  • This research offers a sports video action recognition approach based on the fish swarm algorithm in light of the low accuracy of existing sports video action recognition methods. A modified fish swarm algorithm is proposed to construct invariant features and decrease the dimension of features. Based on this algorithm, local features and global features can be classified. The experimental findings on the typical sports action data set demonstrate that the key details of sports action can be successfully retained by the dimensionality-reduced fusion invariant characteristics. According to this research, the average recognition time of the proposed method for walking, running, squatting, sitting, and bending is less than 326 seconds, and the average recognition rate is higher than 94%. This proves that this method can significantly improve the performance and efficiency of online sports video motion recognition.

  • Having a variety of good characteristics against other pattern recognition techniques, Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) has been used in wide applications. But, it is known that Error Backpropagation (EBP) algorithm which MLP uses in learning has a defect that requires relatively long leaning time. Because learning data in pattern recognition contain abundant redundancies, in order to increase learning speed it is very effective to use online-based teaming methods, which update parameters of MLP pattern by pattern. Typical online EBP algorithm applies fixed learning rate for each update of parameters. Though a large amount of speedup with online EBP can be obtained by choosing an appropriate fixed rate, fixing the rate leads to the problem that the algorithm cannot respond effectively to different leaning phases as the phases change and the learning pattern areas vary. To solve this problem, this paper defines learning as three phases and proposes a Instant Learning by Varying Rate and Skipping (ILVRS) method to reflect only necessary patterns when learning phases change. The basic concept of ILVRS is as follows. To discriminate and use necessary patterns which change as learning proceeds, (1) ILVRS uses a variable learning rate which is an error calculated from each pattern and is suppressed within a proper range, and (2) ILVRS bypasses unnecessary patterns in loaming phases. In this paper, an experimentation is conducted for speaker verification as an application of pattern recognition, and the results are presented to verify the performance of ILVRS.

  • The rapid progress of social media allows more people to express their feelings and opinions online. Many data on social media contains people's emotional information, which can be used for people's psychological analysis and emotional calculation. This research is based on the simplified psychological scale algorithm of multi-theory integration. It aims to accurately analyze people's psychological emotion. According to the comparative analysis of algorithm performance, the results show that the highest recall rate of the algorithm in this study is 95%, while the highest recall rate of the item response theory algorithm and the social network analysis algorithm is 68% and 87%. The acceleration ratio and data volume of the research algorithm are analyzed. The results show that when 400,000 data are calculated in the Hadoop cluster and there are 8 nodes, the maximum acceleration ratio is 40%. When the data volume is 8GB, the maximum scale ratio of 8 nodes is 43%. Finally, we carried out an empirical analysis on the model that compute the population's psychological and emotional conditions. During the analysis, the psychological simplification scale algorithm was adopted and multiple theories were taken into account. Then, we collected negative comments and expressions about Japan's discharge of radioactive water in microblog and compared them with the trend derived by the model. The results were consistent. Therefore, this research model has achieved good results in the emotion classification of microblog comments.

  • The imprecise real-time system provides flexibility in scheduling time-critical tasks. Most scheduling problems of satisfying both 0/1 constraint and timing constraints, while the total error is minimized, are NP-complete when the optional tasks have arbitrary processing times. Liu suggested a reasonable strategy of scheduling tasks with the 0/1 constraint on uniprocessors for minimizing the total error. Song et al suggested a reasonable strategy of scheduling tasks with the 0/1 constraint on multiprocessors for minimizing the total error. But, these algorithms are all off-line algorithms. In the online scheduling, NORA algorithm can find a schedule with the minimum total error for the imprecise online task system. In the NORA algorithm, the EDF strategy is adopted in the optional scheduling.<중략> The algorithm, proposed in this paper, can be applied to some applications efficiently such as radar tracking, image processing, missile control and so on.

  • Online customer evaluations and social media information among a variety of information sources are critical for businesses as it influences the customer's decision making. There are limitations on the time and money that the survey will ask to identify a variety of customers' needs and complaints. The customer review data at online shopping malls provide the ideal data sources for analyzing customer sentiment about their products. In this study, we collected product reviews data on the smartphone of Samsung and Apple from Amazon. We applied five classification algorithms which are used as representative sentiment analysis techniques in previous studies. The five algorithms are based on support vector machines, bagging, random forest, classification or regression tree and maximum entropy. In this study, we proposed entropy score which can comprehensively evaluate the performance of classification algorithm. As a result of evaluating five algorithms using an entropy score, the SVMs algorithm's entropy score was ranked highest.

  • A moving picture in online game is one of major ways to advertise online games, which gives a lot of help in playing game. In this case, a moving picture is compressed to variable bit rate for efficient storage use and network resource efficiency. Adaptable bandwidth allocation technique builds a transmission plan of a game moving picture. And, then some frames are discarded when transmission rate by the transmission plan is larger than available transmission rate, until transmission rate satisfies available transmission rate. Thus, performance evaluation factors in adaptable bandwidth allocation technique may be dependent on discarding order of a frame which transmission rate is much influenced. In this paper, in order to show the performance, a CBA algorithm, an MCBA algorithm, an MVBA algorithm, [6] and [7] algorithm were applied to a transmission plan in the adaptable band width allocation technique using various frame discard methods and performance evaluation factors were compared in among smoothing algorithms.

  • This paper presents new learning algorithm of dynamic Bayesian networks (DBN) by means of constrained least square (LS) estimation algorithm and gradient descent method. First, we propose constrained LS based parameter estimation for a Markov chain (MC) model given observation data sets. Next, a gradient descent optimization is utilized for online estimation of a hidden Markov model (HMM), which is bi-linearly constructed by adding an observation variable to a MC model. We achieve numerical simulations to prove its reliability and superiority in which a series of non stationary random signal is applied for the DBN models respectively.

  • Probabilistic Latent Semantic Analysis has many applications in information retrieval and filtering, natural language processing, machine learning from text, and in related areas. In this paper, we propose an algorithm using weighted Probabilistic Latent Semantic Analysis Model to find the contextual phrases and opinions from documents. The traditional keyword search is unable to find the semantic relations of phrases, Overcoming these obstacles requires the development of techniques for automatically classifying semantic relations of phrases. Through experiments, we show that the proposed algorithm works well to discover semantic relations of phrases and presents the semantic relations of phrases to the vector-space model. The proposed algorithm is able to perform a variety of analyses, including such as document classification, online reputation, and collaborative recommendation.

  • Hidden Markov Model is one of the most successful and popular tools for modeling real world sequential data. Real world signals come in a variety of shapes and variabilities, among which temporal and spectral ones are the prime targets that the HMM aims at. A new problem that is gaining increasing attention is characterizing missing observations in incomplete data sequences. They are incomplete in that there are holes or omitted measurements. The standard HMM algorithms have been developed for complete data with a measurements at each regular point in time. This paper presents a modified algorithm for a discrete HMM that allows substantial amount of omissions in the input sequence. Basically it is a variant of Baum-Welch which explicitly considers the case of isolated or a number of omissions in succession. The algorithm has been tested on online handwriting samples expressed in direction codes. An extensive set of experiments show that the HMM so modeled are highly flexible showing a consistent and robust performance regardless of the amount of omissions.
