  • Reinforcement learning learns policies for accomplishing a task's goal by experience through interaction between agent and environment. Q-learning, basis algorithm of reinforcement learning, has the problem of curse of dimensionality and slow learning speed in the incipient stage of learning. In order to solve the problems of Q-learning, new function approximation methods suitable for reinforcement learning should be studied. In this paper, to improve these problems, we suggest Fuzzy Q-Map algorithm that is based on online fuzzy clustering. Fuzzy Q-Map is a function approximation method suitable to reinforcement learning that can do on-line teaming and express uncertainty of environment. We made an experiment on the mountain car problem with fuzzy Q-Map, and its results show that learning speed is accelerated in the incipient stage of learning.

  • Generally, In distributed online game server system, game maps are processed separately by means of dividing into several unit blocks. But the keeping normal distribution of user in game map is very difficult because preferences of game users are not same according to individual user's private character. For this reason, if the huge number of users concentrate on particular region of same game map at once, the game server exceed their threshold so that the system can be getting down. Conversely, the efficiency of system goes down considerably because the game server must perform map processing continuously even under user_empty situation. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a Map management method to control relatively normal distribution of users in game maps using Map Balance Server. In suggested model, we can reduce the load of game servers by means of turn off the game map processing temporary when a server is under user_empty situation. we also can maximize server performance by means of redistribution of map processing load among servers.

  • The 4th industrial revolution refers to the transition to a knowledge society in which the production speed of knowledge is fast and the proportion of the knowledge industry is greatly increased. The reorganization of the industrial structure and the change of occupations and jobs due to new technologies are bringing about changes in education, and the development of digital technology has made education that is borderless, individual and dynamic, becoming the new standard of education. With these changes, interest in nano-degrees on new technologies or micro-degrees focused on core courses rather than regular course degrees is increasing. As a representative example, Udacity in the United States has opened and operated online nanodegree courses related to jobs, and collaborates with major companies to develop and educate core training courses necessary for companies, thereby efficiently supporting companies in securing talent. With the revitalization of online vocational and job training, an environment has been prepared in which individuals can set goals for vocational competency development and continue their portfolio-based sustainable learning. However, for effective vocational education, automated and personalized educational content design should be preceded. To this end, in this paper, we propose a personalized career and course map recommendation system in the era of online learning

  • This study aimed to develop positioning strategies through the preparation of a positioning map by introducing brand personality to online shopping malls. Such a study will be able to furnish useful information for establishing differentiated marketing strategies in the online shopping mall market, which has faced fierce competition. For research subjects, the study was aimed at students who were attending S college in the Busan region. The results of an empirical analysis are as follows. The brand personality of online shopping malls were deduced to be the following factors: "competence refinement", "vitality", "intimateness", and "reliability". Then the study prepared a positioning map with these assessment attributes. As a result, there were mutually significant differences among competitive shopping malls in the positioning of consumers. The most differentiated attributes in the perception of the entire group were discovered to be "intimateness" and "vitality", whereas the least differentiated attribute was found to be "reliability". In addition, also in terms of the preference and ideal points for online shopping malls in accordance with brand personality between the entire group and segmented groups, there were mutually significant differences.

  • In this letter, we propose blackbox and scenario-based testing of multiplayer online games as well as simple load testing. Game testing is done from outside the source code, and the access to the source code is not required to testers because the game logic is described with a game description language and virtual game map. Instead of using a subset of the main game client for the test client, only game packet protocols and the sequence of packets are analyzed for new game testing. In addition, complex and various scenarios can be tested through combining defined actions. Scenario-based testing helps testers mimic real testing environments instead of doing simple load testing and improves the productivity of game testing.

  • A MMORPG(Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) is an online role-playing game in which a large number of players can interact with each other in the same world at the same time. Most of them require significant hardware requirements(e.g., servers and bandwidth), and dedicated support staff. Despite the efforts of developers, users often cite overpopulation, lag, and poor support as problems of games. In this paper, a dynamic load balancing method for MMORPGS is proposed. It tries to adapt to dynamic change of population by using dynamic map-partition method with VML(Virtual Map Layer) which consists of fields, sector groups, sectors, and cells. From the experimental results, our approach achieves about $23^{\sim}67%$ lower loads for each field server. By the modification to Virtual Area Layer, we can easily manage problems that come from changes of map data, resources' status, and users' behavior pattern.

  • This qualitative study investigated different interaction patterns in an online discussion. The data was collected from asynchronous discussion occurred in a graduate course. The data analysis methods include inductive analysis and mapping strategy. The results of the study suggest three layers of interaction: response sequences, interaction amongst participants, and concept map of messages. The visualization of response sequences enabled the researcher to discover complex and dynamic interaction patterns amongst participants. The many-to-many communication feature of online discussion does not always enable direct one-on-one interaction between two participants. Rather, one message contributed to multiple threads in the stream of conversation. In terms of interaction amongst participants, the interaction amongst participants, as indicated in the data, the messages also bind each participant and consequently a group(s) of participants together. It appears that the contribution of one message may not only enable a response to one participant, but also connect many participants to each other. The concept map of messages proposes that response sequences and interaction amongst participants can also be viewed between concepts within messages in the discussion. On the surface, the messages posted by individuals are linked by the system in a linear fashion as they are posted. However, the interaction extends to collaborative conversation amongst participants. Ultimately, a conceptual network of interrelated ideas including multiple perspectives is built in asynchronous discussion.
