Experiential education is a core curriculum of 6-year pharmacy education. Practicing pharmacists lie at the heart of experiential education serving as preceptors for undergraduate pharmacy students during experiential education. Preceptors are, however, confronted with a challenge of caring for patients and teaching students at the same time in a time-constrained environment. To improve the effectiveness and outcomes of experiential education, practicing pharmacists are required to demonstrate educational competence. Even small teaching moments can provide students with valuable learning opportunities that they could not have from on their own. Thus, it is vital to provide education and training for preceptors to advance their teaching skills. This article will describe practical and effective teaching skills that preceptors could adopt in the experiential education for pharmacy students. It is important that preceptors should use different teaching skills for different learners, according to their level of experience and knowledge, learning styles and needs, as well as the type of the practice. Therefore, possessing diverse teaching skills provides flexibility to adapt teaching to each student's learning levels and needs, and to the charateristics of the practice environment. Preceptors' level of confidence and comfort in using teaching skills can be enhanced through continuous practice and training, which consequently leads to the improved effectiveness of experiential education and student's satisfaction with the education.
The purpose of this study was to explore the situations of farm stay and visit's perceptions in rural Korea. The data were collected by questionnaire and case study, and obtained from 104 visitors, 104 host farmers, 104 village people in twenty two rural villages from September 20, 2002 to November 21, 2002 and analyzed by SPSS WIN 10. The statistical method was crosstabulation and chi-square. The major findings of this study were as follows; First, the priorities of government policy for farm stay were to build the physical infrastructure such as village road and parking lot, to help farmers make relations with urban people, and to provide the learning opportunities for their business. Second, the main barriers for farm stay were the deficit for improving their facilities. And the income within their farm stay has been low at government policy village. Third, most of host farmers liked to make relations with their village people. The priorities of their relations were to improve natural and social environment of their villages, to develop the special brands, and to manage village tourism programs.
The aim of this study was to investigate school dieticians' awareness of the necessity for nutritional education and job satisfaction via qualitative research. For this purpose, in-depth interviews were carried out with 10 school dieticians. Results revealed that all participants said that schools urgently need nutritional education, and dietary attitude and unbalanced eating habits were the most urgent matters to be addressed. They made various suggestions related to revitalization of nutritional education: turning dieticians into nutritional educators, improving awareness of teachers and parents, receiving training on appropriate teaching methods, and so on. In response to their tasks, they considered bargaining with vendors and examination foods as the most burdensome tasks. In response to questions about how participants were treated in their workplaces, all participants reported low job satisfaction due to excessive work, lack of promotion opportunities, and low salary. To improve this, participants recommended creating a task manual, strengthening their role as managers, increasing their salary, and so on. Therefore, institutional support is necessary for dieticians to efficiently handle their excessive workload. In addition, an educational environment where dieticians can effectively carry out nutritional education needs to be created.
The purposes of this study are to investigate the living environments, focused on economic and housing environments, of the elderly households in Chungbuk and to provide for the suggestions from the perspective of the well-being of the elderly. The results are as follows: for the economic environment, 70% of the elderly households receive the economic help from children, but the amount of the help is not much. Less than 20% of the households receive the pension and public assistance. Most elderly households had more assets than debt. The households tend to spend more for the necessties than for the non-necessities. The higher the income, the more the assets and the higher the consumption expenditures the higher is the life satisfaction. Therefore it is necessary to provide the elderly with opportunities to increase their income. For the housing environment, most elderly live in their own detached house with average size of 23 pyung. And there is 1.6 households per house. The condition of housing facilities is poor. The elderly prefer staying in the same place to moving, and invest little for their housing even though being able to afford to do so. The housing satisfaction, which is significantly influenced by the ownership the size the quality change in moving and the housing facilities, is correlated with the satisfaction of their condition as elderly households and their living satisfaction. Therefore, thoughtful policy is required to improve the standard of housing condition for the elderly households.
The management strategies of each company has been changed fundamentally owing to the emergence of digital economics by using internet. Therefore the efficient management of global e-port causes the main issues not only effect the survival and growth of ports but also exert new opportunities and fatal threats on them. Under the circumstances of these change, the Kwangyang port have to introduce e-biz for the purpose of increasing the level of their competition. The focus of this article is to suggest some strategies on the implementation of Kwangyang Global e-port in Korea. To analyse the e-port realities, I first reviewed the trends of e-marketing and e-biz. I chose and analysed website of four ports like Hongkong, Singapore, Antwerp and Hamburg as successful global e-port models. This article is focused to suggest the theoretical background by analysing the strategic points of Kwangyang global e-port which are divided in 6C: Contents, Communities, Connection, Commerce, Communication and Customization. This paper analyses many problems of Gwangyang port and presents various develpment ways to activate Gwangyang port. In order to be a global e-port, first of all Gwangyang port must improve global web-site by 6C. And also Gwangyang port have to constitute logistics hub site, create infrastructure needed to run electronic business more easily over the internet, establish nationwide network of industries, build up marine and port logistics information system.
In this study, we analyzed professors' performance of teaching in college of science and engineering from the perspective of the CHAT. Two professors volunteered to participate in this study. Their syllabi were collected before the lectures, and their lectures were observed and videotaped. Semi-structured interviews were conducted before and after their lectures. The CHAT components were classified into 'subjects', 'objects', 'rules', 'communities', 'division of labor', and 'tools'. We extracted the content of six CHAT components from the data and constructed the analysis framework based on the extracted contents. The analyses of the results revealed that both professors had difficulties due to the contradictions among the components of subject, object, rules, and community in the activity system. Both professors used various strategies to relieve the contradiction related to students' ability, such as inviting students to participate in their lecture. However the extent of providing opportunities to students to participate was different between two professors. Meanwhile, both professors preferred to continue their own strategies, because they observed positive changes in students' learning. In other words, the success experiences of two professors influenced their performances of teaching. We discussed some suggestions to improve the quality of the lecture in the college of science and engineering.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine person-centered care, nursing professionalism, the nursing work environment, and empathy capacity among hospice ward nurses and to identify the factors affecting person-centered care. Methods: Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire completed by 120 nurses at 30 inpatient hospice institutions in South Korea from August 24, 2020 to September 8, 2020. The independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation analysis were conducted using SPSS version 26.0. Results: The scores were 3.76±0.45 for person-centered care, 3.58±0.47 for nursing professionalism, 3.24±0.57 for the nursing work environment, and 4.00±0.46 for empathy capacity. There were positive correlations between the variables. Factors that influenced the person-centered care of hospice nurses were being a manager (β=0.20, P=0.002), high nursing professionalism (β=0.20, P=0.012), a better nursing work environment (β=0.15, P=0.033), and high empathy capacity (β=0.51, P<0.001). The explanatory power was 65.3%. Conclusion: To reinforce the person-centered care competency of hospice nurses, it is necessary to improve nursing professionalism, the nursing work environment, and empathy competency. Opportunities for nurses to practice independently must be expanded for nurses to develop nursing professionalism. Sufficient nursing personnel and material resources must be provided to nurses to cultivate a positive work environment. Empathy should be improved by implementing integrated education programs that include nursing practice situations.

People have transferred their business model from traditional commerce to e-commerce in recent decades. Both shopping and payment can be completed through the Internet and bring convenience to consumers and business opportunities to industry. These trade techniques are mostly set up based on the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL provides the security for transaction information and is easy to set up, which makes it is widely accepted by individuals. Although attackers cannot obtain the real content even when the transferred information is intercepted, still there is risk for online trade. For example, it is impossible to prevent credit card information from being stolen by virtual merchant. Therefore, we propose a new mechanism to solve such security problem. We make use of the disposable dynamic security code (DSC) to replace traditional card security code. So even attackers get DSC for that round of transaction, they cannot use it for the next time. Besides, we apply visual secret sharing techniques to transfer the DSC, so that interceptors cannot retrieve the real DSC even for one round of trade. This way, we can improve security of credit card transaction and reliability of online business. The experiments results validate the applicability and efficiency of the proposed mechanism.
The last decade has witnessed great improvements in power semiconductor devices thanks to the advanced design and process, which have made it possible to significantly improve the electrical performances of electronic systems while simultaneously reducing their site, weight and perhaps most importantly reducing their cost. Among the power semiconductor devices, IGBT will be a key semiconductor component for power industry since it has a huge potential to cover large areas of power electronics from small home appliances to heavy industries. Currently, only a few limited power semiconductor manufacturers supply most of the industrial consumptions of power IGBT and its modules. Therefore, a large portion of technology in the power industry is dependent on other advanced countries. In this regard, to independently build power IGBT devices and the relevant power module technology, Korean government initiated a new 5-year project 'Power IT,' which also aimed at booming the business of the power semiconductor and the allied industries. With the success of this power IT project, it is expected that the power semiconductor technology will be a basis to foster the high power semiconductor industry and moreover, there will be more innovative developments in the Korea region and globally Also, forming the channel between the customers and suppliers, it is possible to effectively develop the customized power products, which could strengthen the competitiveness of Korean power industry. Furthermore, the power industry including semiconductor manufacturers will be technologically self-supporting and be able to obtain good business opportunities, and eventually increase the share in the growing power semiconductor market, which could be positioned as a major industry in Korea.
The purpose of this study was to measure tourists' preference for alternative restaurants with different combinations of attribute levels: grown area logo, origin description, traditional food, fusion food, national food, and price. A total of 210 questionnaires were completed. A conjoint experimental method was used to develop hypothetical restaurants, and an ordinal probit model was used to measure the effects of the attribute levels on tourists' preference. The ordinal probit model analysis results for the data indicated an excellent model fit. The effects of the attribute levels on tourists' preferences were statistically significant. As expected, estimates of the marginal willingness to pay were statistically significant Moreover, the tourists were more willing to pay for grown area logo as compared to the other attribute levels. The tourists also considered the grown area logo as a very important attribute. Withe regard to developing and testing conjoint models in the design of choice experiments involving multifactor alternatives, this study may approach a deeper understanding of the conjoint experiment. Greater understanding of the conjoint experiment can improve the managerial diagnoses of the problems as well as the opportunities for different marketing strategies including local branding programs and menu development and marketing communications.
