고성능액체크로마토그래피에 의한 Isothiazolinone Components의 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Isothiazolinone Components by High Performance Liquid Chromatography)

  • 냉각탑, 제지산업, 일반 산업용수 등에 사용되는 산업용 방부제의 유효 성분 isothiazolinone components 즉, 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one(unchlorinated compound)과 5-chloro-2-methy14-isothiazolin-3-one(chlorinated compound)을 고성능액체크로마토그래피로서 분리, 정량하였다. 역상의 C$_{18}$ column (15 cmX3.9 mm I.D.)을 사용하였으며 자외선 검출기의 파장 254 nm에서 methanol-0.4% acetic acid(40 : 60)의 이동상, methanol-0.4% acetic acid(30: 70)의 추출 및 주입용매 조건으로 HPLC 분리를 시도한 결과 unchlorinated compound는 10~32,400 mg/l 범위에서, 그리고 chlorinated compound는 120~107,400 mg.l의 범위에서 직선성을 보였다. 내부 표준물질로서 dimethyl phthalate를 사용하였으며, unchlorinated compound, chlorinated compound 및 내부 표준물질의 순서로 븐리가 일어났고 총 분리시간은 6.41분이었다. 상기의 조건으로 시험물질을 분석, 정량한 결과 예측농도치에 근접한 수치를 얻었다.

전과정평과를 통한 유기농자재의 탄소배출량 산정연구 -유기질비료를 중심으로- (A Study on the Amount of Carbon Emission of Organic Materials through Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA))

  • ● The current world is suffering abnormal climate caused by global warming. The main cause of global warming is greenhouse gas such as carbon dioxide. The carbon labeling system and carbon traceability system being pushed ahead in the agricultural sector is the policy for responding to climate change to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. To make this policy more effective and enhanced, the amount of carbon emissions should be calculated based on the kind of crops or the various businesses in the agricultural sector. Therefore, in order to estimate the accurate amount of carbon emissions, it is necessary to establish carbon dioxide emission intensity of various agricultural materials added onto the agriculture, and to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide emission for each crop according to agricultural production. The purpose of this study is to establish the amount of emission, emission per agricultural materials, of agricultural materials being added for crop production as a basic step, and emission intensity which can be used in the future market in order to estimate accurate amount of carbon emission in all the policies being promoted in the agricultural sector. Therefore, in this study, in order to build LCI D/B about organic fertilizers among many organic materials added onto the organic agriculture sector, one leading company in organic fertilizer production was selected and LCA was conducted for this leading company. We had to build the intensity and integrated average concept of intensity upon the two cases once production farmers for their own consumption and farms besides organic fertilizer company were categorized even if it's little amount. But in this study, individually produced organic fertilizers were excluded. Calculated results are following. Carbon emission of mixed expeller cake fertilizer in organic fertilizer was 1,106,966.89kg-$CO^2$ and emission intensity was 0.01606kg-$CO^2$, respectively. Total emission of mixed organic fertilizers was 241,523.2kg-$CO^2$ and emission intensity was 0.01705kg-$CO^2$. And total emission of organic compound fertilizers was 94,592.66kg-$CO^2$ and emission intensity was 0.01769kg-$CO^2$, respectively.

Antagonism and Structural Identification of Antifungal Compound from Chaetomium cochliodes against Phytopathogenic Fungi

  • As a part of the integrated disease system in greenhouse, an antifungal fungus(AF1) was isolated from greenhouse soil. It exhibited strong inhibitory activites against Pythium ultimum, Phytophtora capsici, Rhizoctonia solani, Botrytis cinerea, and Fusarium oxysporum based on dual culture on 1/5 strength of potato dextrose agar between antagonistic fungus and several plant pathogens. The antagonistic fungus was identified as Chaetomium cochliodes, based on morphological characteristics; the body of the perithecium bears straight or slightly wavy, unbranched hairs, whilst the apex bears a group of spirally coiled hairs. To investigate antagonistic principles, antifungal compound was extracted and fractionated by different solvent systems. An antifungal compound was isolated as pure crystal from is culture filtrate using organic solvent extraction and column chromatography, followed by preparative thin layer chromatography. The chemical structure of the purified antifungal compound was identified as chaetoglobosin A based on the data obtained form $^1H-NMR$, $^{13}C-NMR$, DEPT 90, 135, $^1H-^1H$ COSY, $^1H-^{13}C$ COSY and EI/MS. $ED_{50}$ values of the chaetoglobosin A against P. ultimum, P. capsici, R. solani, B. cinerea and F. oxysporum were 1.98, 4.01, 4.16, 2.67 and 35.14 ppm, respectively.

  • The corrosion inhibitive effect of a new hydrazone-based heterocyclic compound for steel in simulated concrete pore solution with 3.5 wt.% sodium chloride was investigated by experimental and computational techniques. Electrochemical studies, up to 30 days of immersion, and surface analysis (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and scanning electron microscope (SEM)) were performed to assess the corrosion protection abilities of investigated compound for steel rebar. Results showed that adding the organic compound to the chloride contaminated concrete pore solution decreased the corrosion rate of the steel rebar thanks to the effective adsorption of inhibitor molecules. After 30 days of immersion of steel rebar in inhibited chloride contaminated synthetic concrete pore solution, the inhibition efficiency exceeded 80% at low concentration of 1 mmol/L. Computational studies by Density Functional based Tight Binding (DFTB) method revealed the formation of covalent bonds between the hydrazone molecule and the iron surface.

  • 신농약 개발을 목적으로 isosterism 이론을 근거로 하여 선도화합물인 2-imino-1,3-thiazoline 의 분자 수정을 통하여 분자내에 1,3-thiazoline과 urea기가 포함된 새로운 화합물 4를 디자인하였다. N-Alkylthiourea 5와 bromoacetonitrile을 에탄올 용액 중에서 반응시켜 위치 선택적으로 생성된 2,4-diimino-1,3-thiazolidine 브롬산 염 6을 isocyanate 유도체와 반응하여 화합물 4의 tautomer인 화합물 8을 얻었다. 합성된 화합물 13종을 대표적인 6종의 식물병원균, 벼 도열병, 벼 잎집무늬마름병, 오이 잿빛곰팡이병, 토마토 역병, 밀 붉은녹병, 보리 흰가루병 등에 대한 in vivo 항균력 시험을 하였다. 합성된 화합물 8의 벼 도열병원균에 대한 항균력은 2-phenylimino-1,3-thiazoline 1과 비교할 때 매우 낮았으며, 일부 화합물에서 밀붉은녹병에 대한 미약한 항균력을 나타냈다.

편백잎추출수의 실내 가습시 휘발성유기화합물 방출 특성 (Emission Characteristics of Volatile Organic Compounds by Humidifier with Using Hinoki Cypress Extracts)

  • 건축재료와 생활용품으로부터 방출되는 실내공기 오염물질들로 인한 피해가 증가하고 있는 현시점에서 친환경 제품에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 관심 속에 피톤치드에 대한 효능이 알려지면서 다양한 방법으로 사용되고 있다. 피톤치드를 다량 함유한 편백잎 증류추출수의 가습시 발생하는 휘발성유기화합물의 방출특성을 GC-MS를 이용하여 그 효과를 조사하였다. 편백잎추출수 가습시 115종의 화합물이 검출되었다. 검출된 화합물들은 aromatic compound, terpenoid, alkane, ketone, ester, aldehyde, alcohol, acid, miscellaneous compound류로 분류하였으며 aromatic compound류(13종, 38%)와 terpenoid류(23종, 33%) 화합물이 다른 화합물류에 비해 높은 비율로 검출되었다. Aromatic compound류 경우 편백잎추출수에 의한 추가 화합물은 검출되지 않아 그 영향이 없는 것으로 판단되며, terpenoid류 경우 편백잎추출수 가습시 10% 정도 증가하였고 7종의 화합물이 추가로 검출되었다. 편백잎추출수 가습시 방출된 terpenoid류 화합물들은 항균, 방충, 방부 효력뿐만 아니라 항고혈압성과 항암에 효과가 있는 것으로 알려져 있어 건강에 도움을 줄 것으로 판단된다.

용규(Solanum nigrum)에서 HT29 세포에 대한 신규 항암 활성 단일 물질 분리 (Isolation and Identification of a Novel Anticancer Compound from Solanum nigrum)

  • 용규(Solanum nigrum)에 함유된 여러 성분 중 항암 활성이 있는 물질을 분리 및 규명하고자 용규를 MeOH로 추출하고 이 추출물을 $CH_2Cl_2$, EtOAc, n-BuOH, $H_2O$로 유기용매 계통분획 하였다. 이 분획물 중 $H_2O$ 획분이 가장 뛰어난 세포 독성 효과를 보였으며 이를 다시 용매별($H_2O$, 40% MeOH, 60% MeOH, MeOH)로 Diaion HP-20 column chromatography하여 4개의 fraction으로 나누었다. 이 fraction 중 $H_2O$ fraction에서 가장 뛰어난 세포 독성효과를 보였으며 몇 차례의 column chromatography를 행하여 얻어진 활성 획분을 GC-MS 및 FAB-MS 분석하였다. 분자량이 416이었으며 GC-Mass를 통하여 library search를 행한 결과 분자식 $C_{28}H_{48}O_2$인 Des-N-26-methylenedihydrotomatidine으로 확인되었다. Des-N-26-methylene-dihydrotomatidine과 비슷한 구조를 가지고 있는 tomatine과 tomatidine의 HT29 세포에 대한 세포독성효과를 확인한 결과, tomatine보다는 활성이 낮았으나 tomatidine 보다는 40 ${\mu}g/ml$ 이상의 농도에서 높은 세포독성 효과를 나타내었다. Des-N-26-methylene-dihydrotomatidine은 지금까지 학계에 보고되어 있지 않은 물질로, 본 연구에서 최초로 용규에서 Des-N-26-methylene-dihydrotomatidine을 분리하였고, 암세포에 대한 세포 독성 효과를 보고하였다. Des-N-26-methylene-dihydrotomatidine의 정상세포에서의 세포 독성 및 작용 기전 등의 추가 연구를 통해 천연 생리 활성 물질 소재로 활용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

The Relative Importance of Indoor and Outdoor Sources for Determining Indoor Pollution Concentrations in Homes in Seoul, South Korea

  • This study measured indoor and outdoor levels of hydrocarbon volatile organic compounds (VOCs), such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene isomers (collectively referred to as BTEX), as well as 13 carbonyl compounds, at 20 homes in Seoul, South Korea. Along with the sampling of BTEX and carbonyls, indoor concentrations of the air pollutants nitrogen oxide (NO) and carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) were also measured at each home. These measurements were used to understand the characteristics of BTEX and carbonyls by calculating the various ratios and correlation coefficients between measured contaminant levels. We found that carbonyls were mostly originated from indoor sources, while BTEX were originated from both indoor and outdoor sources. A high correlation between indoor levels of NO and BTEX indicated that traffic emissions were also an important sources of BTEX.

담배 연기 중 휘발성 유기물질 분석에 대한 측정 불확도 산출 (Measurement Uncertainty for Analysis of Volatile Organic Compound in Cigarette Mainstream Smoke)

  • A measurement uncertainty for analysis of volatile organic compound (benzene) in cigarette mainstream smoke was carried out. In this study one point re-calibration method was used to estimate uncertainty for benzene. The measurement uncertainty was calculated based on the uncertainty sources of each analysis step, quality appraisal sources, drift and repeatability. As a result, the concentration and expanded uncertainty of benzene in cigarette mainstream smoke were measured as $38.08{\pm}4.36{\mu}g/cig$. Relative uncertainty of drift and repeatability obtained were 5% and 3%, respectively.

Effect of the thickness of an emitting zone by the thin alkali compound films for highly efficient $Alq_3-based$ OLEDs

  • Highly efficient and bright organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been realized using the thin alkali compound films (TACFs) at the interface between an emitting layer and an electron transporting layer with conventional organic layers. By comparing the performance of the device as a function of position with the TACFs, we propose the optimal position of the TACFs in the tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq3). A device with the ACFs showed high luminance of over 12 500 cd/m2, luminance efficiency of more than 12 cd/A, and power efficiency of more 4.5 lm/W, respectively.
