Nationwide supercomputing infrastructures in Korea consist of geographically distributed supercomputing clusters. We developed High-Throughput Computing as a Service(HTCaaS) based on these distributed national supecomputing clusters to facilitate the ease at which scientists can explore large-scale and complex scientific problems. In this paper, we present our mechanism for dynamically managing computing resources and show its effectiveness through a case study of a real scientific application called drug repositioning. Specifically, we show that the resource utilization, accuracy, reliability, and usability can be improved by applying our resource management mechanism. The mechanism is based on the concepts of waiting time and success rate in order to identify valid computing resources. The results show a reduction in the total job completion time and improvement of the overall system throughput.

Recently, due to the increase in the traffic volume of vehicle, the collision of the vehicle collision has been increased so that the neck injuries of the passengers has been increased. In order to prevent this, vehicle collision analysis research using computer simulation has been actively carried out in consideration of the design point of car seat. In this study, I used the MADYMO program for analyzing the passenger behavior using a BioRID II dummy, and predicted the neck injuries of passengers according to the change of the backset at the rearward collision of the driving speed of 16km/h. As a result, it was found that the shorter the backset, the shorter the contact start time but the contact completion time was almost the same and the T1 acceleration showed that the acceleration increased with the backset. In addition, the tensile strength increases as the backset increases, and NIC (Neck Injury Criterion) increases as the head speed reaches the headrest.

Drones, one of the 4th industrial technologies that are expanding from military use to industrial use, are being actively used in the search missions of the National Police Agency and finding missing persons, thereby reducing interest in a wide area and the input of large-scale search personnel. However, legal review of police drone operation is continuously required, and the importance of advanced system for related operations and analysis of captured images in connection with search techniques is increasing at the same time. In this study, in order to facilitate recording, preservation, and monitoring in the concept of precise search and monitoring, it is possible to achieve high efficiency and secure golden time when precise search is performed by constructing spatial information based on photo rather than image data-based search. Therefore, we intend to propose a spatial information construction technique that reduces the resulting data volume by adjusting the unnecessary spatial information completion rate according to the size of the subject. Through this, the scope of use of drone search missions for large-scale areas is advanced and it is intended to be used as basic data for building a drone operation manual for police searches.
The main idea of this study is to propose a BIM-based automation system drawing up a report of energy conservation plan in the architecture division. In order to obtain a building permit, an energy conservation plan must be prepared for buildings with a total floor area of 500m2 or more under the current law. Currently, it is adopted as a general method to complete a report by obtaining data and drawings necessary for an energy conservation plan through manual work and input them directly into the verification system. This method takes a lot of effort and time in the design phase which ultimately increases the initial cost of the business, including the services of companies specialized in the environmental field. However, in preparation for mandatory BIM work process in the future, it is necessary to introduce BIM-based automatic creation system that has an advantage for shortening the whole process to enable rapid permission of energy-saving designs for buildings. There may be many methods of automation, but this study introduces how to build an application using Dynamo of Revit, in terms of utilizing BIM, and write an energy conservation plan by automatic completion of report through Dynamo and Excel's VBA algorithm, which can save time and cost in preparing the report of energy conservation plan compared with the manual process. Also we have insisted that the digital transformation of architectural process is a necessary for an efficient use of our automation system in the current energy conservation plan workflow.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate high technology adaptive driving controls, such as mini steering wheel-lever system and joystick system, for the people with physical disabilities in the driving simulator. Background: The drivers with severe physical disabilities have problems in operation of the motor vehicle because of reduced muscle strength and limited range of motion. Therefore, if the remote control system with driver-by-wire technology is used for adaptive driving controls for people with physical limitations, the disabled people can improve their quality of life by driving a motor vehicle. Method: We developed the remotely controlled driving simulator with drive-by-wire technology, e.g., mini steering wheel-lever system and joystick system, in order to evaluate driving performance in a safe environment for people with severe physical disabilities. STISim Drive 3 software was used for driving test and the customized Labview program was used in order to control the servomotors and the adaptive driving devices. Thirty subjects participated in the study to evaluate driving performance associated with three different driving controls: conventional driving control, mini steering wheel-lever controls and joystick controls. We analyzed the driving performance in three different courses: straight lane course for acceleration and braking performance, a curved course for steering performance, and intersections for coupled performance. Results: The mini steering wheel-lever system and joystick system developed in this study showed no significant statistical difference (p>0.05) compared to the conventional driving system in the acceleration performance (specified speed travel time, average speed when passing on the right), steering performance (lane departure at the slow curved road, high-speed curved road and the intersection), and braking performance (brake reaction time). However, conventional driving system showed significant statistical difference (p<0.05) compared to the mini steering wheel-lever system or joystick system in the heading angle of the vehicle at the completion point of intersection and the passing speed of the vehicle at left turning. Characteristics of the subjects were found to give a significant effect (p<0.05) on the driving performance, except for the braking reaction time (p>0.05). The subjects with physical disabilities showed a tendency of relatively slow acceleration (p<0.05) at the straight lane course and intersection. The steering performance and braking performance were confirmed that there was no statistically significant difference (p>0.05) according to the characteristics of the subjects. Conclusion: The driving performance with mini steering wheel-lever system and joystick control system showed no significant statistical difference compared to conventional system in the driving simulator. Application: This study can be used to design primary controls with driver-by-wire technology for adaptive vehicle and to improve their community mobility for people with severe physical disabilities.

Recently, the insulaton design standards for reducing the energy use of buildings have been strengthened. Althoug insulation work is the most cost-effective method for reducing the primary energy consumption per unit area of a building, there are no evaluation criteria for insulation performance at the time of construction and completion inspection. The purpose of this study is to provide objective data by establishing a standard for an analysis method and a method for easily experimenting with the exterior wall thermal transmittance of an apartment house using a thermal transmittance measuring device(TESTO 435). For the exterior wall of the test subject, the specific heat per unit area exceeded 20kJ/(m2·K), and the data at the end point suitable for ISO 9869-1 were analyzed by the average method. The measured values of the thermal transmittance for 3 consecutive days converged within +5% of the desing value, and the standard deviation of the thermal transmittance by day decreased in the order of 1-Day > 3-Day > 2-Day. The standard deviation of the thermal transmittance by time period decreased in the order of 00:00~24:00 < 19:00~07:00 < 00:00~07:00. The measured value of the thermal transmittance for the time perion of 00:00 to 07:00 per day almost coincided with an error of -3% to + 2% compare to the desing value.

It is essential to have adequate knowledge of the timing of root resorption of deciduous teeth for diagnosis and treatment planning in pediatric and orthodontic dentistry. Dental development is also influenced by hereditary characteristics, environmental factors, race, sex, endocrine reaction, nutrition, socioeconomic condition and secular factor. The aims of the present study were to determine the mean age of root resorption of deciduous teeth in contemporary Korean children and to compare the mean age of root resorption time of deciduous teeth between early 1990s and early 2000s. The study population was made up of Korean children attending the pediatric dentistry ward of Kyungpook National University Hospital. One thousand thirty seven children's panoramic radiograph (girls: 528 persons, boys: 509 persons) in $1990{\sim}1992$ and one thousand sixty five children's panoramic radiograph (girls: 394 persons, boys: 671 persons) in $2001{\sim}2003$ were examined. This study utilized a cross-sectional design. Due to the problems of imaging in the maxillary region and the mandibular incisor region, the mandibular deciduous canine, the mandibular deciduous first molar and the mandibular deciduous second molar were chosen for examination. The results were as follows. 1. There is a tendency for the teeth to resort earlier in the early 2000s group than the in early 1990s group. At the Res c stage, the difference of the mean age was 0.4 years. 2. At the Res c stage, the order of difference of the mean age from smaller to larger for the girls was the mandibular deciduous canine, the mandibular first deciduous molar, and the mandibular second deciduous molar. On the other hand, for the boys, the order was the mandibular second deciduous molar, the mandibular first deciduous molar, and the mandibular deciduous canine. The difference was larger with aging in girls and smaller with aging in boys. 3. There is a tendency for the teeth to resort earlier in girls in both the early 1990s group and the early 2000s group. The difference of the mean age between girls and boys was 0.3 year. 4. The commencement of root resorption of the mandibular deciduous canine was slower than that of the mandibular first deciduous molar. However, the completion of root resorption of the mandibular deciduous canine is faster than that of the mandibular first deciduous molar. The total elapsed time of root resorption from commencement to completion was shortest in the mandibular deciduous canine. 5. For each of the teeth in the early 1990s and the early 2000s groups, the speed of root resorption was in the later stage faster than in the earlier stage. In order to know about the exact timing of root resorption of deciduous teeth, periodic and longitudinal studies preferably covering the entire period of growth, is required.

The characteristics of the construction project involved various stakeholders' involvement from the planning stage until completion of the object, which caused the uncertainty to increase. Successful construction projects require risk analysis and appropriate responses. Therefore, this study aimed to confirm the influence of risk management factors on the success of river disaster prevention construction in construction projects and the effect of moderating communication between stakeholders involved in the construction process. The Delphi method was used to derive the risk management factors of the construction process. The survey used a snow ball sampling method. For analysis, SPSS Statistic 20 and SmartPLS 2.0 were used. As a result of the study, the impact of risk management factors on project performance was found to be large in the order of time risk, quality risk, cost risk, safety risk, and construction environment risk. In addition, the impact of the communication moderating effect was large in the order of cost risk, quality risk, construction environment risk, time risk, and safety risk. In this study, it was confirmed that communication between stakeholders related to river disaster prevention work has a moderating effect that changes the ranking of impacts on project performance. This shows the importance of communication in the construction process of river disaster prevention works. This study has important significance in that it identifies the importance of risk management factors and communication in river disaster prevention works.
Since areas of pain and dysfunction of musculoskeletal typically suffered by the patients with back disorders spread all over the body, WBIP(GCM Program) for the primary treatment and management is required. The purpose of this study is to analyze if WBIP(GCM Program) based on the hyper/hypomobility pattern of Four Body Types can identify the effective treatment of back disorders and the effect on the postural balanced restoration of the spine and extremities. Non-specific back disorder is still a major reason for sick leave. And moreover, its been reported that there was often recurrence to the patients whose symptom had been diminished. As a WBIP(GCM Program) based on kinematic chain patterns of Four Body Types, this study gave a new information on the effective diagnosis, treatment and management of non-specific back disorders. 337 patients above the twenty-five years old with the non-specific back disorders at the hospital and oriental medical clinics at Kyungnam and Busan areas in South Korea from August 24th, 2000 to Feb 23rd, 2001 have randomly been assigned to four experimental groups such as Whole Body Intervention Program Group, Physical Therapy Group like modality treatments, Acupuncture-Treatment Group, and Placebo Control Group. According to intervention program applied to the each four group for three times per week(twelve times per 4weeks), as the time-series methods, we compared and evaluated the body status of the pretest with that of post treatment completion of four week, three month, and six month, respectively. As the analytical method of measurement, our researchers used the Moire Interferometry Unit and Postural Kit that could measure the postural balance of spine and extremities. The collection of data was performed in the designated hospital and oriental medical clinics. For the analysis of the data, the SPSS 10.0 package program was used. X2-test has been taken in order to compare and analyze characteristics and GPES of the patients in four experimental groups. Repeated Measure ANOVA and Tukey post hoc test has been adopted in order to compare the effects of the balanced restoration of the spine and extremities among four Groups categorized for this study. Statistical significance was accepted at the 0.05 level of confidence The effect of the balanced restoration on the spine and extremities of the patients with non-specific back disorders has been proved in all of the Groups. As for the restoration degree, however, WBIP(GCM Program) Group produced the highest effectiveness in terms of the fact that it had a dense moire in comparison with the other three Groups and that the Moires of both sides had the same level by the time(p<0.01). WBIP(GCM Program) based on four tilting types of scapular and ilium and hyper/hypomobility pattern took a higher effect on the balanced restoration of the spine and extremities through a whole body as well as the treatment of back disorders than the other three Groups which the usual remedy without classification of body type had been applied to.
X-ray structures of pharaonis phoborhodopsin (ppR) show the different direction of the side chain of Arg72 from that of the corresponding residue (Arg82) of bacteriorhodopsin, BR. For BR, this residue is considered to play an important role in the proton pumping. In order to investigate the role of Arg72 in ppR, we constructed Arg72 mutants of R72A, R72K and R72Q, and measured the photocycle and proton pumping activities. The pH-titration curves on the absorption maximum of the mutants were shifted to alkaline in comparison of that of the wild-type. This may imply the increase of pKa of D75, suggesting the presence of the (probably electric) interaction between D75 and Arg72. Rate constants of the M-decay were 3-7 times faster than that of the wild-type, and the time for the completion of the photocycling was also reduced. Using Sn0$_2$ electrode, the rate of transmembrane proton transport was measured upon illumination. The photo-induced proton pumping activities were estimated after the corrections that are the percentages of the associated form of D75 (which has no pumping activity) and the photocycling rates. R72A and R72Q showed the reduced activity while R72K did not reduce the activity.
