In chip plating, several parameters must be taken into consideration. Current density, solution concentration, pH, solution temperature, components volume, chip and media ratio, barrel geometrical shape were most likely found to have an effect to the process yields. The 3 types of barrels utilized in chip plating industry are the conventional rotating barrel. vibrational barrel (vibarrel), and the centrifugal type. Conventional rotating barrel is a close type and is commonly used. The components inside the barrel are circulated by the barrel's rotation at a horizontal axis. Process yield has known to have higher thickness deviation. The vibrational barrel is an open type which offers a wide exposure to electrolyte resulting to a stable thickness deviation. It rotates in a vertical axis coupled with multi-vibration action to facilitate mixed up and easy transportation of components, The centrifugal barrel has its plated work centrifugally compacted against the cathode ring for superior electrical contact with simultaneous rotary motion. This experiment has determined the effect of barrel vibration intensity to the plating thickness distribution. The procedures carried out in the experiment involved the overall plating process., cleaning, rinse, Nickel plating, Tin-Lead plating. Plating time was adjusted to meet the required specification. All other parameters were maintained constant. Two trials were performed to confirm the consistency of the result. The thickness data of the experiment conducted showed that the average mean value obtained from higher vibrational intensity is nearer to the standard mean. The distribution curve shown has a narrower specification limits and it has a reduced variation around the target value, Generally, intensity control in vi-barrel facilitates mixed up and easy transportation of components, However, it is desirable to maintain an optimum vibration intensity to prevent solution intrusion into the chips' internal electrode. A cathodic reaction can occur in the interface of the external and internal electrode. $2HD{\;}+{\;}e{\;}{\rightarrow}20H{\;}+{\;}H_2$ Hydrogen can penetrate into the body and create pressure which can cause cracks. At high intensity, the chip's motion becomes stronger, its contact between each other is delayed and so plating action is being controlled. However, the strong impact created by its collision can damage the external electrode's structure thereby resulting to bad plating condition. 1 lot of chip was divided into two equal partion. Each portion was loaded to the same barrel one after the other. Nickel plating and tin-lead plating was performed in the same station. Portion A maintained the normal barrel vibration intensity and portion B vibration intensity was increased two steps higher. All other parameters, current, solution condition were maintained constant. Generally, plating method find procedures were carried out in a best way to maintained the best plating condition. After plating, samples were taken out from each portion. molded and polished. Plating thickness was investigated for both. To check consistency of results. 2nd trial was done now using different lot of another characteristics.

The new system using a glow discharge atomic emission spectrometer for the direct analysis of solid samples has been developed and characterized. The system was consisted of new glow discharge cell improved previous gas-jet boosted nozzle and radio-frequency power supply. In the case of previous type glow discharge chamber, it had been fitted trace analysis of low alloy steel with low discharge power, because it was to decrease redeposition and increase sample weight loss. But it had a problem that plasma becomes unstale due to increased sample weight loss and redeposition resulting from the high discharge power. Because of being problem of previous glow discharge, it is impossible to analyze using high power. The modified gas-jet boosted glow discharge to solve this problem would improve to be less sample loss rate of modified nozzle than sample loss rate of previous nozzle on the equal discharge condition, and improve to increase stability of plasma. The effect of discharge parameters such as discharge pressure, gas flow rate and power on the sample loss rate, emission intensity has been studied to find optimum discharge conditions. The calibration curves of Fe were obtained with 3 low-alloy samples.
During the period of June, 2005 to May, 2008, 44 host plants infected with powdery mildew were collected in the Jeon-ju and Jang-su districts of Jeonbuk province and in the Jang-sung district of Jeonnam province. The hyperparasites, Ampelomyces were confirmed in 12 plant species. Most of the pycnidium shapes of Ampelomyces were circular or oval shaped, and the sizes were different even within the same host plant, and also the color of pycnidium was ranged from light brown to dark brown. Ampelomyces species were isolated from 4 hosts including Impatiens balsamina L., Cucurbita pepo, Rudbeckia laciniata var. elatier and Youngia sonchifolia, and thus the most appropriate 12 Ampelomyces strains for the current experiment were selected. When analyzing the selected 12 strains' incubational and nutritional characteristics, the malt extract agar was the most appropriate media. When investigating the effect of osmotic pressure on the spore germination, 0.15M NaCl concentration was the optimum germination concentration. When the isolated Ampelomyces sp. was tested in-vitro, it was found to be effective to control in other plant pathogens, isolated Ampelomyces showed no pathogenicity to the plant. strains isolated . studied on rDNA ITS sequence analysis. The rDNA ITS sequence data of Ampelomyces sp. isolate BSLAH16 from Impatiens balsamina L. were analyzed and identified.

A method was investigated to determine the thickness of coating on steel sheet using rf glow discharge atomic emission spectrometer. The RF gas-jet boosted glow discharge has such salient feature as good pleasure stability and high sputtering efficiency that it was possible to determine the thickness of silicon resin film on zinc electroplated steel. The erosion speed variation is dependent on discharge power, gas flow rate and discharge pressure. therefore determine discharge condition to measure the thickness of coating on steels. The fundamental studies have been carried out to investigate an optimum condition for in-depth analysis and composition of zinc coating on steel. In this study, the calibration curve for thickness determination of silicon resin film was found to be linear in the range of $1000{\sim}3500mg/m^2$ film thickness. The developed rf gas-jet boosted glow discharge was applied to the analysis of zinc coating and silicon resin film on steel made by RIST.

Silica in primary system combines with an alkali grammatical particle metal and forms the zeolite layer which is hindering the heat transfer on the surface of the cladding. Zeolite layer becomes the cause of the damage in this way. The problems of the NPP's primary system have been issued steadily by EPRI. Through a series of experiments of the laboratory scale, we confirmed the applicability of NF membrane for silica removal, as silica rejection rate of NF membrane is about $60\;{\sim}\;70\%$ and boron rejection rate is about $10\;{\sim}\;20\%$. We accomplished a site experiment about four NF membranes manufactured by FilmTec and Osmonics Inc. In experiment using 400L of SFP water, when operation pressure is $10kg_{f}/cm^2$, we confirmed that the silica rejection rate of NF90-2540 manufactured by FilmTec Inc. is about $98\%$, boron rejection rate is about $43\%$. The silica rejection rate of NF270-2540 is about $38\%$, boron rejection rate is about $3.5\%$. Afterward, through additional experiments, such as long term characteristic experiments, we are going to design a optimum NF membrane system for silica removal.
Thermal degradation of styrene dimer fraction (SDF, main compound: 47 wt% of 1,3-diphenylpropane), 5~15% of total products produced during decomposition of waste expanded polystyrene (WEPS) was investigated. Reaction condition of $360^{\circ}C$, and 152 kPa to 202 kPa was an optimum for high pressure degradation. Under this operating condition, the yield of oil was 73.8% and the selectivities to Ben, Tol, EB, SM, and AMS were 0.4, 30.9, 15.0, 19.6, and 4.2%, respectively. Non-catalytic fixed bed continuous degradation was conducted at reaction temperatures of $510{\sim}610^{\circ}C$ and contact time ranges of 2~24 min, where the yield was increased by increasing of reaction temperature and contact time. A $Cr_2O_3$ catalyst showed the highest activity and SM yield among acid, base, and redox catalysts. The conversion of 74.6% and the yield of Ben, Tol, EB, SM, and AMS were 0.4, 21.6, 9.7, 17.9, and 3.5%, respectively at $560^{\circ}C$ and contact time of 24 min. It is thought that styrene is converted to EB and other secondary products throughout the formation of diradicals of styrene.
The reduction of $SO_2$ by CO over supported cobalt catalysts was investigated within the temperature range of $350{\sim}550^{\circ}C$, initial $SO_2$ concentration of 1000~10000 ppm, $CO/SO_2$ molar ratio of 1.0~3.0 and space velocity of $5000{\sim}15000h^{-1}$. Several types of supports such as ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$, $TiO_2$ were tested. The $SO_2$ conversion and selectivity to elemental sulfur were investigated using a differential fixed bed reactor at atmospheric pressure. The catalyst prepared by wet impregration of 5 wt % cobalt on ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ showed $SO_2$ conversion higher than 90% and COS yield lower than 6% at temperature above $400^{\circ}C$. The optimum $CO/SO_2$ molar ratio was investigated as 2.0. At higher $CO/SO_2$ molar ratio, the $SO_2$ conversion became higher but the main product was COS. The effect of $SO_2$ concentration and space velocity over $SO_2$ conversion and COS yield was not appreciable in the experimental range. The activated cobalt phase was detected as $CoS_2$ and the $CoS_2$ phase unchanged even after reaction.

Tin doped indium oxide(ITO) and Al doped zinc oxide(ZnO:Al) films, which are widely used as a transparent conductor in optoelectronic devices, were prepared by using the capacitively coupled DC magnetron sputtering method. ITO and ZnO:Al films with the optimum growth conditions showed each resistivity of $1.67{\times}10^{-3}[{\Omega}-cm],\;2.2{\times}10^{-3}[{\Omega}-cm]$ and transmittance of 89.61[%], 90.88[%] in the wavelength range of the visible spectrum. The two types of 5 inch-PDP cells with ZnO:Al and ITO transparent electrodes were made under the same manufacturing conditions. The PDP cell with ZnO:Al film was optimally operated in the mixing gas rate of Ne(base)-Xe(8[%]), and at gas pressure of 400[Torr]. It also shows the average measured brightness of $836[cd/m^2]$ at voltage range of $200{\sim}300$[V]. Luminous efficiency, one of the key parameter for high brightness and low power consumption, ranges from 1.2 to 1.6[lm/W] with increasing frequency of ac power supplier from 10 to 50[Khz]. The brightness and luminous efficiency are lower than those with ITO electrode by about 10[%]. However, these values are considered to be enough for the normal operation of PDP TV.
This work is focussed on the reduction of ethanol separation energy from alcohol fermented broth and categorized into the development of a computer program for the design of the pressurized/depressurized distillation process which has been regarded as one of the energy-reducing models for the conventional distillation process, the optimization of operating conditions of distillation towers by means of the developed program, and the evaluation of the total annual energy cost of pressurized/depressurized distillation columns compared with that of the conventional single distillation columns. The operating pressures are, in case of pressurized/depressurized distillation, 3103/760 mmHg, 3103/450 mmHg, 3103/160 mmHg, and in case of conventional distillation, 760 mmHg. The optimum reflex rations which the sum of the annual energy cost and the annual fixed cost for each process becomes minimum are 3.7475/2.9111 for the operating pressures of 3103/760 mmHg, 3.814/2.9712 for 3103/450 mmHg, 3.0783/2.2400 for 3103/150 mmHg, and 3.8544 for the atmospheric operating pressure. And the annual energy cost of pressurized/depressurized distillation process for the above-mentioned operating pressures is distributed between 42% and 47% of that of conventional distillation process.
This experiment examined the effects of preharvest Ca-chitosan spraying and short-term post-harvest treatment with high $pCO_2$ on the shelf-life of 'Seolhyang' strawberry fruit. Fruit firmness decreased when harvested late in the season and was little affected by Ca-chitosan spray treatments. Short-term treatment with high $pCO_2$ after harvest, however, significantly increased fruit firmness regardless of preharvest treatment. The combined treatment of Ca-chitosan spray and high $pCO_2$ led to an additional increase in shelf-life through delay of skin disorder, fruit decay incidence and firmness loss during simulated marketing. The residual effects of both treatments, however, were reduced when fruit were harvested late in the season. Fruit firmness was more affected by high $pCO_2$ treatment whereas decay and visual quality were affected by preharvest spraying with Ca-chitosan. Although more research is required to determine the optimum concentration of calcium and chitosan, and the optimal spray interval, our results show that the combined treatment of preharvest Ca-chitosan spray and postharvest high $pCO_2$ is effective in improving strawberry fruit shelf-life by increasing firmness and delaying decay.
