The world at the end of the $20^{th}$ Century has become "blue" Indeed, this past decade has witnessed a "blue rush" towards the development of violet-blue-green light emitting diodes (LEDs) and laser diodes (LDs) based on wide bandgap III-Nitride semiconductors. And the hard work has culminated with, first, the demonstration of commercial high brightness blue and green LEDs and of commercial violet LDs, at the very end of this decade. Thanks to their extraordinary properties, these semiconductor materials have generated a plethora of activity in semiconductor science and technology. Novel approaches are explored daily to improve the current optoelectronics state-of-the-art. Such improvements will extend the usage and the efficiency of new light sources (e.g. white LEDs), support the rising information technology age (e.g. high density optical data storage), and enhance the environmental awareness capabilities of humans (ultraviolet and visible photon detectors and sensors). Such opportunities and many others will be reviewed in this presentation.

본 연구는 개인이 지닌 인지편향이 지각된 위험 및 창업기회평가와 어떤 연관성이 있는지를 알아보고, 창업집단에 따라 인지편향과 창업효능감이 창업기회를 다르게 평가하는지를 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 대학생을 위한 창업교육의 개선점을 찾고, 현직의 창업가가 행하는 의사결정과정에서 어떤 문제점이 있으며 개선 가능성이 있는지를 제시하고자 한다. 대학생과 창업가를 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 총 363명의 설문 데이터를 기반으로 구조방정식모형을 통해 실증하였다. 연구분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인지편향과 지각된 위험은 유의적인 부의 관계를 가지며, 구체적으로 인지편향 중 과잉자신감과 통제착각은 지각된 위험과 부(-)의 유의적 관계를 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째로, 인지편향은 기회평가와 유의한 정(+)의 관계가 있으며 구체적으로 통제착각과 현상유지편향과 유의한 정(+)의 관계를 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 지각된 위험은 기회평가와 유의한 부(-)의 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대학생과 창업가집단을 나누어 살펴본 창업집단간의 차이를 살펴보면 창업효능감이 지각된 위험과 기회평가 사이에서 조절효과를 하고 있다는 것을 대학생집단에서는 확인할 수 있으나, 창업가집단에서는 유의미한 결과를 발견하지 못했다. 또한 대학생집단과 창업가집단은 다른 인지편향을 가지고 있으며, 지각된 위험을 매개로 창업기회평가에 다르게 관계가 있음을 실증하였다. 불확실한 상황에서 판단을 해야 하는 예비 창업가인 대학생과 기존 창업가에게는 시간적인 압박, 또는 스트레스를 원인으로 발생하는 서로 다른 인지편향이 존재하며, 이런 편향의 존재를 인정하고 스스로 자신의 판단을 개선하는 노력을 해야 한다는 점을 확인하였다. 대학생은 높은 창업효능감을 기반으로 새로운 기회에 대한 긍정적인 시각을 지닐 수 있지만, 창업교육을 통해 창업이 가지고 있는 본질적인 위험에 대한 철저한 지각과 함께 직접적인 창업경험에 존재하는 인지편향을 충분히 이해한다면 과거보다 좋은 기회평가를 하게 될 수 있다는 점이다. 본 연구는 대학생과 창업가를 통합하여 실증하였다는 점과 제한된 방식의 임의추출법에 의해 설문응답자를 선정하였다는 점에서 한계를 가진다. 두 번째로 선행연구에서 사용한 측정도구를 번역하여 사용하였으며, 언어 문제로 측정도구의 명확한 의미가 전달되지 않을 수도 있다. 연구의 정확성을 위해 보다 정밀한 척도를 구성할 필요가 있을 것이다.

This research developed self-directed teaming program for students who learn mathematics to improve their abilities for learning mathematics. A small-group cooperative teaming model was based on the self-directed loaming program which this research developed. The main target of this program was the second grade students of middle school. The program was consisted with three developing parts. The part 1 of program developing was consisted with analyzing and reconstructing mathematics curriculum, devising small-group cooperative learning program, and structuring teaching and teaming plans. The part 2 included the management of small-group cooperative Loaming and how to use the materials which this research developed. The part 3 provided various cooperative learning opportunities for students to improve their abilities for loaming mathematics.

Recently, the world is facing many difficulties in all areas as a result of price instability and the Russian-Ukraine war. Personally, as many jobs disappear, household income is declining sharply. In particular, the possibility of such bankruptcies is relatively increasing in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and it is highly likely that this will continue for the time being. In this situation, countries around the world are continuously making efforts to improve corporate productivity. In Korea, the smart factory support project implemented by the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Team has been continuously promoted for the past several years, providing opportunities for SMEs in need to improve productivity and change the corporate structure. In this study, the current status of smart factory promotion at home and abroad was examined, and problems and improvement measures were studied for the insufficient efficiency in the smart factory promotion system implemented in Korea.

Background : Strategic planning is an organizationwide or systemwide, ongoing look into the future usually of 2~3 years, based on objective analysis of the current environment and trends, but it can incorporate both short-term and long-term goals. The strategic planning process includes external analysis, internal analysis, issue analysis, development of mission, vision and values, and lastly development of organizational goals and objectives. As a part of the strategic quality planning process, certain service lines, important organizationwide functions, or key processes supporting these functions can be prioritized to expedite and roll out certain strategic goals. This is called strategic quality initiatives. Methods : We organized a quality improvement team, a subgroup of 21st century vision planning corps of our medical center, and pursued QI activities for improvement of healthcare environment, particularly in the admission setting. We developed a strategic quality initiative based on the results of patient satisfaction surveys, and carried out functions of self-directed work team. Results : The strategic goal was to be the benchmark for peer group hospitals in Korea for providing cost-effective best-practice. The QI team included 3 medical doctors, 1 nurse, 1 social worker, and 1 QI consultant as well as many operational members to support services and quality initiatives met every Tuesday for 18 weeks. Outcome objectives were to improve patient satisfaction score. The issues included in the objectives were comfort, temperature, noise, cleanliness of the admission wards, quality and education of patient meals, matters regarding the admission process, and an appurtenant facility such as restaurant or convenience store. Every issue was discussed and recommendations, conclusions and opportunities were implemented. Conclusions : By developing a strategic quality initiative as a part of the strategic quality planning process, and pursuing a self-directed work team, certain sen/ice lines, important organizationwide functions, or key processes supporting these functions can be improved effectively within a short period. Strategic quality initiatives serve to support, or roll out, certain strategic goals that are relevant to performance improvement and development of specific measurable outcome objectives, and associated performance measure for each initiative. Each strategic quality initiative should include a statement of intent outcome objectives, and performance measures. We will come back with follow up of the strategic quality initiative, for improvement of healthcare environment, and results of patient satisfaction re-survey.

This paper presents a Rotem's methodology for the establishment of train operation plan in Railway system. Train operation plan is the key prior plan to proceed the design of the civil and E&M relevant subsystem. But, due to the limitation of the environmental and project condition, common consensus to the key factors which make up the operation plan have not been accomplished. So, as a result of this comparative review for the general approaching method of train operation plan and application status of the major key factors being performed by Rotem, we will get the opportunities to improve the accuracy of the train operation plan.

Traceability has been held as an important factor in testing activities as well as model-driven development. Vertical traceability affords us opportunities to improve manageability from models and test cases to a code in testing and debugging phase. This paper represents a vertical test method which connects a system test level and an integration test level in testing stage by using UML. An experiment how traceability works to effectively focus on error spots has been included by using concrete examples of tracing from models to the code.

The concept of six sigma was introduced at and popularized by Motorola in its quest to reduce defects of manufactured electronics products. When used as a metric, six sigma technically means having no more than 3.4 defects per million opportunities in any process, product, or service. More important than the technical definition is the concept of six sigma as a disciplined, quantitative approach for improvement of defined metrics in manufacturing, service, or financial processes. This approach derives the overall process of selecting the right projects based on their potential to improve performance metrics and selecting and training the right people to get the business results.

Biometrics are best defined as measurable physiological and behavioral characteristics that can be utilized to verify the identity of an individual. Biometric technologies will continue to improve, becoming even more accurate and reliable as technology evolves. In this paper, we review the state of the hand vascular patterns identification technology and analyse the opportunities and threats of the technology in the markets.
