컴퓨터 비젼을 이용한 선박 교통량 측정 및 항적 평가 (The Vessels Traffic Measurement and Real-time Track Assessment using Computer Vision)

  • 컴퓨터 비젼을 이용한 항행선박의 항적을 계산하고 교통량을 측정하는 방법은 해양사고의 예방관점에서 사고발생 가능성 여부를 예측해 볼 수 있는 유용한 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 비젼을 이용하여 영상축소, 미분연산자, 최대 최소값 등을 이용하여 선박을 인식한 후 실세계 상에서의 좌표 값을 계산하여 실시간 항적을 전자 해도에 표시함으로서 해상 구조물과의 충돌여부를 직접 육안으로 확인 할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 알고리즘은 영역 정보를 기반으로 개발되었기 때문에 점 정보에 의존하고 있는 기존 레이더 시스템의 단점을 보완하는 장점을 지니고 있다.

  • The Citarum River Basin is the biggest river basin in West Java Province, Indonesia and it plays strategic roles in providing water for irrigation, domestic and industrial uses, and power generation, besides controlling the flood during rainy season. Flowing through seven major cities makes the river flow and water demand are vulnerable to land use change around the river. The present water resources management has involved the regulator, operator, and users in deciding an appropriate water management plan for the entire basin. The plan includes an operation plan for three reservoirs, construction or maintenance of the river channel, and water allocation for all users along the river. Following this plan, a smaller operation group will execute and evaluates the plan based on the actual flow condition. Recently, a deforestation, environment degradation, river sedimentation, a rapid growth of population and industry, also public health become new issues that should be considered in water basin planning. Facing these arising issues, a new development program named ICWRMIP was established to advance the existing management system. This program includes actions to strengthen institutional collaboration, do the restoration and conservation of the river environment, improve water quality and public health, also advance the water allocation system. At present, the water allocation plan is created annually based on a forecasted flow data and water usage prediction report. Sometimes this method causes a difficulty for the operator when the actual flow condition is not the same as the prediction. Improving existing system, a lot of water allocation studies, including a development of the database and water allocation simulation model have been placed to help stakeholders decide the suitable planning schemes. In the future, this study also tries to contribute in advancing water allocation planning by creating an optimization model which ease stakeholders discover a suitable water allocation plan for individual users.

  • 우리나라에서는 해상교통관제분야에 4차산업기술 중 클라우드, AI 기술을 접목한 클라우드 해상교통관제시스템이 개발중에 있으며, 기존의 해상교통관제시스템(VTS)과는 차별화된 기술과 운영프로그램이 적용되어, 현재 부산항 VTS에 시범센터의 구축이 진행 중이다. 신개념의 클라우드 VTS를 운용하게된 운영자와 유지보수 담당자등의 종사자들의 역할이 새롭게 정의될 필요가 있으며, 클라우드 VTS의 원할한 운영을 위한 신규 교육과정개발이 요구되는 시점이다. 따라서, 동 연구에서는 클라우드 VTS의 개발내용을 소개하고, 안전한 운영을 보장할 수 있는 클라우드 VTS 운영자 및 유지보수 담당자를 대상으로 하는 교육시행 방안에 관한 연구를 수행하였다.

심층신경망을 이용한 어선의 운동응답 추정 (Motion Response Estimation of Fishing Boats Using Deep Neural Networks)

  • 최근에 선박을 안전하게 설계 및 운항하기 위해 인공지능으로 운동성능을 예측하는 연구가 늘고 있다. 하지만 일반적인 선박에 비해 소형 어선에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 소형 어선의 운동성능 계산에 필수적인 운동응답을 심층신경망으로 추정하는 모델을 제안한다. 15척의 소형 어선에 대하여 유체동역학 해석을 수행하였으며 이를 통해 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 환경 조건과 주요 제원을 입력 데이터로, 단위 파고에 대한 운동응답(Response Amplitude Operator)을 출력 데이터로 설정하였다. 훈련된 심층신경망 모델을 통해 예측된 운동응답은 유체동역학 해석 결과와 유사한 경향을 보이며 고주파 성분을 가진 운동응답 함수를 낮은 오차로 근사하는 결과를 보여준다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 어선의 선형 특성 고려한 심층신경망 모델로 확장하여 연구 결과의 활용도를 넓히고자 한다.

노출감시체계 구축을 위한 작업환경측정 정보 표준화 (Standardization of work environment measurement information for constructing exposure surveillance system)

  • Objectives: The goal of this study is to standardize industry, process, and job within work environment measurement information. Methods: We selected 180 work environment measurement reports on 30 industries from a database monitored from 2014 to 2016 by the Korea Industrial Health Association. Ten industrial hygienists, each with over five years of experience in measurement, conducted a primary standardization of 180 reports. Two professional industrial hygienists with more than 20 years of experience each reviewed and revised the results of the primary standardization. We also examined the validity on the usefulness of the standardized database by the two industrial hygienists. Results: The final standardization results were classified into eight major categories, 23 sub-major categories, 39 minor categories, 53 unit categories and 70 sub-unit categories in the Korean Standard Industrial Classification (KSIC) 10th revision. A total of 161 processes were standardized, and there were 148 processes with K2B codes. Standard job was coded into 13 job groups including operator, automobile maintenance, nurse, maintenance, manager, excavating machine operator, forklift driver, radiologist, clinical pathologist, signer, researcher, kitchen assistant, and concrete reinforcement ironworker. Conclusions: Although the standardized information in this study may be only a part of the total information, it can be useful for improvement of the K2B system. Additional research is needed for an ongoing clean-up of data in the K2B and re-calibration and reclassification of standard processes until the future national exposure monitoring system is fully established.

경안천 유역 소규모 오수처리시설의 처리특성 및 효율개선방안 (Performance Characteristics and Improvement Suggestion of Individual Sewage Treatment in Kyangan Watershed)

  • It has been achieved 109.1 kg/d of BOD reduction that is equivalent to the amount of BOD loading discharged from 21,880 persons and dramatic decrease of the fallout ratio against water quality of effluent, from 42% to 9%, through technical support on ISTPs to be applied by the ISMSGA at the upper area of Geongan river in Yong-In city. It was clearly revealed that the most efficient configuration for ISTP was a series of anaerobic tank, equalization basin, aerobic tank, sedimentation tank, and then effluent tank. Also, the major causes on the fallout ratio of ISTP resulted in the lack of management (67.5%) and imperfect facilities (32.5%). Then, when compared the quantity of water supply with the design capacity of ISTP, the design capacity was estimated as 1.8 or 2.4 folds larger than the real quantity of water supply so that it is essential to punctually consider the key factors such as an estimation methods, the specificity of commission operator and construction by high systematic technologies to improve the water quality for the future.

조선환경스트레스 모델을 이용한 편도항로 만곡부에서의 선박조종 난이도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Ship-handling Difficulty in Bend Channels)

  • 해상교통시스템은 선박, 조선자, 선박과 조선자를 둘러싼 환경으로 구성되어 있다. 항행환경은 조선환경, 교통환경, 정보사회환경으로 분류하며, 항로설계는 조선환경의 일부를 설정하는 것이다. 본 연구는 항만설비 중 항로설계기준의 적정성을 확인하기 위하여 조선자의 입장에서 직선항로와 항로만곡부에서의 조선부담감을 정량적으로 평가한 것이다. 환경스트레스모델을 이용하여 대상항로에서 항로폭, 선박전장, 선속 등의 요소를 고려하여 선박조종 난이도를 평가하고, 그 상관관계를 구하였으며 조선부담의 경감방안을 제시하였다.

Optimization of Several Environmental Factors to Human Performance by Using Taguchi Method

  • The objective of this study is to determine the dominance effects of environmental factors such as Illuminance, humidity and Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) on the operators' productivity at Malaysian electronic industry. A case study was carried out at an electronic components assembly factory. The environmental factors examined were the Illuminance (lux), humidity and WBGT of the surrounding workstation area. Two sets of representative data including the illuminance, humidity and WBGT level and production rate were collected during the study. The production rate data were collected through observations and survey questionnaires while the illuminance level was measured using photometer model RS 180-7133, the humidity and WBGT level were measured by using Quest Temp apparatus and humidity. Taguchi Method was utilized to find the sequence of dominant factors that contributed to the productivity of operator at that specified production workstation. The study reveals that the dominant factor contributed to the productivity was WBGT, followed by illuminance and humidity.

Force Display Based on Simultaneous Actuation of Motors and Brakes

  • In the virtual environment, force feedback to the human operator makes virtual experiences more realistic. However, the force feedback using active actuators such as motors can make the system active and sometimes unstable. To ensure the safe operation and enhance the haptic feeling, stability should be guaranteed. Both motors and brakes are commonly used for haptic device. A brake can generate a torque only against its rotation, but it is intrinsically stable. Consequently, motors and brakes are complementing each other. In this research, a two degree-of-freedom (DOF) haptic device equipped with both motors and brakes has been developed to provide better haptic effects. Each DOF is actuated by a pair of motor and brake. Modeling of the environment and the control method are needed to utilize both actuators. For various haptic effects, contact with the virtual wall and representation of friction effect are extensively investigated in this paper. It is shown that the hybrid haptic system is more suited to some applications than the motor-based active haptic system.

  • In this paper, it was proposed a new technology to improve the performance of the remote control in virtual reality applications. The operator must know the information of surroundings of the robot, collision possibility of the equipment, and force feedback of the manipulator. The time delay problem occurs in the tele-operating and it causes vibration and expressive power of the manipulator owing to bidirectional force feedback. We presented a new control method to control of the teleoperating system based on serial bus. The reliability is evaluated by simulation.
