were verified for use by SPSS & AMOS 22 ver. to target to nurses located in Gyeonggi Province. Results: First, the person-job fit has a positive effect on the perceived organizational support and job satisfaction. Second, the perceived organizational support has a partial mediating effect. Third, there was no difference in verifying the moderating effect of full-time public servants and temporary public servants. Conclusion: This study examined the relationship among the person-job fit, job satisfaction as an organizational effectiveness, and the perceived organizational support of mediated effect for nurses working at public health centers. The nurses in government service containing permanent and temporal employees was the adjustment effect. The analysis results showed that the ability of public health center nurses to perform tasks related to person-job fit and the ability of the individual to perceived organizational support was high. In addition, and the job satisfaction was good.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the interrelation of influential factors in organizational conflict and organizational commitment. The data for this study were collected through a self-administered survey with a structured Questionnaire to 1,167 subjects from several nursing staff members, administration staff members and medical technicians of six hospitals. In this analysis frequency test, t-test, ANOVA, hierarchical multiple regression and structural equation model were used. The main findings of this study are as follows. 1. Factors which influence organizational conflict were analyzed. The type of occupation and the year of service were socio-demographic variables which influenced organizational conflict positively. Adjusted R square was 0.03. Perceptions on organizational structure and organizational culture were analyzed with two- level variables that were added. The findings were as follows. Adjusted R square increased to 0.25. The year of service, internal process culture and rational goal culture were positive variables. The design of organizational structure, human relations culture and open system culture were negative variables. 2. Variables which influence organizational commitment were analyzed. Age and the year of service were positive variables, while academic background based on high school education was a negative variable. Adjusted R square was 0.16. Perceptions on organizational structure and organizational culture were analyzed with two-level variables that were added. The findings were as follows. The characteristics of organizational structure, human relations culture and organizational culture were positive variables. Adjusted R square increased to 0.55. The variables of organizational conflict were added in 3 steps. Findings were as follows. The variables of hierarchical conflict showed negative influence and were included in two-level influential variables. Adjusted R square increased to 0.56. 3. Structural equation model was analyzed in order to examine the relation between organizational structure and the variables of organizational culture, organizational conflict and organizational commitment. Thirteen path coefficients out of seventeen path coefficients were significant. Age had negative influence on organizational conflict and positive influence on organizational commitment. The year of service had positive influence on organizational conflict and organizational commitment. The design of organizational structure, human relations culture and open system culture had negative influence on organizational. conflict. They had positive influence on organizational commitment. Internal process culture and rational goal culture had positive influence on organizational conflict. Organizational conflict had negative influence on organizational commitment. The squared multiple correlation of this model was 25.1% in organizational conflict and 52.7% in organizational commitment. The conclusion of this study is as follows. Factors in organizational structure and organizational culture, rather than socio-demographic factors, had a stronger influence on the organizational conflict and organizational commitment of hospitals. In order to decrease organizational conflict, to increase organizational commitment and to maximize the effectiveness of hospital management, it is necessary to understand the overall relation between organizational structure, organizational culture, organizational conflict and organizational commitment, with the effort of improving personalized factors and individual factors of organization management.
The hotel industry in China has shown great growth both in terms of quantity and quality, but management of the most important element of the success of the hotel company is still not enough. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of emotional intelligence including self emotional appraisal, others' emotional appraisal, regulation of emotion, use of emotion on Chinese hotel employees' resilience to improve job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and to reduce turnover intention. Also, the relationship between job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention was investigated. In order to analyze this, we surveyed 322 employees of Shanghai 4, 5star hotel in China. Empirical analysis showed that self emotional appraisal, regulation of emotion, and use of emotion of Chinese hotel employees had a positive effect on resilience, but others' emotional appraisal did not affect resilience. In addition, the resilience showed a positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, but not on turnover intention. Also, job satisfaction has a significant negative effect on organizational commitment and turnover intention, and organizational commitment has a significant negative impact on turnover intention. This study aims to provide a better understanding of emotional intelligence and resilience, and to provide effective management of human resources management.
The aim of this study was to determine how to improve smart working in South Korea. Smart working has recently become a key issue in e-government and flexible working studies. Smart working can improve public servants' quality of life and job performance. However, institutional, managerial, and infrastructural conditions that support smart working must be implemented for smart working arrangements to be successful. Therefore, this study analyzed the impact of institutions, management, and infrastructure on the effectiveness of public servants working in smart working conditions. The results showed that institutional, managerial, and infrastructural factors have a significant impact on the effectiveness of civil servants working in smart working conditions. Institutional and infrastructural factors also influenced organizational effectiveness. These findings have implications for how to manage smart working in the public sector in South Korea.
It has been asserted that information technology (IT) is being exploited by a number of corporations for strategic advantage. The successful implementation of an organization-wide IT, however, not only depends on its strategic and technological feasibility, but also on the effectiveness of organizational transformation strategies. In this case, the organizational transformation strategy and its success for the adoption of computerized typesetting systems (CTS) by one of the largest Korean newspaper companies, are described With an analysis on the Korean newspaper industry, the case explains the internal and external pressure towards the introduction of the new information technology and its development process. It also provides the architecture and operational mechanism of the CTS. Finally, the case analyzes the impact of the system on the competitive behaviors of the rivals in the industry.
The purpose of this article is to depict the organizational effectiveness of "A" Subway Corporation based on the cognitive response of employees(subway drivers). To attain this purpose, several aspects of current personnel aid organization management system and organizational culture are surveyed through questionaire and analyzed by SPSS. The questionaire includes two parts of items. First, it includes items on personnel-related factors such as evaluation system job, wage, role, leadership and job satisfaction. Second, it includes items on organizational culture model suggested by Rousseau. The major findings are : 1) In general the cognitive response of driven concerning personnel-related aspects is to a certain degree negative. 2) The cognitive response of drivers concerning culture-related aspects is awfully negative. 3) Job satisfaction of drivers is highly related to role and leadership factors in terms of personnel-related aspects, on the one hard, and to achievement factor in terms of culture, on the other hand.
The purpose of this Study is to present the tasks and means of improving the operational system of public culture and arts institutes in the future on the basis of the analysis of the effectiveness of operation of public culture and arts institutes. The summary of the results of analysis in this Study is as follows: Firstly, it was found that the factor variables that impart effect on the operation of public culture and arts institutes included (1) artistic value, (2) convenience and (3) organizational management, while the performance variable of public culture and arts institutes was (4) operational performance. Secondly, in the analysis of the structure that explains the operational effects of public culture and arts institutes, convenience and organizational management were found to impart effects on the operational performances. However, artistic value was found to have no effect on operational performances. Therefore, these results of analysis imply that organizational management and convenience, rather than artistic value, need to be fortified in order to elevate the operational performances of public culture and arts institutes.
