크랭크샤프트 베어링시스템 설계 연구 (A Study on Design of Crankshaft Bearing System)

  • Two kinds of crankshaft oil supply system which were called continuous and discontinuous oil sup-ply system have recently been adopted in engine developing process. In order to clarify the lubrication characteristics for theses systems, in this paper, the comparison studies on supplied oil temperature, pressure, aspect ratio of bearings, and radial clearance were carried out for the main and the connecting rod bearing using computational fluid dynamic analysis.

  • With the intention of investigating the breakdown properties of oil-immersed transformer oils in temperature range of $20\sim100[^{\circ}C]$, we are made researches AC breakdown in the gap of $500\sim2500[{\mu}m]$. The classification for the physical properties of oil for oil-immersed transformer by FTIR and H-NMR experiments was confirmed to type of mineral oils. As the dependance of breakdown properties due to electrode gap length variation, breakdown voltage was found increasing according to the increase of gap, while dielectric strength was decreasing. As a result the characteristics for AC breakdown, It goes to prove that the breakdown voltage was increased to $90[^{\circ}C]$ but decreased over $90[^{\circ}C]$ in the temperature range. Also, breakdown voltage was found increasing in the increase of gap and the rising of temperature according to Weibull distribution.

  • It is very important to improve the durability and reliability of crankshaft because of conflicting demands for lower fuel consumption and higher power output. In this study, for the crankshaft bearing design, analyses were conducted to determine the lubrication characteristics such as oil flow rate, minimum oil film thickness, friction force and increase of oil temperature at main bearing and connecting rod bearing. Additionally, supplied oil pressure and temperature effects on the bearings were simulated to figure out lubrication characteristics on the bearings. Finally the effects of increasing the bearing width and clearance were introduced on the lubrication characteristics.

  • The oil trap in oil separator is one of the most important characteristics for normal operation of compressor. In this study, oil separation characteristics has been investigated for $CO_2$/PAG mixture using a gravity type of oil separator. The experimental study has been carried out in the range of oil concentration 0 to 5 weight-percent and the mixture temperature range of $0^{\circ}C$ to $15^{\circ}C$. The results obtained indicate that oil separation ratio in oil separator is increased with an increase in the oil concentration and mixture temperature.

쌀과자의 자연발화 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Spontaneous Ignition for Rice Cracker)

  • Spontaneous ignition characteristics of rice cracker were observed by preforming experiments at constant ambient temperature. As the results of the experiments, the critical spontaneous ignition temperature were exponentially decreased with the increase of ambient temperature. Type of combustion of rice cracker are smouldering combustion at low ignition temperature and flame combustion at high temperature. The rice cracker containing pam oil showed lower spontaneous ignition temperature than pure rice cracker because of oxidation heat of pam oil.

  • 탈취온도가 옥수수기름의 냉각시험 및 발연점에 미치는 영향을 측정해 보았다. 탈취온도가 상승할수록 투입되는 탈납유 대비 탈취유의 냉각시험 결과는 현저히 하락하였으며, 26$0^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 그 정도가 극심하여 이는 포화도 증가 및 SU2, S2U, S3형 triglycerides 함량 증가와 상관관계가 있는 것으로 추측되었다. 한편, 발연점은 탈취온도 24$0^{\circ}C$에서 가장 높은 242$^{\circ}C$를 나타내었고, 탈취온도 245~27$0^{\circ}C$의 범위에서는 235~238$^{\circ}C$로 하락하였으며, 이러한 현상은 시료유의 산값과 반비례하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 일반 이화학적 특성, 지방산 조성 등과 함께 냉각시험 및 발연점에서도 고온탈취는 악영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다.

Chemical reconstruction of Castor Oil --Research of Environmentally Friendly Lubricants

  • Natural castor oil was chemically reconstructed to extend the carbon chains by means of iso-reaction so as to improve the rheological behavior, by way of increasing the viscosity index and decreasing the pour point. The rheological and tribological characteristics of the reconstructed castor oil were comparatively investigated with those of the natural castor oil and several other vegetable oils and a mineral oil. The friction and wear test results on a four-ball machine indicate that the chemically reconstructed castor oil has considerably improved rheological and tribological properties as compared with the natural castor oil. It shows a greatly increase viscosity index and largely decreased pour point, which makes it applicable to low temperature lubrication. The chemically reconstructed castor oil even shows better tribological behavior than pentaerythritol ester or di-iso-capryl sebacate. However, it is still needed to increase the oxidation stability of the reconstructed castor oil.

ABS 수지의 저온 열분해에 의한 액화특성 연구 (Study on the Liquefaction Characteristics of ABS Resin in a Low-Temperature Pyrolysis)

  • ABS 수지의 반응온도 및 반응시간에 따른 저온 열분해를 연구하기 위하여 ABS 수지의 저온열분해를 회분식 반응기를 이용하여 상압하에서 $425{\sim}500^{\circ}C$ 영역에서 수행하였다. 열분해 시간은 20~80분까지 하였고 열분해로 생성된 성분은 지식경제부에서 고시한 증류성상온도에 따라 가스, 가솔린, 등유, 경유, 중유로 분류하였다. ABS 수지의 열분해에서 80% 이상의 전환율을 얻기 위해서는 반응온도 $500^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 반응시간 60분 이상을 유지하여야 한다. 최종적으로 생성된 분해유는 가스 중유 > 가솔린 > 경유 > 등유 순으로 나타났으며, 온도와 반응시간이 증가함에 따라 중유 및 경유 성분이 늘어났다.

볼 베어링의 운전조건에 따른 발열 특성 (Heat Generation Characteristics of Ball Bearing for Operating Conditions)

  • The heat generation of the angular contact and the deep groove ball bearing is studied experimentally and numerically. The temperature variation of the inner and outer races and the temperature increase distribution are measured for the shaft rotational speeds, preloads, viscosities of the lubricant and lubrication methods. The measured temperature distributions are used as the input data of the numerical simulation to estimate the heat generation rate at the bearing. The temperatures of the inner and outer race increase more rapidly and approach faster to their steady values as the rotational speed increases. The optimal viscosity of the oil to minimize the heat generation is 8~10 cSt at 4$0^{\circ}C$ when the oil-air lubrication method is adopted. The heat generation of the bearing increases with the rotational speed and depends more on the lubrication method than on the preload variation.

윤활유의 유동특성이 기관 저어널 베어링의 유막두께에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Oil Rheology on Film Thickness in Engine Journal Bearing)

  • Effect of Newtonian and non-Newtonian oils on minimum ol film thickness in engine journal bearing were investigated at various oil viscosities. The influence of oil viscosity and engine operating conditions on minimum oil film thickness of main bearing and con-rod bearing was examined. Minimum oil film thickness for Newtonian oils increased uniformly with kinematic viscosity. But the correlation between kinematic viscosity and minimum oil film thickness was very poor for non-Newtonian oils. According to the straight-line regression analysis for non-Newtonian oils, high temperature high shear viscosity at 1 $1{\times}10^6Sec^{-1}$, $150^{\circ}C$ increase the coefficient of determination from 0.41 to 0.77. Con-rod bearing showed better correlation between minimum oil film thickness and engine operating conditions than main bearing.
