추사피중에서 자동조타로써 항행하는 선박의 추진에너지 손실량 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Prediction of Propulsive Energy Loss Related to Automatic Steering of Ships in Following Seas)

  • When an automatic course-keeping is concerned as is quite popular in modern navigation the closed-loop steering system consists of autopilot device power unit (or telemotor unit) steering gear magnetic or gyro compass and ship dynamics. The consideration of irregular disturbances to ship dyanmics and a few non-linear mechanisms involved in the system inevitably or artificially are known to be very important in properly evaluating or analyzing the automatic steering system. In the present study the mathematical model of each element of an automatic steering system is derived which takes account of a fex non-linear mechanisms. PD(Proportional-Derivative) controller and low-pass filter with a weather adjustment are adopted to modelling the characteristics of an autopilot. The calculation method of imposing irregular disturbances to ship dynamics is proposed where irregular disturbances implying irregular wave and the fluctuating component of wind. For he evaluation of automatic steering system of ships in the open seas an important term "performance index" is introduced from the viewpoint of energy saving which derived from the concept of energy loss on ship propulsion. Finally the present methods are applied to two typical types of ship ; an ore carrier and a fishing boat. The various effects of linear and/or non-linear control constants of autopilot on propulsive energy loss are investigated to validate and clarify the present smulation technique.

민감도가 향상된 링 형태의 비 침습식 혈당 센서 (Ring type non-invasive glucose sensor)

  • 루프 공진기 구조를 가지는 비침습식 혈당 센서 구조를 제작하여 혈당 측정을 위한 민감도 측정을 하였다. 0%와 20%의 글루코스 용액의 전기적 특성을 확인하고, 25mm${\sim}$170mm의 지름을 가지는 링 구조를 이용하여 식염수 중 글루코스 농도에 따른 반사 손실의 차이를 측정하였다. 링 형태 프로브가 혈액과 같은 인체 내부의 물질을 측정하는데 종단 개방 프로브에 비해 유리한 특성을 가지며, 측정 주파수 중 가장 낮은 285MHz에서 S11이 0.94의 차이를 보여, 저주파일수록 민감도가 향상됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • Fundamental positioning characteristics of a dual-axis Sawyer linear motor are described. The Sawyer motor is capable of high positional accuracy. An electronic control unit of the motor whose velocity is proportional to the frequency of the electric current was produced in our laboratory. The positioning system was constructed using two Sawyer motors, an air bearings suspension unit and an electronic control unit. The stable motion of the motor was confirmed on the open loop operation. The adjustable operating conditions were the live load of 1 kg, the maximum acceleration of 1.2G and the maximum velocity of 350 mm/s. Absolute positioning accuracy was improved within .+-.5.mu.m, on microstep operating conditions of dividing one pitch of 508.mu.m into 508 steps. The following two conclusions were obtained. An accelerating-cruising-decelerating control is effective for reduction in the travel time required. Also, microstep operation is effective for improving the resolution of position.

디지털식 연속/단속 용접용 캐리지 개발 (Development of Digital Carriage for Continuous/Intermittent Welding)

  • This paper shows the results of the development of a small size of digital type continuous and intermittent welding auto-carriage based on microprocessor (Intel 80196KC) for welding process with long welding line. The developed welding auto-carriage loads welding torch and tracks welding line. It is an automaton largely used for welding process with a lot of long welding lines such as shipbuilding and structure. Most traditional auto-carriages have been developed based on analog circuit for open loop control. So this analog circuit welding auto-carriage cannon control welding speed. Specially welding auto-carriage for intermittent welding condition is so complicated and has the low precision of control performance in welding distance and non-welding distance. The auto-carriage developed in this paper has the following characteristics: It has not only functions of traditional carriage but also functions such as pseudo-welding process of big iron structures, intermittent welding in order to limit heat for welding thin plates, crater treatment of the final step of welding, acceleration at the initial step of welding and deceleration in the final step of welding. The main control board of auto-carriage, power supply system and DC motor drive wee developed and manufactured. The welding speed and the welding distance of the developed auto-carriage are controlled accurately by feedback control using photo-sensor. Hardware and software robust against the heat and noise produced on the welding process are developed.

Active Control of Flow Noise Sources in Turbulent Boundary Layer on a Flat-Plate Using Piezoelectric Bimorph Film

  • The piezoelectric bimorph film, which, as an actuator, can generate more effective displacement than the usual PVDF film, is used to control the turbulent boundary-layer flow. The change of wall pressures inside the turbulent boundary layer is observed by using the multi-channel microphone array flush-mounted on the surface when actuation at the non-dimensional frequency $f_b^+$:=0.008 and 0.028 is applied to the turbulent boundary layer. The wall pressure characteristics by the actuation to produce local displacement are more dominantly influenced by the size of the actuator module than the actuation frequency. The movement of large-scale turbulent structures to the upper layer is found to be the main mechanism of the reduction in the wall- pressure energy spectrum when the 700$700{\nu}/u_{\tau}$-long bimorph film is periodically actuated at the non- dimensional frequency $f_b^+$:=0.008 and 0.028. The biomorph actuator is triggered with the time delay for the active forcing at a single frequency when a 1/8' pressure-type, pin-holed microphone sensor detects the large-amplitude pressure event by the turbulent spot. The wall-pressure energy in the late-transitional boundary layer is partially reduced near the convection wavenumber by the open-loop control based on the large amplitude event.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the non-gravity fluidized dryer. In this non-gravity fluidized dryer the fluidized zone is produced by two paddles in mixer, which maximizes the surface area of materials and then heated air through the guiding panels dehumidify them. This can conduct the drying process quickly and control moisture contents to lower limits. The ventilation system is closed loop system, which can be changeable to open system, and can be used as a multi-purposed dryer in which mixing, drying, granulating and cooling process is conducted. In order to develop non-gravity fluidized dryer, in the first the fundamental experiments performed to mixing accuracy and then the other parts of dryer and control system were examined to check whether they were designed properly and operated harmoniously with mixer. Also the preparatory experiments were fulfilled to examine the efficiency and reliability of dryer. Lastly, on the basis of preparatory experiments in case the initial moisture contents, desired moisture contents, heated air velocity and heating temperature were vary, performance test for the non-gravity fluidized dryer carried out.

  • 유도 전동기의 직접토크 제어 방식은 전류제어 루프를 필요로 하지 않아 제어알고리즘이 간단하며 구현이 용이하나 저속운전에서 토크제어 속응성이 서하되는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 유도전동기의 직접토크제어 방식을 Matlab Simulink를 이용하여 모델링하고, 서속 영역에서의 운전특성음 개선하기 위한 목적으로 확장된 Luenberger 관측기에 의한 새로운 고정자 자속관측기의 적용올 제안하였다. 또한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 고정자 저항값이 가변되는 경우플 가정하여 기촌의 개푸프 자속추정 방식에 의한 직접토크제어와 제안한 폐루프 자속관측기에 의한 직접토크 제어방식의 동특성을 비교하므로서 제안된 자속관측기를 이용한 직접토크제어 방식이 저속영역에서 보다 동특성이 우수함을 엽증하였다.

Approximate Equivalent-Circuit Modeling and Analysis of Type-II Resonant Immittance Converters

  • Resonant immittance converter (RIC) topologies can transform a current source into a voltage source (Type-I RICs) and vice versa (Type-II RICs), thereby making them suitable for many power electronics applications. RICs are operated at a fixed frequency where the resonant immittance network (RIN) exhibits immittance conversion characteristics. It is observed that the low-frequency response of Type-II RINs is relatively flat and that the state variables associated with Type-II RINs affect the response only at the high frequencies in the vicinity of the switching frequency. The overall response of a Type-II RIC is thus dominated by the filter response, which is particularly important for the controller design. Therefore, an approximate equivalent circuit model and a small-signal model of Type-II RICs are proposed in this paper, neglecting the high-frequency response of Type-II RINs. While the proposed models greatly simplify and speed-up the analysis, it adequately predicts the open-loop transient and small-signal ac behavior of Type-II RICs. The validity of the proposed models is confirmed by comparisons of their results with those obtained from a cycle-by-cycle simulation and with an experimental prototype.

  • A Linear Stepping Motor(LSM) can operate open loop control mode similarly to a rotary stepping motor. The linear motion without any mechanical linkage in the LSM results in several advantages for precise positioning actuators. However, to realize the more stable and higher speed control without hunting, it is necessary to derive an equivalent circuit to explain the steady-state and transisent characteristics in order to find an adequate control rule for high performance control of the LSM. In this paper, magnetic equivalent circuit is obtained, based on the structure of the LSM, and then the electric equivalent circuit of the LSM is derived by solving equations for the magnetic equivalent circuit. The 1-step response characteristic of the LSM is analyzed by the ACSL with the voltage equations, the force equations, the force equations and the kinetic equation.

  • This paper reports an electrostatically driven and electromagnetically sensed planar vibratory gyroscope based on a surface-bulk combined micromachining. The fabricated structure has comb electrodes which are 400${\mu}m$ thick, 18${\mu}m$ wide, 600${\mu}m$ long and separated by 7${\mu}m$ so that the height-gap ratio is about 57. It also has electroplated gold springs which are 15${\mu}m$ wide, 14${\mu}m$ thick and 500${\mu}m$ long on both sides of the seismic mass. The open-loop characteristics of fabricated gyroscope at atmospheric pressure are measured on a rate table. The fabricated gyroscope has a sensitivity of 30mV/deg/sec, and a resolution of 0.1deg/sec at atmospheric pressure. It is expected that non linearity of full scale output is less than 0.8% with. the dynamic range of $\pm$500deg/sec.
