This study discussed the formation of phosphate conversion coatings on AZ31 Mg alloy (AZ31) from the zinc phosphating bath with various concentrations of sodium fluoride (NaF). The effects of NaF on the formation, structure, composition and electrochemical behavior of the phosphate coatings were examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) weight balances, open circuit potential (OCP) transients, potentiodynamic polarization curves and immersion test. The coatings were composed of two layers: an outer $Zn_2(PO_4)_3.4H_2O$ (hopeite) crystal layer and an inner amorphous of $MgZn_2(PO_4)_2$. NaF concentration is emphasized to be highly effective in the formation of the hopeite crystal and etching and coating rates. Potentiodynamic polarization and immersion test showed that the coatings formed in the zinc phosphating bath with addition of NaF have much higher corrosion resistance than bare AZ31.
In order to provide a source for nine phases suitable for 18-pulse ac to dc power, this paper proposes a new structure for a step-up asymmetrical delta-connected transformer for converting three-phase ac power to nine-phase ac power. The design allows for symmetry between the nine output voltages to improve the power quality of the supply current and to minimize the THD. The results show that this new structure proves the equality between the output voltages with $40^{\circ}-{\alpha}$ and $40^{\circ}+{\alpha}$ phase shifting and produces symmetrical output currents. This result in the elimination of harmonics in the network current and provides a simulated THD that is equal to 5.12 %. An experimental prototype of the step-up asymmetrical delta-autotransformer is developed in the laboratory and the obtained results give a network current with a THD that is equal to 5.35%. Furthermore, a finite element analysis with a 3D magnetic field model is made based on the dimensions of the 4kVA, 400 V laboratory prototype three-phase with three-limb delta-autotransformer with a six-stacked-core in each limb. The magnetic distribution flux, field intensity and magnetic energy are carried out under open-circuit operation or load-loss.

This paper proposes a new SSHG(Sag/swell and Harmonic Generator) injecting voltage by using series inverter. The proposed SSHG composes series inverter, DC capacitor as energy storage, rectifier and voltage clamp circuit. This SSHG is designed to generate typical power disturbances, such as voltage sag/swell, over/under voltage and voltage flicker. Also it is designed to generate unexpected voltage phase jumping waveform by controlling the series inverter. In this paper, three kinds of control methods for the proposed 2MVA SSHG are given. Typical voltage sag and swell waveforms are implemented by adopting simple control method. Also the voltage flicker is generated by changing the amplitude of the injected voltage in random. Owing to the limited bandwith of the proposed SSHG, high frequency transient waveforms can be obtained by using the open loop control. The simulation and experimental results are given to verify the operation of the proposed SSHG, Finally, conclusions are given.
Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanosheets were patterned with poly[benzodithiophene-bis(decyltetradecyl-thien) naphthothiadiazole] (PBDT-DTNT) and poly[bis(triiso-propylsilylethynyl) benzodithiophene-bis(decyltetradecyl-thien) naphthobisthiadiazole] (PBDT-TIPS-DTNT-DT) and used in photovoltaics. Conductive patternings changed via surface modification of rGO; because polymers encountered a high hindrance while assembling onto grafted rGO. The best records were detected in indium tin oxide (ITO):poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS):PBDTDTNT/rGO:PBDT-DTNT:LiF:Al devices, i.e., short current density $(J_{sc})=11.18mA/cm^2$, open circuit voltage $(V_{oc})=0.67V$, fill factor (FF) = 62% and power conversion efficiency (PCE) = 4.64%. PCE increased 2.31 folds after incorporation of PBDT-DTNT into thin films. Larger polymer assemblies on bared-rGO nanosheets resulted in greater phase separations.

The formation behavior of zinc phosphate conversion coating (ZPCC) on SCM430 alloy was investigated in 25 vol.% of 1M ZnO + 170 ml/L solution containing various $Fe(NO_3)_2$ concentrations, using open-circuit potential(OCP), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS), cyclic polarization(CP) curve and tape peel test. OCP of SCM430 alloy and corrosion current density increased with increasing $Fe(NO_3)_3$ concentration. Resistance of films formed on SCM430 alloy by chemical conversion treatment decreased with increasing $Fe(NO_3)_3$ concentration. Color and adhesion of chemical conversion coatings became darker and worse, respectively, with increasing $Fe(NO_3)_3$ concentration. It is concluded that addition of $Fe(NO_3)_3$ into a zinc phosphating bath leads to faster reaction to form porous surface coatings with poor adhesion and corrosion resistance.

Electroless Ni-P coatings are widely used in the chemical, mechanical, and electronic industries because of their excellent wear and abrasion resistance. In this study, the effect of $TiO_2$ particles of composite coating was investigated. To improve the corrosion resistance, electroless $Ni-P-TiO_2$composite coating was studied by varying the $TiO_2$ content. The morphology and phase structure of $Ni-P-TiO_2$ composite coatings were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffractometry(XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The result showed that $Ni-P-TiO_2$composite coating is composed of Ni, P, Ti and O. It exhibits an amorphous structure, high hardness and good corrosion resistance to the substrate. $Ni-P-TiO_2$ composite coatings have higher open circuit potential than that of the substrate, which obtained at $TiO_2$ content of 5.0 g/L optimal integrated properties.
In this work, we describe the effect of pulse anodizing duty ratio on the corrosion resistance of anodic films in magnesium AZ31B. The process involves the application of square pulse potential for a constant period with a duty ratio varying from 40, 60 and 80%. In several samples, a sealing treatment for 30 minutes was conducted after anodization in order to seal the pores available in the anodic layer. After anodizing, the surface morphology of the anodic layer was examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM Hitachi SU3500). The corrosion characteristics of the sample were evaluated through an open circuit potential (OCP) and potentiodynamic polarization test using potentiogalvanostat. SEM observation shows that the increase of anodization duty ratio (α) results in a more uniform anodic layer, with fewer pores and cracks. The increase of duty ratio (α) decreases the OCP value from approximately -1.475 to about -1.6 Volt, and significantly improves the corrosion resistance of the anodic coating by 68%. The combination of anodization and sealing treatment produces an anodic coating with a very low corrosion rate of 4.4 mpy.
The High Performance Module With The Shingled String Has Several Advantages Such As The Larger Active Area, Higher Open-Circuit Voltage And Smaller Cell To Module (Ctm) Loss. To Obtain Increase Of Power In Pv Shingled Module, The Detailed Condition Of Various Parameters Related To Cutting And Bonding Process Were Investigated In This Study. We Searched The Optimized Cutting Conditions Of Laser Scan Speed, The Number Of Laser-Scribing And Also Bonding Conditions Of Electrically Conductive Adhesives (Eca) By Varying Amount Of Eca, Curing Time And Curing Temperature. The Shingled Pv Module Showed 25.4W of Maxmimum Power At 60 Rpm Of Dipensing Motor Speed, 30 Seconds Of Curing Time And $140^{\circ}C$ Of Curing Temperature, Respectively.
Corrosion properties of dissimilar friction stir welded 6061 aluminum and HT590 steel were investigated to understand effects of galvanic corrosion. As cathode when coupled, HT590 was cathodically protected. However, the passivation of AA6061 made the aluminum alloy cathode temporarily, which leaded to corrosion of HT590. From the EIS analysis showing Warburg diffusion plot in Nyquist plots, it can be inferred that the stable passivation layer was formed on AA6061. However, the weld as well as HT590 did not show Warburg diffusion plot in Nyquist plots, suggesting that there was no barrier for corrosion or even if it exists, the barrier had no function for preventing and/or retarding charge transport through the passivation layer. The open circuit potential measurements showed that the potential of the weld was similar to that of HT590, which lied in the pitting region for AA6061, making the aluminum alloy part of the weld keep corrosion state. That resulted in the cracked oxide film on AA6061 of the weld, which could not play a role of corrosion barrier.
