Methods: 4 patients who had Bell's palsy during pregnancy were treated with Sasang constitutional prescriptions. After treatments we evaluated the effects by House-Brackmann facial nerve grading system. Results: As a result, the clinical symptoms of Bell's palsy during pregnancy were improved. Conclusions: This case studies show that Sasang constitutional method can be effectively used on Bell's palsy during pregnancy. Especially the diagnostic results by using Diagnosis System of Oriental Medicine (DSOM) revealed that some of patients were in a very weak condition. We could apply these results to choose prescription and get good therapeutic effects.

Conclusion : 1. the questionnaires that can measure objectively menstrual quantity and determine quantity index was high a correlation coefficient therefore those were used Method of Menstrual Quantity(here after MMQ) calculation. Those were added and averaged. 2. We examined correlation of calculated MMQ and women's questionnaires who has the menses therefore we got 0.30~0.47 correlation. 3. MMQ 1~3(hypomenorrhea) was 39 persons 3.19%, MMQ 4~6(normal menorrhea) was 1050 persons 85.85% and MMQ 7~10(hypermenorrhea) was 134 persons 10.96%. MMQ 4 tended to be little and MMQ 6 tended to be much. 4. MMQ confidence was high as 82% comparatively so we thought MMQ was appropriate as the measured method of menstrual quantity.

  • Objectives: This study attempted to provide prescriptions that can be used according to the classification of menopausal disorders in order to increase the clinical utilization of CaPSPI (Diagnostic System for Climacteric and Postmenopausal Syndrome Pattern Identification). Methods: Delphi method survey was conducted for expert consensus on the Pattern Identification that could be used for each prescription by selecting frequent prescriptions based on the literature researched on the prescription of Korean medicine used for women with menopausal disorders. 11 experts participated in the questionnaire for posterity and 7 experts for sasang constitution. The survey was divided into the main prescription that can be mainly used for the patterns and the minor prescription that can be used although the suitability is somewhat low. Expert consensus was obtained through the second survey, and the pattern classification of prescriptions that were not confirmed here was confirmed through a face-to-face meeting. Results: There were 56 prescriptions mainly used for treatment for menopause, 45 for posterity and 11 for Sasang constitution. There were 69 identifications of 45 posterity prescriptions and 17 classifications of 11 Sasang constitutional prescriptions including major and minor patterns. By pattern identifications, the number of major/minor prescriptions was as follows. 肝鬱 14/5, 腎陰虛 8/2, 腎陽虛 4/1, 肝腎陰虛 2/7, 腎陰陽兩虛 3/1, 心腎不交 6/3, 心脾兩虛 15/2, 心火 7/6. Conclusions: In the future, by accumulating and analyzing the data on the diagnosis and treatment using CaPSPI, the clinical status of Korean medicine for menopausal disorders can be reviewed, and it can be used as the basis for the clinical practice guidelines for menopausal disorders. In addition, it is thought that analyzing the results of the diagnosis of pattern identifications and the prescription of Sasang constitution can be helpful in research on the posterity and Sasang constitution.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of dysmenorrhea patients with the Inbody test results by Sasang constitutions. Methods: The data from the 541 participants were collected using a structured measurement of menstrual pain. Based on the survey responses, we had 329 women with dysmenorrhea as the test group and 212 women without dysmenorrhea as the control group. The clinical trials subjects were asked to respond to another questionnaire for identifying their constitutional types and undergo Inbody test. Results: The result of a comparison of the test and control groups showed that the DSOM test showed that the scores of blood deficiency, qi stagnation, blood stasis and phlegm were significantly higher in dysmenorrhea. The result of the taeumin's test groups showed that the DSOM test showed that the scores of heat were significantly higher. For the Sasang constitution, there is a difference on the cause of the outbreak. Taeumin from blood deficiency, blood stasis, dampness, heart, kidney, phlegm and lung is associated with dysmenorrhea. Soeumin from blood deficiency, qi stagnation, blood stasis, liver, heart, spleen and phlegm is associated with dysmenorrhea. The ratio of overweight of taeumin was low in blood deficiency and yin deficiency. The ratio of lowweight of soeumin was high in heat. Conclusions: The DSOM test showed that the scores of blood deficiency, qi stagnation, blood stasis and phlegm were significantly higher in dysmenorrhea.

The lesser yang person with menstrual irregularities was no relevance to the body fat percentage. The greater yin person with menstrual irregularities was especially lacking in body fat mass and body fat percentage. The lesser yin person with menstrual irregularities was poor in body fat mass. According to the study, Taeumin female high school students usually needed to higher body fat than a general standard. It seems to be needed more body fat and weight than modern standards in period of poor sexuality for having a normal menorrhea especially Taeumin. It will take some continuing study that BMI standards should be changed or not on the Sasang constitutions.

  • Objectives: It is a statistical analysis study to examine the results of CaPSPI (Diagnostic System for Climacteric and Postmenopausal Syndrome Pattern Identification), developed for objective defecation of climacteric and postmenopausal syndrome. Methods: Total 341 people's questionnaire responses were statistically analyzed. 275 people involved in developing CaPSPI 2018 (E) and 146 people involved in 2019-2020 study of research1,3). Results: The frequency of diagnosis for examination was the highest at liver depression, 93.8% for 320 times, the lowest at heartheat, 62.8% for 214 times. The frequency of treatment for examination was the highest at liver depression, 54.3% for 185 times, and the lowest at dual deficiency of heart-spleen, 16.7% for 57 times. The diagnosis ratio was the lowest at dual deficiency of heart-spleen, 19.72%, and the highest at liver depression, 57.81%. As a result of comparing these diagnoses with the Kupperman's index, all showed significant differences. As a result of comparing these disease elements, all showed significant differences. The correlation between diagnosis and dialectic elements was found to have similar results with the korean medical pathology, and in 7 dialectics except for heartheat, the treatment version was more severe or progressing to perjury than for examination.
