중년 여성 대상의 지역사회 참여형 비만 중재 프로그램의 효과 (Effects of Community Based Participatory Obesity Intervention Program in Middle-Aged Women)

  • Purpose: The aim of the study was to determine the effects of a community based participatory program in obese middle-aged women. Methods: One-group pretest-posttest design was used. The subjects were 35 middle-aged women. Data were collected at public health centers in Chungcheongnam-Do from March to May, 2013. To evaluate the effect of the program, physiological indexes(body mass index, skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass, visceral fat area) and health behavior indexes(dietary practice guidelines score, moderate physical activity, drinking frequency) were measured. Analysis was performed using a Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: After the program, physiological indexes (BMI, BFM, SMM, VFA) and health behavior indexes (dietary guidelines scores, frequency of physical activity, drinking frequency) were significantly improved. Conclusion: The community based participatory obesity program by public health centers is considered to be effective. Therefore, greater effort is needed for better participatory program development of several health promoting fields, and more research is needed in order to examine a continuous effect.

제주지역 성인 여성들의 연령별 체지방율의 차이와 열량 섭취 및 소비량에 관한 조사연구 (A Study of Variations in the Percentage of Body Fat, Energy Intake, and Expenditure, Based on Adult Women by Age on Cheju Island, Korea)

  • The purpose of this paper is to determine the percentage of body fat by measurement of skin-fold thickness of the triceps and the subscapular area to investigate the relationship between the daily energy intake and expenditure among obese women and nonobese women based on the percentage of body fat and age. This survey included 422 females in Cheju. 1) The age distribution of the 422 females surveyed was : 26.8% were in their 20's, 20.6% in their 30's, 21.3% in their 40's, 19.0% in their 50's and 12.3% were above 60 years of age. The 422 females consisted consisted of 78% housewives, 12.8% college student and 9.2% single working women. 2) The average height and weight of the surveyed women were respecitively 159.0$\pm$4.2cm and 56.0$\pm$7.2kg, the percentage of body fat of the surveyed women was 24.8$\pm$9.8%, and the BMI of those surveyed was 22.7$\pm$2.7. If higher than 30% body fat was defined as being obese, 15.6% of the surveyed women were assessed to be obese. 3) Total daily food consumption and energy intake of the group of women aged 60 and older was significantly small. Food consumption and nutrient intake of obese women was greater than that of the nonobese group, but not significant. Carbohydrate intake of the obese group in their 40's was significantly higher than the nonobese group. Total food consumption, energy and carbohydrate intake of the obese group in their 50's was significantly higher than the nonobese group. Vegetable intake of the obese group in their 60's and older was significantly higher than the nonobese group. 4) The total time of physiological activity of women aged 60 and older was significantly higher than for the other age groups and the total work time was significantly lower. The total work time of women in their 20's was not lower than the other groups. Considering the low energy expenditure of physical activity for women in their 20's, they appeared to have light activity. However, there was not a significant difference in the physical activity time among middle aged women groups(from 30 to 50). The entire energy expenditure of the obese group was greater than the nonobese group. However, the energy expenditure per body weight in the obese group was significantly less than that of the nonobese group in terms of the basal metabolic rate in consideration of the fat free mass. 5) There was a positive correlation between the percentage of body fat and the factors of age, sleeping time, total time of physiological activity, housework time, time spent watching TV, energy expenditure, energy intake, carbohydrate and cereal consumption. On the other hand, the percentage of body fat was negatively correlated with energy expenditure per body weight based on the basal metabolic rate in consideration of the free mass.

불안정지지면과 안정지지면에서의 발목균형훈련이 비만중년여성의 고유수용성감각, 균형 및 근력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Ankle Balance Training on Unstable and Stable Surface on Proprioception, Balance and Muscle Strength in Obese Middle-Aged Woman)

  • 본 연구는 지지면에 따른 발목균형훈련이 비만중년여성의 고유수용성감각, 균형 및 근력 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구에 동의한 중년여성 30명중 불안정한 지지면에서 훈련을 시행한 실험군I의 15명과 안정 지지면에서 훈련을 시행한 실험군II의 15명에게 총 6주간 매회 30분씩 훈련하였다. 훈련효과를 알아보기 위해 훈련 전 고유수용성은 Dualer IQ 디지털 경사계로 검사를 시행하였고 균형은 BT4로 검사하고 근력은 도수근력검사기로 검사를 하고 훈련 후 다시 재측정하였다. 이에 실험군I,II 모두 고유수용, 균형, 근력검사에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이에 불안정한 지지면과 안정된 지지면에서의 발목균형운동은 비만중년여성의 고유수용성, 균형, 근력이 향상되는 프로그램이다.

50-69세의 중장년 성인여성을 위한 상반신 체형분석 (Upper Body Type Analysis for Middle-aged Women Aged 50-69 Years)

  • This study aims to provide upper body shape information by analyzing the measurement data of middle-aged women aged 50-69, including baby boomers, whose economic power and activity have improved compared to the previous generations. In order to provide accurate upper body shape information by analyzing the body type using the 8th Size Korea measurement data, body shapes were classified through factor and cluster analysis using 75 direct measurement items. Upper body type was classified according to the factors, and the associated characteristics were analyzed. As a result of the comparative analysis of the upper body measurements from the 4th to the 8th Size Korea measurement, it was found that in the height item, both the waist height and the hip height increased, making the overall height greater and the leg length longer. The body circumference items tended to increase, but were found to decrease significantly in the 8th Size Korea (2021) measurement. Middle-aged women were classified using five factors. Factor 1 was the upper body obesity factor, and Factor 2 was the trunk vertical factor. Factor 3 was the width of the back shoulder, Factor 4 was the vertical factor behind the back, and Factor 5 was the length factor of the front garment composition. Middle-aged women were classified into four body types through cluster analysis. Type 1 is relatively small and skinny, Type 2 has the most obese upper body and developed back shoulders, and Type 3 is skinny and has a long back and short front. In Type 4, the upper body was relatively long and the shoulders were narrow.

복합트레이닝이 중년비만여성의 심혈관질환 위험인자에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Complex Training on Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Middle Aged Obese Women)

  • 본 연구는 부산광역시에 거주하고 있는 비만중년여성(체지방률 30% 이상, BMI $25\;kg/m^2$ 이상) 16명을 대상으로 12주간 복합트레이닝 전 후에 나타나는 신체특성, 신체조성, 혈청지질과 심혈관질환 위험인자에 어떠한 변화가 나타나는지 규명하여 그 기초자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 결과로는: 1) 12주 복합트레이닝 후 신체특성에서 체중, BMI, WHR는 각각 유의하게 감소한 것으로 나타났고, 수축기 확장기 혈압이 각각 증가하였으나 유의한 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 2) 12주 복합트레이닝 후 신체조성에서 체지방량, 체지방률은 유의하게 감소하였으며, 제지방량은 유의하게 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 3) 12주 복합트레이닝 후 혈청지질에서 TC, TG, LDL-C는 유의하게 감소하였고 HDL-C 증가하였으나 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 4) 12주 복합트레이닝 후 심혈관질환 위험인자의 변화는 인슐린, 염증유발 인자인 TNF-$\alpha$가 각각 유의하게 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 12주간의 복합트레이닝 적용이 중년비만여성들의 심혈관질환 위험인자의 변화에 긍정적인 변화를 보였으나, 비만으로 인해 나타나는 각종 현대병을 예방하기 위한 운동처방을 하기 위해서는 보다 더 구체적이고, 체계적인 연구가 계속 되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

  • 본 연구는 다양한 강도의 자전거 운동이 비만 중년 여성의 신체구성, 혈중지질 및 지방대사에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보았다. 35~55세의 비만중년여성 17명을 대상으로 저강도 그룹 5명, 중강도 그룹 6명, 고강도 그룹 6명으로 무선 배정하여 주 3회(월, 수, 금) 1일 20~50분의 다양한 강도별 자전거운동이 신체구성과 혈중지질, 지방대사에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 비교·분석한 결과, 신체구성의 변화에서는 그룹 간 유의한 차이를 나타나지 않았으며, 혈중지질의 변화에서 글루코스의 그룹별 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 지방대사의 변화에서 그룹별 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았으며, 또한 시기, 시기×집단의 상호작용 효과에서도 모두 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 이상의 내용을 종합하면 통계적으로 유의미한 효과를 나타내지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 다양한 각도에서 관련 전공 분야의 연구와 개선을 위한 기초적인 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

Circuit Training이 비만중년여성의 여성호르몬, 혈중지질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Circuit Training on Estrogen Hormone, Serum Lipids in Obese Middle-aged Women)

  • This study is supposed to offer data related to whether circulation training(aerobic and anaerobic exercise) focused on overweight women has positive effects on reducing fat and increasing muscles for middle-aged women. This study aims to investigate how the circulation training effect overweight middle-aged women's female hormone, blood lipid, which offers basic data of exercise program to keep the overweight middle-aged women healthy. Participants for the study are 30 to 45-year-women who were willing to take part in a M Sports Diet Program in G gu, B metropolitan city, did not have any disease. They were 29 overweight women and showed more than 30% of body fat percentage. Female hormone, blood lipid were measured twice before and in 12 weeks after exercise. The results obtained from this study are given as in the following. Although estrogen has significantly increased after the circulation training, there was no meaningful difference from the control group. After 12-weeks-circulation training, even though there were no meaningful differences. before the training, the circulation training group was significantly higher than the control group. Although TC has significantly decreased after the circulation training, there was no meaningful difference from the control group. the circulation training group was significantly lower than the control group. Even though TG was no significantly decreased after the circulation training, there was no significantly difference from the control group. the circulation training group was significantly lower than the control group. Even though HDL-C has significantly increased after the circulation training, there was no meaningful difference from the control group. the circulation training group was significantly higher than the control group. Even though LDL-C has significantly decreased after the circulation training, there was no significantly difference from the control group. the circulation training group was significantly lower than the control group.

하타요가 운동이 폐경기 비만중년여성의 렙틴농도와 대사증후군 인자에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Hatha Yoga Exercise on Serum Leptin and Metabolic Syndrome Factors in Menopause Obese Middle-Aged Women)

  • 본 연구는 체지방률이 35% 이상인 폐경기 비만중년여성 26명을 대상으로 하타요가 운동이 체조성과 렙틴 및 대사증후군관련인자에 미치는 영향과 렙틴에 영향을 미치는 대사증후군인자들을 규명하기 위하여 하타요가 운동을 16주간 실시한 후 운동전과 후의 체조성, 렙틴 및 대사증후군인자를 측정하여 비교분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 운동 후에 하타요가집단에서 체중, 체지방률, 체질량지수, 허리둘레, 허리엉덩이둘레비 및 내장지방면적이 유의하게 감소하였고, 골격근량(SMM)은 증가하였다. 고밀도지단백 콜레스테롤(HDL-C)은 유의하게 증가하였고, 렙틴, 총콜레스테롤(TC), 중성지방(TG), 저밀도지단백 콜레스테롤(LDL-C), 인슐린, 글루코스 및 인슐린저항성지수(HOMA-IR)는 유의하게 감소하였으며, 하타요가집단의 렙틴에 영향을 미치는 대사증후군인자는 HDL-C로 나타났다. 이상과 같이 하타요가운동으로 체지방의 감량이 렙틴저항성을 개선하여 렙틴의 감소와 대사증후군인자의 개선으로 생활습관병을 예방하는 데 효과가 있을 것으로 사료된다.

중년 여성의 식사섭취 상태와 갱년기 증상 관련 요인 분석 (The Analysis of the Dietary Factors Related to Climacteric Symptoms in Middle-aged Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the dietary intakes in middle-aged women(pre and postmenopausal) and relation to climacteric symptoms. We conducted the anthropometric measurements, climacteric symptoms survey, and dietary intake to assess the nutrient intakes. Also, dietary quality indices were evaluated. The subjects, over 40 years old, were 168 middle aged women(pre=74, postmenopausal=94), mean age was $48.9{\pm}3.6yr$. The anthropometric measurements showed that 59% of subjects were overweight and obese. Climacteric symptoms that were answered 'yes' in 50% plus in the subjects, were dry eyes, forgetfulness, difficult concentration, large joint pain(shoulder), fatique, backache, dry skin, joint pain(ankle and knee), dry mouth, dizziness, depression and lonesomeness, snore, morning stiffness, and hot flash. Some symptoms showed significant difference between pre and postmenopausal groups. The average energy intake was 1602.1 Kcal, which was 82% of the Korean EER. The subjects had lower vitamin A, riboflavin, folic acid, Fe, Zn and Ca intake than Korean RI. The lowest nutrient intake was Ca. The mean of food intake was 1294.2 g and MAR of diet quality indices was 0.83. In relation to dietary factors with climacteric symptoms, significant correlations have been found between total protein, animal protein, lipid, cholesterol and niacin intake and 'fatique', energy, carbohydrate, thiamin, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin C, Na, K and Fe intake and 'dry skin', Ca intake and 'difficult concentration'. Our results indicate that dietary factors(food and nutrients intake, INQ, NAR, MAR) may effect the prevention and reduction of some climacteric symptoms in middle aged women.

중년여성의 신체부위 인지유형에 따른 신체만족도와 착의 의복 스타일 (Body Cathexis and Actual Clothing Styles of Middle-aged Women According to Perception of Their Body)

  • This study is designed for improving wearing styles for middle-aged women who are in unsatisfactory body types and also providing the basic information about the suitable clothing designs for them. This study focuses on what kinds of body types they perceive, what the differences are between the perception of their body types and the real ones, and how the actual clothing styles can be affected by those perceived body types. This study is based on the survey of the perception of body types, the clothing styles, and the satisfaction level of body cathexis, while measuring body size of each person responded. The data were analyzed by Mean, ANOVA, Duncan-test of SPSS Win. (ver 10.1)program. The results are as follows: 1. The perception of their body types can be categorized into three clusters, the obesity, the arm & leg obesity, the slender. 2. By and large, Middle-aged women perceive their body types exactly what they we. However, they show a relatively subjective view on the upper arm girth, ankle girth, and arm length 3. The abdomen is at the lowest satisfactory part in body cathexis for the entire groups responded, and there are some differences among the perception of their body types in whole body silhouette and trunk. 4. Middle-aged women who perceive themselves as a bit slender show a tendency of having tight and revealing clothing styles, while the obese who perceived themselves wouldn't take them as appropriate dresses.
