흉부 대동맥류의 외과적 치료외과적 접근 및 술후 문제점 (Surgical Treatment of Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm - Surgical Approach and Perioperative Problems -)

  • 12 Patients with thoracic aortic aneurysm were operated between May 1985 to Sept. 1987 at the our department, Hanyang University Hospital. We retrospectively evaluated the surgical results and considered diagnosis, surgical approach and perioperative problems of thoracic aortic aneurysm. There are 9 males and 3 females in the patients. The age ranged from 23 to 61 years with the mean age at 40.6 years. The cause of the aneurysm was atherosclerosis in 5, Marfan`s syndrome in 4, syphilis In 1, trauma in 1 and annuloaortic ectasia in 1 case. According to DeBakey`s classification, Type I was 1 case, Type II was 5 cases and Type III was 6 cases. Among 6 patients with ascending aortic aneurysm, Bentall`s operation in 4 cases and ascending aorta reconstruction using to Dacron Tube Graft in 2 cases were performed successfully. 6 cases with descending aortic aneurysm were managed by prosthetic graft replacement. Chylothorax was observed in 1 patient and postoperative hemorrhage necessitating reopening of the chest occurred in 4 of operative survivors. There were 2 hospital deaths; one patient was dead during the operation and one patient was dead during the post-operative course due to low cardiac output syndrome

  • Raw starch can be effectively saccharified in an enzyme reaction system containing sttrition-milling media. In order to develop an effcient attrition-coupled bioreactor(bioattritor), a rotating drum type bioattitor was construced, and its optimal operation conditions and power consumptions were evaluated. The optimal conditions for 3l bioattritor were 4 baffled, baffle size of 1:0.05 (the ratio of drum diameter to baffle), drum rotation speed of 100 rpm, and 1.33g of 3 mm glass bead/g of raw corn starch.

  • The decrease of summer peak electric load of our country is very important. The government is arranging a lot of support policies and statutes. etc. to decrease of peak electric load. And ice storage system is known as one of the alternatives. The purpose of this study is to collect basic data for operating characteristics to plan the most suitable operation of capsule-type ice storage system. The storaging tank is designed to take charge 40% of total cooling load in building, In operation condition the storage tank took charge 50%. Coefficient Of Performance of daily screw refrigerator is around 4.

  • We obtain means and variances of max {X, Y} and min {X, Y} in the underlying Morgenstern type bivariate uniform variables X and Y with same scale parameters and different scale parameters respectively. And we obtain the conditional expectations in the underlying Morgenstern type bivariate uniform variables. Here, we shall consider the conditional expectations to know the dependence of one variable on the other variable and we consider the behaviors of means and variances of max {X, Y} and min {X, Y} with respect to changes in means, variances, and the correlation coeffcient of the underlying Morgenstern type bivariate uniform variables.

폴리이미드형 8인치 정전기척의 제조 (Fabrication of 8 inch Polyimide-type Electrostatic Chuck)

  • A polyimide-type electrostatic chuck (ESC) was fabricated for the application of holding 8-inch silicon wafers in the oxide etching equipment. For the fabrication of the unipolar ESC, core technologies such as coating of polyimide films and anodizing treatment of aluminum surface were developed. The polyimide films were prepared on top of thin coated copper substrates for the good electrical contacts, and the helium gas cooling technique was used for the temperature uniformity of the silicon wafers. The ESC was essentially working with an unipolar operation, which was easier to fabricate and operate compared to a bipolar operation. The chucking force of the ESC has been measured to be about 580 gf when the applied voltage was 1.5 kV, which was considered to be enough force to hold wafers during the dry etching processing. The employment of the ESC in etcher system could make 8% enhancement of the wafer processing yield.

Fault Current Limiting and Magnetizing Characteristics of the Autotransformer Type SFCL

  • In designing the autotransformer type superconducting fault-current limiter (SFCL), one must consider that the iron core can be saturated for the SFCL to have effective fault-current limiting operation. In this paper, to examine the saturation of the iron core comprising SFCL during the fault period, the linkage flux and the magnetizing current of the SFCL were derived from the electrical equivalent circuit with the nonlinear exciting branch. By analysis on the linkage flux versus the magnetizing current of the autotransformer type SFCL, calculated from the short-circuit tests, the design condition for the suppression of the iron core's saturation was discussed.

  • Capacities of a tandem-type air-conditioner may be modulated by turning on and off of multiple compressors, and adjusting the position of a electronic expansion valve. In this study, control algorithms for compressors and a electronic expansion valve were developed by using fuzzy logics. The pressure control algorithm was also developed for the safe operation of compressors.   • Submucosal type cleft palate is subdivision of cleft palate. Because of late detection, the treatment - for example, the operation or the speech therapy - for the submucosal type cleft palate patient usually late. In this study, we want to find the objective characteristics of submucosal type cleft palate patient, comparing with the normal and the complete cleft palate patient. Experimental groups are 10 submucosal type cleft palate patients who got the operation in our hospital, 10 complete cleft palate patients. And, 10 normals as control group. The sentence patterns using in this study is simple 5 vowels. Using CSL program we evaluate the Formant, Bandwidth. We analized the spectral characteristics of speech signals of 3 groups, before and after the operation.

노후신호장치 잔존수명 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Assessment of Residual Life Span for Old Type Signalling Equipment)

  • 전자부품으로 구성된 제어기의 선뢰성에 대한 연구는 미국방부를 중심으로 1960년대부터 연구되었으며, 철도분야에서는 유럽을 중심으로 1990년대부터 연구되었다. 특히 한국에서는 2000년대 이후부터 신호설비 신뢰성에 대한 연구가 시작되어 과거 신뢰성정보가 없는 노후신호설비를 대상으로 하는 효율적인 유지보수를 위한 신뢰도 평가가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 부품단위 고장률 또는 운영시 발생된 고장정보와 같이 신호장치의 신뢰성이 지속적으로 감시 및 분석되지 않고 25년 이상 사용된, 노후신호장치를 대상으로 부품단위 신뢰도를 평가하고, 잔존수명함수를 사용하여 현재시점에서의 신뢰도변화를 예측하였으며, 연장사용이 요구되는 기간에 대한 가속스트레스시험을 통해 연장사용의 가능성을 평가하는 모델을 개발하였다. 개발된 모델은 노후신호설비를 운영하는 철도운영기관이 미래의 유지보수정책을 수립하기 위해 활용될 것이다.

  • 현재 군 지휘통제를 위한 통신용도로 전술정보통신망 TICN이 개발되어 양산 및 보급중이나, 3.5세대 이동통신기술인 WiBro를 기반으로 하고 있어 실제 운용상황에서 기술적 한계가 드러나고 있다. 이에 따라 통신 가시선 확보 어려움 및 신속한 통신망 구성 제한과 같은 기술적 한계를 극복하기 위한 대안으로 드론형 기지국 플랫폼이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 밀리미터파 대역 중 셀룰러 통신용도로 가장 적합하다고 판단되는 28GHz 대역에서 드론형 기지국 운용을 구현한 시뮬레이션 성능평가를 수행하였다. 구체적으로는 다중 셀 토폴로지 상에서 주파수 재사용 및 스케줄링과 같은 무선자원 운용방안에 따른 기지국 전송률 및 단말 간 전송률 공정성의 변화양상을 분석하였고, 이를 통해 드론형 기지국 운용에 대한 통찰을 제공하고자 하였다.
