DRAM 패키지의 고주파 잡음 특성 (The Characteristics of operating noises in the FBGA packages at high frequency)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the FBGA packages operating in high speeds and high frequency rates for DRAM. Using 3D simulations, we could extract s-parameters of packages. We realize that the proposed FBGA package does not operate properly at 3Gbps bacause the FBGA package have delta-I noise($V_{{\Delta}I-peak}$) of 132.0mV and crosstalk of 300mV, which is 25% of the operating clock level.

  • Design methods are presented for a broadband corrugated horn antenna operating X/Ku band (7.25-14.5 CHz). The corrugated horn consists of a circular waveguide taper, a mode converter, a waveguide-to-horn transition, and a hem section. Methods of design are presented for each section. The designed antenna shows excellent characteristics over the entire operating frequency range.

  • This paper presents the operating characteristic of high voltage impulse(HVI) track circuit owing to the ill-contact of impedance bond lead wire. The characteristic operations of the track include rail voltage and current. Measurements are carried out using oscilloscope with current probe and it analyzed the abnormal operation due to connector of protective wire. Finally, suitable track circuit is proposed for conventional line, and operating characteristic of HVI track circuit is affected by bypass circuit.

  • The 440C stainless steel is used for ball bearings and bevel gears in the control rod drive mechanism for the integral reactor, SMART. The friction characteristics of 400C stainless steel a investigated in sliding motion using the reciprocating tribometer which can simulate the operating conditions of the control rod drive mechanism. Highly purified water is used as lubricant, and the water is heated and pressurized in the autoclave. Friction force on the reciprocating specimens is measured by the load cells and transformed into friction coefficient. It is verified that frictional characteristic of the 440c steel is not drastically changed up to operating temperature and variation of friction coeffcient at operating temperature from room temperature to 160$^{\circ}C$ is within 5%.

  • An experimental study has been carried out to investigate the dehumidification characteristics for several operating conditions of a compact desiccant rotor. This problem is of particular interest in the design of a desiccant type of dehumidifier. Room temperature, room humidity, regeneration temperature, revolution speed and frontal air velocity of desiccant rotor are varied as operating conditions. The results obtained indicate that dehumidification rate is increased with an increase in the room humidity while dehumidification effectiveness is not changed much. It is also found that the optimal rotor speed and optimal regeneration temperature exist for maximum dehumidification rate and dehumidification effectiveness.

  • To improve the hydraulic control performance of ABS, it is necessary to establish an efficient control algorithm. And also it is necessary to ova]Hate a hydraulic modulator with solenoid valve quantitatively. In this paper, FEM and permeance method are used to analyze dynamic characteristics of outlet valve. In return, mathmatical modeling of a hydraulic modulator and operating pressure is presented, and the model parameters of an outlet valve are moving plunger, spring constant and orifice diameter. This study shows the way to improve the dynamic characteristic of an ABS outlet valve heavily depending on operating pressure. It is recommended that operating pressure should be justified at the first step toward the design to get the optimal design of an outlet valve.

Comparison of Objective Functions for Feed-forward Neural Network Classifiers Using Receiver Operating Characteristics Graph

  • When developing a classifier using various objective functions, it is important to compare the performances of the classifiers. Although there are statistical analyses of objective functions for classifiers, simulation results can provide us with direct comparison results and in this case, a comparison criterion is considerably critical. A Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) graph is a simulation technique for comparing classifiers and selecting a better one based on a performance. In this paper, we adopt the ROC graph to compare classifiers trained by mean-squared error, cross-entropy error, classification figure of merit, and the n-th order extension of cross-entropy error functions. After the training of feed-forward neural networks using the CEDAR database, the ROC graphs are plotted to help us identify which objective function is better.

STATIC CHARACTERISTICS OF A UREA-SCR SYSTEM FOR NOx REDUCTION IN DIESEL ENGINES

  • This paper presents the static characteristics of a urea-SCR system. The static characterization of the urea-SCR system was generated by sweeping urea flow rates at common engine torque/speed operating points. Several experiments were performed using engine operating points at different raw NOx emission levels, space velocities, and SCR catalyst temperatures. The recorded NOx emissions from the engine exhaust outlet and engine tailpipe are then compared. The urea-SCR static system results indicated that a $50{\sim}60%$ NOx conversion is achievable at most engine operating points using the stoichiometric $NH_3/NOx$ ratio, and a high 98% NOx conversion is possible by exceeding the stoichiometric $NH_3/NOx$ ratio. The effect of the pre-oxidation catalyst volume was also investigated and found to have a profound impact on experimental results, particularly the static NOx conversion.

연소기가 장착된 수증기 개질기에서 운전조건이 열유동 특성 및 개질효율에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Operating Conditions on the Heat-flow Characteristics and Reforming Efficiency of Steam Reformer with Combustor)

  • The heat-flow characteristics and reforming efficiency of steam reformer with combustor are numerically investigated at various operating conditions. SCR(Steam to Carbon Ratio) and GHSV(Gas Hourly Space Velocity) are adopted as important operating conditions. User-Defined-Function(UDF) was used to simultaneously calculate reforming and combustion reaction. Numerical results show that hot burned gas rise by a buoyant force and heat exchange between reforming reactors and cocurrent flow occurs in the combustion region. The results also indicate that an increase of SCR leads to decrease the mole fraction of hydrogen at the reactor outlet. As GHSV increases, conversion rate decreases.

  • 본 논문은 이중모드램제트(램제트-스크램제트 연합 작동) 엔진의 작동한계 분석을 기초하여 광범위한 비행 마하수를 충족시키는 엔진에 대한 설계 인자 (흡입구와 연소실)를 고찰하였다. 램제트와 스크램제트의 작동 천이 비행 마하수를 도출하고, 두가지 경우의 연소기(일정한 압력과 일정한 단면적)의 연소실 작동 한계 특성을 파악하여 이중모드 램제트 엔진의 설계 개념을 연구하였다.
