Devices of diversion gate used at irrigation canal, as a irrigation structures of agriculture, have shown serious problems such as corrosion, defect, inconvenience of operation, etc. Accordingly, handy devices of diversion gate have been developed and then tested in the laboratory. The operating types of the prototype were a rack-and-pinion type, an improved screw type that only gate plate was moved up and down while the screw axis was unmoved, and a remote control type which can be controlled from 50m away using a remote control system. Those 3 types were developed, and the improved screw type was shown the best operation through the laboratory tests.

This case covers the issues related to the operation problem, cause analysis and improvement cases of the FGD that employed the non-leakage type GGH in coal-fired power plant for the first time in Korea. In the Cooler, there was a main problem that the tube is damaged by the ash cutting due to the high velocity of flue gas in the duct and by the weak wear resistance of material. In the Reheater, there was a main problem that the tube was corroded due to chlorine and sulfur in the circumstance of the low temperature. In order to solve those problems, we have improved the Reheater tube and tube fins by coating enamel to reduce corrosion rate.

This paper describes the universal-type signaling service equipment which provides a signaling service function (R2 MFC, DTMF, Continuity check tone, and Audible tone sending and/or receiving) for call processing control in TDX-10 switching system. Based upon the structure of the TDX-10 switching system, the philosophy of design and technology on the universal-type signaling service equipment has been investigated in order to realize a reduction in size and cost, as well as assuring high reliability and flexible operation. Finally, the control method, fuctional operation and principal feature of the designed universal-type signaling service equipment have been described.

The rotational force of ultrasonic motors is able to get from the frictional force of elliptical vibration by contact between rotor and stator. Generally, ultrasonic motors are suitable for driving at resonant frequencies of about 20∼80［KHz］. The driving characteristics of ring type ultrasonic motors are the object of this study. A two-phase driving signal is delivered to the tested ultrasonic motor, which has a $90^0$ phase difference respectively with both sine and cosine voltage waveforms. The driving frequency is almost equal to the mechanical resonant frequency for the proper operation, and the driving signal is supplied by the two-phase parallel resonant inverter. The validity of the proposed driving method is verified by experimental results with stable operation.

This study was conducted to develop a 2 row type band furrow tiller for a walking cultivator. The tillage and weeding operations in the furrow of dry fields has been done manually or chemical herbicide has been applied. The application of herbicide induces soil pollution and manual operation requires heavy labor. This 2-row type implement was developed to substitute this manual operation and to minimize soil pollution. The developed implement was composed of power transmitting device, tilling device, frame and tail wheel. The max. plowing width and depth were 300mm and 180mm, respectively. The revolutions of the hexagonal shaft and the tillage shaft were $227{\sim}376rpm$ and $355{\sim}590rpm$, respectively. The adequate working speed was $0.50{\sim}0.83m/s$ and the field capacity was $0.17{\sim}0.28hr/10a$.

In this paper, the power generation efficiency of the 4 [kW] fixed-concentrated type photovoltaic power generation system and that of the 4 [kW] single axis trace type photovoltaic power generation system were compared. For that purpose, the two types of photovoltaic power generation systems have been in operation for 1 year on an experimental basis. The amounts of power generated by the two types during the months of January through December and the characteristics of their operating times during the same period have been compared and analyzed. For the study, the type with higher efficiency was selected and the following conclusions have been reached. It was shown that the amount of power generated and the average operation times during the spring months of March through May are higher that those of the summer months of June through August when more sunlight is available. The reason for this phenomenon is thought to be that as the temperatures of the solar panel surface and the surrounding environment go up, the electric current decreases.

The fault current limiting characteristics of three-phase transformer type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL), which consisted of three-phase primary and secondary windings wound on E-I iron core, one high-TC superconducting (HTSC) element connected with the secondary winding of one phase and another HTSC element connected in parallel with other two secondary windings of two phases, were analyzed. Unlike other three-phase transformer type SFCLs with three HTSC elements, three-phase transformer type SFCL using double quench has the merit to perform fault current limiting operation for three-phase ground faults with two HTSC elements. To verify its proper three-phase ground fault current limiting operation, three-phase ground faults such as single-line ground, double-line ground and triple-line ground faults were generated in three-phase simulated power system installed with three-phase transformer type SFCL using double quench. From analysis of its fault current limiting characteristics based on tested results, three-phase transformer type SFCL using double quench was shown to be effectively operated for all three-phase ground faults.

In this paper the characteristics of vibration induced by subway trains running on track is discussed. The quantitative prediction of the vibration level and the countermeasure for reduction of necessary, is of importance for the better environment. It was made the constructed Bundang line as first step with the modified Young-Dan type to basis on the Japanese Young-Dan type. In this paper it was measured and analyzed to two region ($ \circled1$Susuh-Bokjung. $ \circled2$Chorim-Suhyun region) of this. at present, operational Bundang line when averaging velocity of train is 60 (km/h). As the response characteristics of frequency Induced by subway operation, it was confirmed that frequency band of neighborhood of 30~80 Hz in generally dominant. Also to assess the quantitative nitration as response level to be measured for each point of two region in subway operation, the vibrational response level was measured at the state to be not subway operation. And the level was approximately $\fraction one-fifth~\fraction one-ten$ level comparing to subway operation.

Objective : In order to investigate symptoms prevalence related to visual display terminal(VDT) syndrome, and to evaluate the variables affecting the development of the VDT syndrome. Methods : a questionnaire survey was conducted on 127(81 men and 46 women) VDT operators who had been studied in Soongsil University graduated school in Seoul. Result : As a result of analysis with data collected by questionnaire, l. Variables affecting the level of general symptoms were sex, the total time of VDT operation per day, type of typewriting, location of keyboard, illumination, VDT working duration, the time of VDT operation without rest. 2. Variables affecting the level of eye symptoms were sex, the total time of VDT operation per day, type of typewriting, VDT working duration, illumination, method of eye-resting. 3. Variables affecting the level of musculoskeletal symptoms were sex, the total time of VDT operation per day, the time of VDT operation without rest, illumination. Conculsions : In order to protect workers from VDT syndrome, it is urgently required to implement standard management recommendations including restriction of VDT working hours and allowance of more sufficient resting time for VDT workers.

This paper aims to give an explanation of the combination of certain nouns and the verb ha-'do'. Although the verb ha-'do'normally takes an event type argument, it takes some substantival nouns such as paiolin 'violin', umsikcem 'restaurant', and so on. A substantival noun undergoes type shifting, because the governing verb ha-'do'coerces an entity type noun to an event reading, taking missing information from the qualia of the entity type noun. In addition, some nouns like ppallay 'laundry'are dot objects. The verb laking a dot objects selects a proper type between multiple subtypes of the dot object. Type pumping operation makes that selection possible.
