양송이의 균사생장(菌絲生長) 및 자실체(子寶體) 수량(收量)에 미치는 복토재료(覆土材料)의 이화학적(理化學的) 성질(性質)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Physico-Chemical Characteristics of Different Casing Materials Affecting Mycelial Growth and Yield of Cultivated Mushroom, Agaricus bisporus (Lange) Sing.)

  • Since the importance of casing in fruit body formation of Agaricus bisporus has been emphasized, physico-chemical characteristics of casing materials were discussed by many workers and a mixture of peat and mineral soil as proper casing material has been adopted in many of mushroom growing countries. Because of limited resources of peat in Korea, it is necessary to find practical performance and substitutional materials for casing. The effect of casing on mycelial growth and mushroom yield of A. bisporus varied with materials, its combination and practices etc. The experiments to be discussed in this paper are concerned with pH and Ca of casing material which influence A bisporus, and changes of physico-chemical characteristics with mixing ratio of casing materials and its effect on A. bisporus. The optimum range of moisture content of each material, management of watering and application of physico-chemical characteristics casing materials was also investigated and re-use of weathered spent compost for casing material was described. 1. The effect of calcium on mycelial growth of A. bisporus at various pH in Halbschalentest showed different results with calcium sources. Best results were obtained around neutrality and fresh weight of fruit bodies grown in the range of pH 7 to 8 was highest among the tested levels. 2. Available moisture, pore space, organic matter, cation exchangeable capacity and exchangeable cation was increased by an increase of mixing ratio of peat in casing materials, while an adverse effect was obtained by addition of sand. 3. Mycelial growth on clay loam was more rapid at a lower bulk density of 0.75g/cc and at 20% moisture content on a dry weight basis at the same bulk density. 4. Mixing ratio of casing materials, 60 to 80 per cent by volume of peat mixed with 20 to 40 per cent of clay loam produced the highest yield of fresh fruit bodies and sand the lowest. However, per cent of open cap was highest in peat and lowest in sand. 5. Days required for fruit body initiation was shortened in mixtures of peat and clay loam by one to three days compared with other materials and the formation of flushes was clear. 6. The effect of some physico-chemical characteristics of casing materials on the fresh weight of fruit bodies were estimated by a multiple regression equation; Y=-923.86+$8.18X_1+8.04X_2+7.90X_3+0.12X_4+2.03X_5-0.82X_6-0.54X_7$ where $X_1,X_2,X_3,X_4,X_5,X_6,X_7$ are sand, silt, clay, available moistuer, porosity, organic matter and exchangeable cation respectively. The productivity of certain casing material could be predicted from this equation. 7. Fresh weight of fruit bodies was positively correlated with porosity exchangeable cation, organic matter, available moisture, silt and clay of materials; while sand was negatively correlated. On the contrary, sand was the unique factor reducing per cent of open cap. 8. Distribution of three phases of high productive casing material was concentrated in the range of 10 to 30 per cent solids, 15 to 30 per cent liquids, and 50 to 60 per cent in air volume. 9. Fresh weight of fruit bodies from peat was not affected with heavy watering but in clay loam and sandy loam severe crop losses occurred. Fresh weight of individual fruit was increased and open caps were decreased with heavy watering but light watering resulted in adverse effects: its effect was especially great in peat. 10. Optimum range of moisture content by weight on a dry basis was different with each casing material. To maintain optimum moisture content concerned with yield of fruit bodies and open cap, sandy loam and peat mixtures required daily watering of 0.6, 0.6 to 1. 2 and 1.2 to 2.4 liters per $3.3m^2$ of bed area, respectively. 11. Maximum yield of fruit body was recorded in the range of pF 2. 0 to 2. 5 of casing materials if organic matter content was below 4.2 per cent and in pF 1. 3 to 1.8 if above 7.1%. 12. pF curve of a certain casing material could be draws from moisture content at various pF values by multiple regression equations provided texture, organic matter and calcium of the casing material are given. Optimum moisture range of the casing materials also could be estimated by the equation. 13. It was possible to improve the phyico-chemical characteristics of clay loam and sandy loam by addition of weathered spent compost although the effect was less than in the case of peat. Fresh weight of fruit bodies wsa increased by addition of weathered spent compost but its effect was not as remarkable as peat. Accordingly, further studies will be required.

과수원 피복작물 재배의 이론과 실제 (Theory and Practice of Cover Crops Growing in Orchard)

  • To carry out the Integrated Fruit Production(IFP), researches on cover crops as well the Integrated Pest Management(IPM) and the Integrated Nutrition Management(INM) should be very important. These concepts are neither clear nor connective till now. The researches on cover crops in Europe and USA are being kept within the category of IFP. Main researches on fruit trees for sustainable agriculture in Italy are new variety creation, development of growing techniques, pest and disease control, and cover crops management, etc. It is necessary of fruit industry in Korea to maintain good quality and taco-friendly fruit production. For this goal, we need international cooperation with highly developed countries in Europe. In first step, we should enlarge research areas and analyze results obtained to get farmers understood the concept of cover crop growing, Furthermore, we make researches more profoundly on cover crops growing considering tree age, mixing rates among cover crops, seeding and cutting time for cover crops, and so on. Researchers, specialists of agricultural extensions, and farmers should concentrate their opinions and conduct IFP together. The IFP should go on systematically and reach finally to get certificates internationally by the International Organization for Biological and integrated Control of Noxious Animals and Plants(IOBC) to enhance selling and exporting fruits.

때죽나무 열매 추출물을 이용한 왕우렁이 방제효과 (Molluscicidal Effect Using Styrax japonicus Fruit Extracts Against Golden Apple Snails)

  • Golden apple snails (Pomacea canaliculata) were first introduced as food for high protein source and were later widely used as a means of weeding in rice paddies by taking of their vigorous feeding habits. Since 2000, the wintering of golden snails has been found and damage to rice plants occurred by them. To prevent damage, a means to control golden apple snails has become necessary. In this study, we investigated the possibility of eco-friendly control of golden apple snail by using Styrax japonicus fruit that grow naturally in-country. When the ethanol extract of the fruit was treated for controlling golden apple snail, the effect of over 90% was confirmed at 250 and 125 ppm after 1 day. Using UPLC MS analysis, two major compounds, dihydrorotenone known as a natural pesticide was detected. The molluscicidal activity was confrimed at 50 ppm of dihydrorotenone standard material. Our results showed that the possibility of developing an eco-friendly agent of golden apple snail using S. japonicus fruit was confirmed.

유기농과 관행재배 된 배의 과실품질과 페놀함량 및 항산화 활성 비교 (Fruit Quality, Total Phenol Content, and Antioxidant Activity of Fruit Obtained from a Sustainably Managed vs Conventionally Managed Asian Pear (Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai) Orchard)

  • 최근에 유기 재배된 과실이 관행재배와 비교해서 건강관련 물질과 관련된 화합물이 다량 분포된다는 연구와 주장이 제기되어 왔지만, 국내에서는 두 가지 재배방법에 따른 과실품질을 분석한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구는 유기농과 관행으로 재배 된 배 '신고'의 과실품질과 폴리페놀 및 항산화 활성을 조사하였다. 처리는 키틴 복합퇴비+키틴 액비(구역 A), 키틴 복합퇴비+적외선으로 처리 된 키틴 액비(구역 B), 그리고 관행재배 시스템(구역 C와 D)으로 나누었다. 처리구간에 따른 수확기 과실 품질은 일정한 효과를 나타내지 않았다. 과실 저장 60일 후 유기농 구역 A와 B에서 재배된 과실의 경도와 페놀함량의 평균은 관행 재배구보다 약간 더 높은 경향을 보였다. 모든 구역에서 수확 시기에는 낮은 함량의 폴리페놀 산화효소 활성을 나타냈으나, 저장 기간 동안 증가하는 경향을 나타냈다. 유기 재배구인 구역 B는 다른 재배구들에 비교해서 과실 내 높은 전자 공여도를 나타내었다.

소도시 주부의 과일과 채소에 관련된 행동과 태도에 관한 연구 (Attitudes and Behaviors Related to Fruit and Vegetables among Housewives in the Small City)

  • This study was to investigate the consumption pattern, behaviors, and motivational attitudes related to fruit and vegetables. Data were collected from 344 mothers whose children were attending an elementary school and a middle school in Kimcheon. The average vegetable expenses were under 10,000 won per week. The frequency of purchasing vegetables was 2-3 times a week. Housewives usually bought the vegetables at local markets and grand shopping centers. As for buying vegetables, housewives considered the organic vegetables, preference, price, and nutrition in order. In the family, the vegetables were favored by husbands most and by sons least. The average fruit expenses were under 10,000 won per week. The frequency of purchasing fruit was 2-3 times a week. Housewives usually bought the fruit at local markets and grand shopping centers. As for buying fruit, housewives considered preference, price, and nutrition in order. The fruit were favored by all members most and by husbands least. Housewives identified barriers to increasing vegetables and fruit consumption, including preference for other foods, lack of availability, cost, and time and effort to prepare. Several implications for nutrition interventions were suggested. First, a key motivation for these women was eating healthy food when they are pregnant, suggesting a persuasive appeal to use in interventions. Second, review of the women's current behaviors led to an identification of four specific behaviors that had the most potential for increasing overall consumption. Finally, the findings suggested ways in which nutrition interventions could address each of the barriers identified.

봉지종류와 수확시기가 '추황배'의 수상에서의 과피흑변과 과실품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Paper Bag Types and Harvesting Dates on Skin Blackening and Fruit Quality of 'Chuhwangbae' Pear Trees)

  • '추황배' 배 과수원에 봉지종류와 수확시기를 달리하였을 때 수상의 과피흑변과 발생과 수확 후 과실품질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 규명하기 위하여 수행되었다. 본 시험은 두 가지로, 첫 번째는 네 종류의 봉지(신문지외지/황색내지, 회색외지/황색내지, 신문지외지/흑색내지, 신문지외지/적색내지) 시험이었고, 두 번째 시험은 만개 후 160일, 170일, 180일, 190일, 200일에 수확하였을 때 과피흑변과와 과실품질을 조사하였다. 신문지외지/황색내지의 봉지가 투광도와 투기도 및 수분투과도인 물리성이 향상되었고, 신문지외지/적색내지가 봉지물리성이 낮은 경향을 보였다. 신문지외지/황색내지는 수상에서의 과피흑변과 발생이 나타나지 않았고, 신문지외지/적색내지를 괘대처리 한 과실에서는 약 12.7%의 과피흑변과가 관찰되었다. 과피흑변은 주로 과실의 중앙부와 과정부에서 집중적으로 발생되었다. 신문지외지/적색내지를 이용한 유대재배는 평균과중, 경도, 산도, 그리고 착색이 향상되는 경향을 보였다. 수확시기가 늦어질수록(만개 후 190일과 200일에 수확) 과피흑변, 평균과중, 당도가 증가되었고 반대로 과실경도와 산도는 감소되었다.

친환경 과원의 단감 '부유'(Diospyros kaki 'Fuyu') 과실의 동상해에 미치는 나무의 식재위치와 착과방향의 영향 (Effect of Planting Site and Direction of Fruiting on Fruit Frost Damage in Persimmon (Diospyros kaki 'Fuyu') Fruits from Environment-friendly Orchard)

  • 본 연구는 친환경단감과원의 부유(Diospyros kaki 'Fuyu') 과실을 대상으로 창원과 창녕지역에서 발생한 저온내습(2012년 11월 2일)으로 인한 가을 동상해발생과 식재위치(표고) 및 나무 내에서의 착과 방향의 관계를 알아보고자 수행되었다. 창녕지역 과원의 과중과 과실횡경은 착과방향에 의해 강하게 영향을 받았으며(p<0.01), 과실종경과 동상해발생은 식재위치(p<0.01)와 깊은 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 과실경도와 과실종경은 각각 착과방향과 식재위치의 영향을 받는 것으로 밝혀졌다(p<0.05). 특히 동상해는 과원 하단에 식재된 나무의 과실(15.2%)과 잎(약 90%)에서 심하게 나타나 동상해의 주요 요인이 과원의 지형적 특징인 것으로 나타났다. 과실 동상해를 입은 과실은 과피에 수침상 반점이나 흔적이 발생했다. 한편 창원지역의 과원에서는 과실횡경이 식재위치의 영향을 받은 것(p<0.05)을 제외하고 식재위치와 착과방향이 과실의 생육 및 동상해발생에 영향을 주지 않았다.

포도 '캠벨얼리'에서 유기칼슘제 수관살포에 의한 엽병과 과피의 무기성분 농도 및 과실품질 (Effects of tree-spray of organic calcium agent on the mineral nutrition concentration of petiole, fruit skin and fruit quality at harvest in 'Campbell Early' grapevine)

  • 포도 '캠벨얼리' 품종에서 유기칼슘제(ECa)를 수체살포하여 엽병과 과피의 칼슘농도, 과실품질 및 탄저병 발생에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 칼슘제별 수체살포는 엽병 및 수확 시 과피의 칼슘농도는 무처리에 비하여 염화칼슘 0.4%, ECa 250X 및 MCa 500X 처리가 현저하게 증가하였다. ECa 시기별 수체살포는 엽병 및 수확 시 과피의 칼슘농도는 개화 7일후 및 14일후 처리가 무처리 및 21일 후처리에 비하여 현저히 증가되었다. ECa 농도별 수체살포는 엽병 및 수확 시 과피의 칼슘함량은 500X 및 무처리에 비하여 250X 및 125X 처리에서 현저하게 증가되었다. ECa 수체살포는 시기별, 농도별 과실품질 및 과방의 크기, 탄저병 및 열과 발생율은 통계적 유의성을 인정할만한 큰 차이는 나타내지 않았다. ECa 농도별 수체살포에 의한 약해발생은 육안으로 발견하지 못하였다.

화분매개곤충과 인공수분이 '신고' 배의 과실품질과 수익성에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Insect Pollination and Artificial Pollination on Fruit Quality and Economic Profit in the 'Niitaka' Pear (Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai))

  • 꽃가루가 없는 '신고' 배에서 화분매개곤충의 수분효과를 확인하기 위하여, 망실과 노지에서 꿀벌, 서양뒤영벌과 인공수분 간의 과총착과율과 수확물 특성을 비교하였다. 수분방법별 착과율을 조사한 결과, 망실에서는 인공수분이 77.1%로 서양뒤영벌보다 1.3배, 꿀벌보다 1.9배 높았다. 노지에서는 인공수분이 38.4%로 서양뒤영벌과 꿀벌보다 1.2배, 1.3배 높았다. 장소별로는 망실이 노지보다 1.3-2.2배 높은 과총착과율을 보여주었다. 화분매개곤충 별로는 서양뒤영벌이 꿀벌보다 같거나 1.5배 높은 과총착과율을 나타내었다. 수확물 특성을 조사한 결과, 인공수분이 과실 크기, 무게가 꿀벌보다 화분매개곤충보다 5-10% 정도 높고, 과형지수도 2-3% 높은 것으로 나타났다. 경제성 분석결과, 인공수분 대비 순수익지수가 서양뒤영벌은 97.0%, 꿀벌은 93.1%로 나타났다. 따라서, 화분이 나오지 않는 '신고' 배에서 인공수분이 화분매개곤충보다 더 효과적이지만, 과실품질과 경제성을 고려할 때, 인공수분을 대체할 수 있다고 생각된다.

껍질 형태의 과일폐기물과 하수슬러지를 이용한 회분식 혐기 소화공정에서 메탄 생산 (Methane Production Using Peel-type Fruit Wastes and Sewage Sludge in Batch Anaerobic Digestion Process)

  • 본 연구는 사과나 귤의 껍질류 과일 폐기물과 하수슬러지가 혼합된 유기성 폐기물을 이용한 회분식 혐기 분해공정에서 메탄 생산이 고찰되었다. 사과껍질 또는 귤껍질이 하수슬러지와 혼합된 기질로 사용되어졌을 때, 3 : 7의 혼합비로 운전한 것이 가장 높은 메탄 생산을 나타내었다. 그러나, 이 비율 이상에서는 사과와 귤 껍질이 함유된 유기산으로 인하여 혼합물의 pH가 8.0에서 4.5~4.7으로 감소하였으며, 결과적으로 메탄 생산이 낮아졌다. 이러한 실험 결과들은 사과, 귤 껍질과 하수슬러지의 혼합된 회분식 혐기 소화 공정에서 바이오에너지로서 메탄가스의 생산 시스템에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
