엽과비 조절이 무가온 하우스 하례조생 감귤의 비대 및 과실품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Regulation of Leaf to Fruit Ratio on the Fruit Growth and Quality of 'Haryejosaeng' Satsuma Mandarin in Non-Heated Plastic Film House)

  • BACKGROUND: Recently, the need for a method to cultivate 'Haryejosaeng' Satsuma mandarin has been increasing. However, there is limited information available as this is a new Satsuma mandarin cultivar, which was bred by the RDA in 2004. Many farmers who cultivate this cultivar follow the cultivation method similar to that used for 'Miyagawa' Satsuma mandarin, and suffer low production of optimum-sized fruits. METHODS AND RESULTS: This study was conducted to find out the optimum ratio of leaf-to-fruit for the stable production of high quality 'Haryejosaeng' Satsuma mandarin fruits in a non-heated plastic film house. Seven-year-old 'Haryejosaeng' Satsuma mandarin trees were used in the study. Before the treatment, the leaf-to-fruit ratio ranged from 5.7 to 17.9. The treatments included 10, 20, 30, and 40 leaves per fruit. The fruits were removed if over fruiting was observed at day 60 after full bloom. We investigated the fruit size and quality on the day of harvest. Flowering and fruiting patterns in each treatment were recorded for the following year. In the experiments, the flower-to-leaf ratio was 1.12 to 1.74. As the leaf-to-fruit ratio decreased, the fruit size and weight also decreased. Contrarily, the higher the ratio of leaf-to-fruit, the higher fruit size and weight were. It was noted that the ratio of 20:1 was ideal to produce the M grade optimum-sized Satsuma mandarin fruits on the day of harvest. However, higher ratio might result in fruits weighting above 100 g. There was no difference among the treatments in terms of fruit quality, such as total soluble solid contents, titratable acid, and color. In the subsequent years, flowering and fruiting in the treatments were lowered when the leaf number per fruit was 10, but they were improved when the leaf number per fruit was above 20. CONCLUSION: Based on the above results, the optimum ratio of leaf-to-fruit was found to be 20:1 for flowering and fruiting of 'Haryejosaeng' Satsuma mandarin. It is important that optimum ratio of leaf-to-fruit is set as a standard to produce good grade and quality of 'Haryejosaeng' Satsuma mandarin fruits.

  • 고랭지 착색단고추 여름재배시 착과 증대 및 품질향상을 위하여 호박벌을 이용한 수정증대 효과에 대하여 검토하였다. 호박벌에 의하여 처리기간 동안 착과수의 증가는 있었으나 재배기간의 총 수량에서는 무처리와 비교하여 차이가 없었다. 과실의 종자수는 무처리에 비해 호박벌 처리에서 7.3%가 증가되었으나 배꼽썩음과 발생은 높았다. 과중의 분포 비율이 호박벌 처리에 의하여 SS 사이즈는 감소하고 L 사이즈가 증가하여 수출 규격품율이 향상되었다. 따라서 고랭지 여름재배시 착과증진을 위한 호박벌 처리는 착과율을 높이고 과실의 종자수를 증가시켜 수출 규격품율을 높이는 등 고품질 생산에 효과적이었으며 배꼽썩음과 방지에 대한 검토가 추후 필요할 것으로 판단되었다.

수박의 착과절위가 종자 발아 및 유묘활력에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Fruit Set Internode on Seed Germination and Seedling Vigor in Watermelon)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fruit set internode on the germination of watermelon seeds. Generally fruits setted in higher than 20 internode were high percent of germination, fruit setted in low internode(5-10) is low. The higher fruit-set internode, fruit weight was significantly increased, but 1,000 seed weight was decreased the more fruit set internode. However number of seed was about 300 seeds irrespective of fruit-set internode. Investigating viability of seed by BP test, general percent germination was recorded highest at 5 flower cluster above 20 internode of fruit-set internode. In contrast, condition of fruit setted on 3, 4, 6 flower cluster were high percent of germination, regarded as unnormal germination not to be as normal seedling by 2~3%. Seed harvested at 5 flower-cluster had high viability on hypocotyl height and diameter of seedling through early growth test, but were not significant. Therefore 5 flower-cluster was optimum fruit-set internode to obtain high-quality seed.

제1인산칼륨 엽면살포가 플라스틱하우스에서 재배된 하우스온주밀감의 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Foliar Spray of Monopotassium Phosphate (MPP) on the Fruit Quality of Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc. cv. Miyagawas wase) in the Plastic Greenhouse)

  • 본 시험은 플라스틱하우스에서 재배된 하우스온주밀감의 품질향상(착색, 증당, 감산)을 기하고자 제1인산칼륨을 엽면살포하여 품질조사를 하였다. 과피의 착색도 a는 제1인산륨 살포회수가 많아질수록 경시적으로 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으나 수확기에 가까울수록 인산칼륨 살포에 의해 더 증가되지 않았다. 포도당은 인산칼륨 살포회수가 많아질수록 증가되었고 또한 과당도 이와 유사한 경향ㅇ르 나타내고 있다. 포도당과 과당을 합한 환원다은 인산칼륨 살포회수를 많이 할수록 증가되는 경향이 뚜렷하여 무처리에 비해 5회 살포구 이상에서는 0.32~0.41%.mL$^{-1}$-juice가 증가되었으며, 자당함량에서도 인산칼륨 살포회수가 많아질수록 증가되는 경향을 보였으나 통계적 유의치는 인정되지 안았다. 총당함량에서는 인산칼륨 살포회수에 따른 효과가 있어서 인산칼륨 살포회수가 많아질수록 총당함량이 증가되는 경향이었다. 당도는 인산칼륨 살포회수가 많아질수록 증가정도는 미미하나 5회 살포구 까지는 증가되는 경향을 나타내어 무처리에 비해서 0.93$^{\circ}$Bx 증가되었다. 산도는 무처리에 비해 낮았지만 살포회수간에는 뚜렷한 차이가 없었다.

결과지 길이에 따른 복숭아 '수미'의 신초 생장 및 과실 특성 (Shoot Growth and Fruit Characteristics of 'Soomee' Peach according to Length of Fruit Bearing Branch)

  • 국내에서 육성된 복숭아인 '수미'의 고품질 과실을 생산을 하는데 적합한 결과지 길이를 선발하기 위하여 결과지 길이와 신초 및 과실 특성들과의 상관성을 분석하였다. 결과지의 길이와 직경은 각각 평균 26.1cm와 6.1mm이었고, 결과지 당 신초 및 잎 수는 각각 평균 3.2개와 38.6장이었다. 그리고 변이계수는 이들 중 신초 및 잎 수에서 매우 높았다. 조사된 결과지에서 생산된 과실 무게는 평균 298.6g, 과실 당도는 12.2Brix였고, 변이계수는 과실 무게에서 18.0%로 당도보다 높았다. 나무 당 10-20cm와 20-30cm 길이의 결과지가 각각 27.1%와 25.4% 분포함으로서 단 중과지의 비율이 50% 이상이었다. 그리고 나무 당 250-350g과 11.0-13.0Brix의 과실이 각각 68.6%와 74.0% 분포하였다. 조사된 특성 간 상관분석 결과, 과실 무게와 결과지 당 신초 수는 결과지 길이의 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 과실 무게와는 $y=-0.0482x^2+2.4512x+277.36$의 관계를 나타내어 최대 과실 무게를 생산하는 결과지의 길이는 25.4cm로 분석되었다. 따라서 복숭아 '수미'의 결과지 길이는 20-30cm 정도가 적합할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 황사가 과수의 착과와 과실품질에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 황사 발원지에서 채취한 황토(losses)를 이용하였다. 우리나라에서 포집된 황사와 황사발원지에서 채취한 황토의 화학적 특성을 분석한 결과, 우리나라 평균 밭토양보다 알칼리성이 강하고, 유기물 함량이 높았으며 다량의 치환성 양이온 중 Ca의 함량이 높은 수준이었다. 사과, 배, 복숭아 3 과종의 개화기에 황토를 처리한 결과, 과총 착과율과 과실 당 종자수에서 무처리와 차이가 없었으며, 적숙기에 수확한 과실의 과중, 당도, 과형에서도 처리 간에 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 그러나 본 연구에서는 황사 대신 황토를 처리하였고, 개화기에 인위적으로 살포한 것으로서 매우 제한적인 결과이며, 실제 황사의 발생빈도, 지속시간, 밀도 그리고 황사 발생기간의 기상조건에 따라 과수의 결실과 과실특성에 줄 수 있는 영향이 달라질 수 도 있을 것으로 생각된다. 또한 황사 내에 포함된 각종 세균, 곰팡이, 미생물의 영향은 본 실험에서 고려하지 못하였다.

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of applying levels of Bestamin, animal amino acid, on growth and quality of hot pepper and physicochemical properties of soil. Treatment was given with 200, 400, 800, 1600kg per 10a to control of Bestamin, difference of physicochemical properties was lower than Bestamin, and $P_2O_5$ seems to be reduced, also $K^+$, $Ca^{++}$ were obviously low compared to the control. The content of $NO_{3-}N$ was low compared to control at the Bestamin treated plot. Plant height was longest at 800 treatment and main stem length, main stem weigh and the number of leaves were significantly different with 400 and 800 treatment. No difference was found among the fruit weight, length, diameter in first harvest, but there was significantly different at control of 2nd, 3rd harvest and more increased than 400 and 800 treatment. Fruit weight per plant was the heaviest at 400 and 800 treatment, and the number of fruit was no difference at red pepper but increased with 400 and 800 at green pepper, and yield per 10a was significantly increased to 4503.6kg and 4582.5kg, respectively. Nitrogen in mesophyll accumulation content was obviously reduced at Bestamin treatment compared to control, and amino acid was reduced with control.

  • A sequential sub-cellular study of the epicarp of Nerium indicum has been performed. Outer epidermis of the ovary wall is covered externally with a thin cuticle. Cytoplasm possesses most of the cell organelles in the ovary stage itself. Outermost zone of the pericarp is the epicarp, developing from the outer epidermis. In the developing fruit, cell organelles are found with its maximum intensity. In mature fruit, the epicarp becomes multilayered due to additional development of few collenchymatous cells close to the outermost layer. Epicarpic cell possesses large central vacuole, around which a thin layer of cytoplasm is present. Number of cell organelles are considerably reduced in the mature fruit. In the ovary stage starch grains are electron transparent, while in the mature fruit it is fruit it is electron transluscent.

가지 F1세대의 잡종강세 정도 (Degree of Heterosis and Heterobeltiosis in F1 Hybrids of Eggplant)

  • 가지 육종을 위한 기초 자료를 얻고자 9품종을 교잡하여 $F_l$ 세대의 11개 조합을 재료로 각 형질들의 측정치로서 우성의 정도와 잡종강세를 평가하였다. $F_l$세대의 잡종강세는 초장, 경경, 과중, 엽장, 엽폭, 주당과수 등이 초우성으로 유전되었다. 그리고 과장과 과경은 불완전 우성으로 유전되었다. Heterosis의 정도는 초장, 경경, 과중, 과장, 과경, 엽장, 엽폭, 주당과수 등 8개 형질 모두에서 정(+)의 강세를 보였다. Heterobeltiosis의 정도는 초장만이 정(+)의 강세를 보였고, 과경, 엽폭, 엽장, 과중, 주당과수, 과장, 경경은 부(-)의 잡종강세를 보였다

조기낙엽이 참다래 '헤이워드' 과실 바람들이와 품질에 미치는 영향 (Fruit Quality and Fruit Locule Air Hole of Kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa cv. Hayward) Affected by Early Defoliation)

  • BACKGROUND: The fruit quality and flowering characteristics of Kiwifruit (A. deliciosa cv. Hayward) in the following year is known to be affected by the extent and timing of defoliation of the current year. In korea, the production of kiwi, which is a perennial, straggling deciduous warm-temperate fruit, is often restricted by wind damage due to typhoons resulting to defoliation at the middle season of its growing period. In this paper, we report the effect of the different timing of defoliation and severities at the current season to the kiwifruit quality. METHODS AND RESULTS: Twenty seven-year-old 'Hayward' trees grown under polyethylene film rain-shelter were defoliated in different days from August to September at seven day-intervals. In each day, 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100% of leaves were removed from the trees. Fruits from each treatment were classified into four floating types (L: lying in bottom, S: standing on bottom, F: floating and SF: floating at the surface of water) by submerging them into tap water. Defoliation of kiwifruit trees in August and September caused air holes in locules of inner pericarp. Increased number of air hole in locules of a fruit was observed in floating types F and SF, and most of the air holes were located in stem end. The defoliation of trees in August significantly reduced the ratio of L-floating type fruits, which have the least number of locule air holes. The extent of defoliation also affected the distribution of the four types, the more leaves removed, the less L-floating type fruits harvested. The weight of fruits from trees defoliated in August was lower than that of fruits from September. Soluble solids content decreased as the number of locule air holes increased. Negative correlations were observed between the extent of defoliation and the weight and soluble solids content of fruits. CONCLUSION: Early defoliation effect on kiwifruit locule air hole occurrence and fruit quality were more severe in August than in September. And also if the defoliation severity is over 25%, severe fruit quality reduction expected to happen due to increase of fruit locule air hole in the inner pericarp.
