신경망을 이용한 최적절삭조건부여 시스템 개발 (Development of an Optimal Cutting Condition Decision System by Neural Network)

  • In most machining companies, operators decide the cutting condition, a pair of spindle speed (5) and table federate (F) by experience and subjective judgment. As cutting conditions are determined by operators' experience and ability, inconsistent cutting conditions are given in same operating conditions. The objective of this study is to develop the cutting condition decision system which utilizes shop data and predicts tool life by neural network and eventually leads to the optimal cutting condition. The production time per piece is considered for an optimization object. We will discuss the process of an optimal cutting condition decision by neural network. By this process, a series of shop data is stored. And neural network is constructed for prediction of tool life and the optimal cutting condition is recommended from a cutting condition decision system using the stored shop data. The results show that the developed system is rational in searching the optimal cutting conditions on job operations.

  • We purpose a decision model to select the optimal facilities for the Decision Making problems with multiple characteristics(nominal-is-best characteristics, larger-is -better characteristics, smaller- is -better characteristics). Using this model, concept of the loss function is used in this comprehensive method of for select the optimal preferred facilities. To solve the issue on the optimal preferred facilities for multiple characteristics, this study propose the loss function with cross-product terms among the characteristics and derived range of the coefficients of the terms.

  • This paper presents a fuzzy-goal programming(FGP) approach for Bi-Level Linear Multiple Objective Decision Making(BLL-MODM) problem in a large hierarchical decision making and planning organization. The proposed approach combines the attractive features of both fuzzy set theory and goal programming(GP) for MODM problem. The GP problem has been developed by fixing the weights and aspiration levels for generating pareto-optimal(satisfactory) solution at each level for BLL-MODM problem. The higher level decision maker(HLDM) provides the preferred values of decision vector under his control and bounds of his objective function to direct the lower level decision maker(LLDM) to search for his solution in the right direction. Illustrative numerical example is provided to demonstrate the proposed approach.

Decision Making on Bus Splitting Locations Using a Modified Fault Current Constrained Optimal Power Flow (FCC-OPF)

  • This paper presents a method of decision on where bus splitting is needed to reduce fault current level of power systems and to satisfy the fault current constraints. The method employs a modified fault current constrained optimal power flow (FCC-OPF) with X variables for the candidate locations of splitting and for decision making on whether to split or not, it adopts soft-discretization by augmenting inversed U-shaped penalty terms. Also, this paper discusses the procedure on the adequate selection of bus splitting locations based on the results of the modified FCC-OPF, to reduce the total number of the actions taken.

학습 평가를 위한 최적의 SPRT 판정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Judgement of Optimal SPRT for Learning Estimation)

  • 컴퓨터 기반 교육의 잠재적인 이점은 개별화 교습이다. 결국 수준별 교육과정의 운영과 열린 교육의 실천을 위하여 어떻게 학습자 개개인에 대해서 신속하고 정확하게 평가할 수 있는가에 대한 문제가 제기된다. 본 연구에서는 평가를 위한 문항 수가 두드러지게 감소하면서 반면에 합격과 불합격 판정이 비교적 정확한 기존의 SPRT(Sequential Probability Ratio Testing) 판정 방법에 대한 문제점을 보완하여 보다 최적의 판정을 내릴 수 있는 방안을 시뮬레이션 연구를 통하여 제안한다. 이를 위하여 실제 측정에 의해서 얻어진 피험자 자료를 활용하여 SPRT판정의 정확도 검증을 위한 시뮬레이션과 최적의 SPRT판정을 위한 초기 설정치와 다단계 (Multilevel) SPRT 모형 및 판정 기준을 제시하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 타당성을 알아본다.

  • The critical problem in dealing with multiple characteristics is how to compromise the conflict among the selected levels of the design parameters for each individual characteristic. In this study, First, Methodology using SN ratio optimized by univariate technique is proposed and a parameter design procedure to achieve the optimal compromise among several different response variables is developed. Second, to solve the issue on the optimal design for multiple quality characteristics, this study modelled the expected loss function with cross-product terms among the characteristics and derived range of the coefficients of the terms. The model will be used to determine the global optimal design parameters where there exists the conflict among the characteristics, which shows difference in optimal design parameters for the individual characteristics. Third, this paper propose a decision model to incorporates the values assigned by a group of experts on different factors in weighting decision of characteristic. Using this model, SN ratio of taguchi method for each of subjective factors as well as values of weights are used in this comprehensive method for weighting decision of characteristic.

  • In this study, a decision support system (DSS) was developed to calculate optimal wastetreatment cost, treatment level and treatment quantity of various pollutants for applying for in rural basin. The DSS includes a gegraphic informatino system (GIS), relational database system (RDBS), water quality models(Loading function , WASP5), watershed pollution load calculation module(SPLC), optimal water quality management plan to satisfy the water quality regulations. The system can be modified by user to trace the optimal condition for decision. The effort was conducted to apply the developed DSS to select the for optimal water quality management plan small rural basin called Kwanri Stream.

A Novel Region Decision Method with Mesh Adaptive Direct Search Applied to Optimal FEA-Based Design of Interior PM Generator

  • Optimizing the design of large-scale electric machines based on nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) requires longer computation time than other applications of FEA, mainly due to the huge size of the machines. This paper addresses a new region decision method (RDM) with mesh adaptive direct search (MADS) for the optimal design of wind generators in order to reduce the computation time. The validity of the proposed algorithm is evaluated using Rastrigin and Goldstein-Price benchmark function. Moreover, the algorithm is employed for the optimal design of a 5.6MW interior permanent magnet synchronous generator to minimize the torque ripple. Additionally, mechanical stress analysis as well as electromagnetic field analysis have been implemented to prevent breakdown caused by large centrifugal forces of the modified design.

  • Decision analysis has becomes an important technique for decision making in the face of uncertainty. It is characterized by enumerating all the available courses of action, identifying the payoffs for all possible outcomes, and quantifying the subjective probabilities for the all possible random events. When the data are available, decision analysis becomes a powerful tool for determining an optimal course of action. We study the multi-attribute decision making in a compensatory models. In this paper, we use the entropy methods in weights calculating. For the purpose of making optimal decision, the data of five different car models are used. For computing, we used Visual Numerica Version 1.0 software package.

열화시스템의 수리를 위한 베이지안 의사결정 모형의 개발 (A Bayesian Decision Model for a Deteriorating Repairable System)

  • This paper presents the development of a decision model to examine the optimal repair action for a deteriorating system. In order to make a reasonable decision, it is necessary to perform an analysis of the uncertainties embedded in deterioration and to evaluate the repair actions based on the expected future cost. Focusing on the power law failure model, the uncertainties related to deterioration are analyzed based on the Bayesian approach. In addition, we develop a decision model for the optimal repair action by applying a repair cost function. A case study is given to illustrate a decision-making process by analyzing the loss incurred due to deterioration.
