In this paper, we give a non-existence theorem of Hopf hypersurfaces in complex two-plane Grassmannians $G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})$, $m{\geq}3$, whose shape operator is of Codazzi type in generalized Tanaka-Webster connection $\hat{\nabla}^{(k)}$.

In this paper we give some non-existence theorems for Hopf hypersurfaces in the complex two-plane Grassmannian $G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})$ with Lie parallel normal Jacobi operator $\bar{R}_N$ and totally geodesic D and $D^{\bot}$ components of the Reeb flow.

In this paper we give a non-existence theorem for Hopf real hypersurfaces in complex two-plane Grassmannians $G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})$ satisfying the condition that the structure Jacobi operator $R_{\xi}$ commutes with the 3-structure tensors ${\phi}_i$, i = 1, 2, 3.

Using variational methods, we prove some results on the nonexistence and multiplicity of weak solutions for a class of semilinear elliptic systems of two equations involving Grushin type operators with sign-changing nonlinearities. We also shows that the similar results can be obtained for systems of m equations, where m is arbitrary.

The effects of material nonhomogeneity and nonisothermal conditions on the stress response of pressurized tubes are assessed by virtue of a computational model. The modulus of elasticity, the Poisson's ratio, the yield strength, and the coefficient of thermal expansion, are assumed to vary nonlinearly in the tube. A logarithmic temperature distribution within the tube is proposed. Under these conditions, it is shown that the stress states and the magnitudes of response variables are affected significantly by both the material nonhomogeneity and the existence of the radial temperature gradient.

The algebraic structure of the natural integral cohomology operations is explored by means of examples. We decompose the generators of the groups $H^m(\mathbb{Z},\;n)$ with $2\;{\leq}\;n\;{\leq}\;7$ and $2\;{\leq}\;m\;{\leq}\;13$ into the operations of cup products, cross-cap products and compositions. Examination of these decompositions and comparison with other possible generators demonstrates the existence of relations between integral operations that have withheld formulation. The calculated groups and generators are collected in a table for practical reference.

We present a new convergence analysis of popular Broyden's method in the Banach/Hilbert space setting which is applicable to non-smooth operators. Moreover, we do not assume a priori solvability of the equation under consideration. Nevertheless, without these simplifying assumptions our convergence theorem implies existence of a solution and superlinear convergence of Broyden's iterations. To demonstrate practical merits of Broyden's method, we use it for numerical solution of three nontrivial infinite-dimensional problems.

The object of the present paper is to study $(LCS)_n$-manifolds. Several interesting results on a $(LCS)_n$-manifold are obtained. Also the generalized Ricci recurrent $(LCS)_n$-manifolds are studied. The existence of such a manifold is ensured by several non-trivial new examples.

In this paper, we study the non-existence of finite order entire solutions of nonlinear differential-difference of the form $$f^n+Q(z,f)=h$$, where $n{\geq}2$ is an integer, $Q(z,f)$ is a differential-difference polynomial in $f$ with polynomial coefficients, and $h$ is a meromorphic function of order ${\leq}1$.
