트랜스퓨터를 이용한 유안영속해석의 병렬계산 (A Parallel Computation of Finite Element Analysis on a Transputer System)

  • This paper presents a parallel algorithm for the finite element analysis using relatively inexpensive transputer parallel system. The substructure method, which is highly parallel in nature, is used to improve the parallel computing efficiency by splitting up the whole structure into substructures. The proposed algorithm is applied to a simple two-dimensional magnetostatic problem. It is found that the more the number of transputer is increased, the more the total computation time is reduced. And the computational efficiency becomes better as the number of internal boundary nodes becomes smaller.

결정론적인 소수 생성에 관한 연구 (A Deterministic Method of Large Prime Number Generation)

  • 비대칭 암호 알고리즘을 설계하는 데 있어서 매우 큰 소수를 구하는 것은 필수적이다. 그러나 지금까지는 결정론적인(deterministic) 큰 소수를 발견하기는 매우 어려웠기 때문에, 일반적으로 확률적으로 소수일 가능성이 높은 의사소수(psedoprime)를 비대칭 암호 알고리즘에서 사용하였다. 이 논문에서 결정론적인 소수 생성 방법을 제안하며, 제안된 방법에 의해 생성된 소수는 증명이 가능한 100% 정확한 소수이다. 또한 이 방법에 의해 생성된 소수는 신뢰성, 비도, 원시원소(primitive element)생성 능력 등을 보장한다.

  • This paper presents a new magneto-thermal finite element analysis for predicting the temperature rise of the EHV GIS busbar. Joule's heat due to current flowing in the main conductor and the heat due to the induced eddy current in the tank are calculated by the magnetic field analysis. And these heats are used as the input data to predict the temperature rise for the thermal analysis. However, it is not easy to apply the heat-transfer coefficients on the boundaries for the thermal analysis. In this paper, the heat-transfer coefficients on the boundaries are analytically calculated by applying the Nusselt number considering material constant and model geometry for the natural convection. The temperature distribution in the busbar by coupled magneto-thermal finite element analysis shows good agreement with the experimental data.

산림보호지역의 관리효과성 평가지표 개발 연구 (Management Effectiveness Evaluation (MEE) Indicators Development in Protected Forest Areas)

  • In order to develop the indicators which evaluate the management effectiveness for the protected forest areas in Korea, candidate indicators were listed based on literature and experts interviews, then questionnaire survey on the experts were conducted. 5 elements of context, planning, input, process, output and outcome and 32 indicators were selected. Context element includes 6 indicators of 1) documentation and assessment of values; 2) documentation and assessment of threats, 3) influence of government policy, 4) related regulations, 5) community cooperation and 6) the structure of management organization. 6 indicators of Planning element were 1) the management objective, 2) protected area design, 3) protected area size and number, 4) representation, 5) standards and categories and 6) management planning. Input element of 3 indicators were 1) management staff, 2) funding, 3) establishment and application of information. Process element were consisted of 1) governance, 2) management guidelines, 3) human resource management, 4) law enforcement, 5) eco-management, 6) disaster management, 7) education program and 8) research and monitoring. The element of outputs and outcomes were 1) accomplishment of plan, 2) accomplishment of program, 3) private land management, 4) threats change, 5) biodiversity change, 6) ecosystem health and vitality, 7) impact on community, 8) international management level and 9) visitors' satisfaction and variation in civil compliant. It is recommended to have further research on evaluation methods development by applying those above developed indicators for the protected forest areas to ensure the practicality of the indicators.

  • This study aims at the improvement on the process and die set required for forming of flanged two-piece thrust engine bearings form laminated sheet blanks. Several suggestions are made to reduce the number of forming or subsequent machining processes or to improve the dimensional precision of formed products. The results of finite element analysis show the design suggested in this study are useful and applicable to the forming process of flanged bearings.

  • The finite leement method is a effetive analysis technique for obtaining approximate solutions of continuum problems with boundary conditions. This paper deals with the programming for the application of this method and the preciser analysis of the magnetic field in the air gap of the linear stepper motor by the method. The finite element analysis based on the variational principle is adopted and the computer program for reducing input data and a large number of the memory words required by the system matrix is presented. The 2-dimensional analysis of the air gap is made and several cases according to varying the position are considered.

  • Video segmentation is an essential part in region-based video coding and any other fields of the video processing. Among lots of methods proposed so far, the watershed method in which the region growing is performed for the gradient image can produce well-partitioned regions globally without any influence on local noise and extracts accurate boundaries. But, it generates a great number of small regions, which we call over segmentation problem. Therefore we proposes image segmentation improvement by selective application structuring element of mathematical morphology.

기하학적 비선형 해석을 위한 곡면 2차 삼각형 쉘 요소에 관한 연구 (Curved quadratic triangular degenerated-shell elements for geometric non-linear analysis)

  • 곡면 사각형 쉘 요소들이 다수인 것에 비해, 곡면 삼각형 요소들은 아주 소수이다. 이미 발표된, 선형 해석을 위한 6절점 2차 쉘 요소의 가정 자연 변형도 이론에 기초해, 본 연구에서는 6절점 쉘 요소의 기하학적 비선형 해석을 수행하였다. 쉘 요소는 표준 절점 자유도만으로 곡면 모델링이 가능하고, 수치해석 결과가 보여주는 바와 같이 다양한 잠김 현상들을 제거하는데 효율적인 요소임을 확인하였다.

학교 입지 계획요소가 학생수 증감에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of School Site Planning Factors Related to School Location on Increase and Decrease of the Number of Students in Korea)

  • 5개 신도시내 초등학교별 장기(24년간) 학생수 증감추세를 9개 계획요소(개발밀도, 다양한 사설학원의 입지 가능 여부, 학교 위치, 통학구역 형태, 인근 학교와의 거리 공동통학구역 운영 여부, 보행자전용가로 조성, 접도조건, 통학로상 입체보차분리시설 유무 등)별 가설을 설정하고, 이를 바탕으로 장기 학생수 증감추세와의 연관성 판단기준에 따라 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개발밀도, 학교 위치, 통학구역 형태, 인근 학교 거리, 입체보차분리시설 설치 등의 계획요소는 뚜렷한 연관성이 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 둘째, 사설학원 입지와 인근학교 거리 보행자전용가로 설치의 계획요소는 약간의 연관성을 보였다. 셋째, 접도 차선수와 공동통학구역 계획요소는 연관성이 없었다. 본 연구는 수도권 1기 5개 신도시 89개 초등학교만을 조사 분석한 결과이기 때문에 이를 일반화하는데 한계가 있고, 분석요소 및 평가기준을 더욱 정교화할 필요가 있어 이에 대한 후속연구가 필요하다.

경계요소법을 이용한 계면균열의 응력특이성에 관한 고찰 (Study on the Stress Singularity of Interface Crack by using Boundary Element Method)

  • The boundary element method was used for studying singularities of an interface crack with contact zones. Because the contact zone size was extremely small in a tention field, a large number of Gaussian points were is used for numerical integration of the Kernels. In order to estimate the contact zone size, iteration method was used. The interface crack tips with contact zones showed no oscillatory behavior and J-integral values across the interface were conserved.
