적응 가중 미디언 필터를 이용한 영상 확산 알고리즘 (Nonlinear Anisotropic Diffusion Using Adaptive Weighted Median Filters)

  • 편미분 방정식을 도입하여 새로운 영상처리 기술을 개발하려는 연구가 활발히 진행 중이며, 특히 확산 방정식을 풀어 잡음 제거, 영상 복원, 에지 검출 및 영상 분할 등에 응용할 수 있는 이미지 확산 알고리즘에 관심이 높다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 비등방성 확산 방식이 결국은 커널 크기가 작은 적응 필터링 방식과 동일한 효과를 낸다는 것을 보이고, 확산 과정에서 선형 필터의 단점을 보완할 수 있도록 가중 미디언(WM, Weighted Median) 필터를 적용한 새로운 확산 기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 WM 필터가 비등방성 커널을 갖도록 필터계수에 대응하는 가중치들을 이미지의 국부적인 변화량에 따라 적응적으로 가변할 수 있는 기법을 제안하였다. 뿐만 아니라 반복 과정에서의 확산 속도를 증가할 수 있도록 커널의 크기를 증가시키기 위한 방안도 제시하였다. 실제 영상을 사용한 실험을 통하여 제안된 방식이 기존의 방식에 비해 잡음 제거 (특히 임펄스성 잡음) 특성이나 에지 보존 특성이 더 우수하다는 것을 보였다. 또한 기존의 방식에 비해 확장된 크기를 갖는 커널을 이용함으로써 확산 속도를 높일 수 있다는 것을 보였다.

  • Various nonlinear loads such as diode rectifiers, and phase controlled converters connected to at source cause harmonic pollutions in ac mains. Recently some filters have been proposed to minimize the potential problems. This study describes a method to improve the performances of a voltage source active filter. Two feedback loops are used in the scheme : one for reactive power compensation and the other for harmonic eliminations.

  • Harmonics and fundamental reactive power of nonlinear loads in serious unbalanced power condition are compensated by current synchronous detection(CSD) theory which is also acceptable for single phase power system, but the CSD theory is not suitable any more in case of controlled independently harmonics and reactive component. Therefore a new algorithm the extended current synchronous detection (ECSD)theory for a three phase active power filter based on decomposition of fundamental reactive distorted components is proposed in this paper. The proposed ECSD theory is simulated and tested comparison with a few power theories under asymmtrical condition in power system.

  • 본 논문은 댐핑 저항을 사용하지 않고 LCL필터를 사용한 계통 연계형 PWM 컨버터를 제어하기 위해 종속(cascade) 구조를 갖는 궤환선형화 제어기법을 제안한다. 제안된 제어 알고리즘은 2[MW] DFIG 풍력발전 시스템에 적용한 시뮬레이션과 3[kW] AC/DC PWM 컨버터에 적용한 실험을 통해 그 타당성이 검증된다.

  • This paper presents a novel fuzzy logic based control method for shunt active filters. Since the fuzzy sets are based on linguistic description, therefore they don't need to the mathematical model of the investigated systems. The proposed method is very suitable to nonlinear and time variant loads. The controller is robust, reliable and it has a smooth response. Also transient response of method is much better than the other classical methods. The simulation results confirm the suitable performance of the filter using this control method.

  • In this paper, using B-splines as universial approximators, we have obtained a plant parametrization which permits the construction of an adaptive observer. The particular property of this parametrization is that the dynamic order of the filters in this design does not depend on the number of parameters in the plant parametrization. This appears to be a beneficial property especially because the number of such parameters tends to be very high for universial approximator based designs.

  • This paper presents a suboptimal Kalman filter design method for the problem of tracking a maneuvering target. The design method is essentially based on linear target dynamics and linear-like structured measurements called pseudomeasurements. The pseudomeasurements are obtained by manipulating the original nonlinear measurements algebraically. The resulting filter has computational advantages over other filters with similar performance. Monte Carlo computer simulation results are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed suboptimal filter associated with the target acceleration model.

Federated Information Mode-Matched Filters in ACC Environment

  • In this paper, a target tracking algorithm for tracking maneuvering vehicles is presented. The overall algorithm belongs to the category of an interacting multiple-model (IMM) algorithm used to detect multiple targets using fused information from multiple sensors. First, two kinematic models are derived: a constant velocity model for linear motions, and a constant-speed turn model for curvilinear motions. Fpr the constant-speed turn model, a nonlinear information filter is used in place of the extended Kalman filter. Being equivalent to the Kalman filter (KF) algebraically, the information filter is extended to N-sensor distributed dynamic systems. The model-matched filter used in multi-sensor environments takes the form of a federated nonlinear information filter. In multi-sensor environments, the information-based filter is easier to decentralize, initialize, and fuse than a KF-based filter. In this paper, the structural features and information sharing principle of the federated information filter are discussed. The performance of the suggested algorithm using a Monte Carlo simulation under the two patterns is evaluated.

Real Time Control of an Induction Motor Using IMC Approach

  • The paper presents a method for controlling induction motors using a nonlinear internal model control (IMC) approach. The process model and the inverse model are developed in the rotor flux coordinate. The main advantage of the proposed method is that it easily specifies the performance (steady state error, transient response, etc.) and the robustness of the controller by means of the IMC filters. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Results on a real time system show that the control system has good performance and robustness against changes in motor parameters (rotor and stator resistances, rotor and stator inductances, rotor inertia).
