  • This paper discussed the relationship between existing flowability test method and rheology test, and rheological flowable behaviour of Non Shrinkage Grouting Mortar(NSGM) based on rheological aspect. Five different grouting products are chosen and W/P are conformed to recommendation proposed by product company to meet KS F 4044. For rheological properties of NSGM, flowable behaviour can be explained by the assumption of Binghan model. Also, relationship between flowability test and rheology index of NSGM is confirmed based on this test. Increase of funneling time and decrease of flow led to increase rheology index.

  • This study aims to develop an economical precast hollow concrete column with high constructability which consists of only splice sleeve and general reinforcing bar without using PC tendons in order to reduce the construction period and cost. With this purpose, this study performed the finite element analysis and tension test by using some variables such as length of sleeve, diameter of rebar and curing method for suggesting a grouting type splice sleeve which is a new type joint rebar and developing an optimized splice sleeve. As a result, the analysis on the tension performance of splice sleeve did not show any destruction caused by pull-out in reinforcing bar but it only occurred destruction of tension bar or bolt shear rupture from the mechanical defect of sleeve. Therefore, the experiment showed high performance in tension of the suggested splice sleeve and verified the application of precast hollow concrete column.

  • For the fast construction and replacement of bridges in urban area, a prefabricated bridge system can be an excellent alternative. Details of prefabricated slabs for PSC girders were developed and static tests on shear connections were conducted to propose design equations of the shear connection. Stirrups and stud connectors were used as shear connectors and non-shrink mortar was used for the filling material in shear pockets for shear connectors. Stirrups and studs were fabricated to insert embedded nut-type devices in PSC girders. Shear strength of the shear connection considering chemical bond, friction and mechanical connectors was evaluated and empirical equations were suggested. Due to the mechanical connectors, ultimate slip capacity of the shear connection was sufficient for shear load redistribution, and suggested details of the shear connection showed good performance in terms of strength and ductility.

  • The compressive strength of horizontal joints in precast concrete large panel structures depends on parameters such as grout and panel strength, detail of joint, joint moment, width of grout column etc. As the panels are only connected at the pocket, it results in the reduction of compressive strength area. The purposes of this study are to develop the suitable grout material the joint pocket and to enable us to evaluate structural capacity. The validity of the design formulas provides us more economic system in construction. Test results of 15 specimens show that the proper construction procedure and grouting material develop the sufficient compressive strength of the wall as monolithic system.

  • In general, the precast columns can obtain its homogeneous quality as they are produced in a factory with a hollow concrete block type by using high strength concrete, so that they can generate the reduction of dead load. Such a method of precast hollow concrete columns is already implemented in USA and Japan and used for connecting between blocks which use PC tendons. However, it is inevitable to have uneconomical construction with excessive cost in early stage when PC tendons are used. This study aims to develop an economical precast column with high quality and constructability which consists of only splice sleeve and general reinforcing bar without using PC tendons in order to reduce the construction period and cost. To achieve this goal, this study tested the performance of total 5 minimized models in the experiment with the variables such as hollowness, diameter of main reinforcement bar and cross-sectional size for the cross section of precast column by using grouting type splice sleeve which is a new type joint rebar. And it also verified the performance of column in the experiment for a large-sized model in order to overview its applicability by excluding large scale effect.

  • Increase of traffic volume in recent years results in deterioration of the bridge slab, which is directly subjected ot vehicle loads. Where extensive repair is necessary, replacement or enhancement of load carrying capacity using full depth precast concrete deck is often the most practical solution. Precast deck system has transverse joints between adjacent precast decks. Vertical shear forces occur when a vehicle wheel load is carried by precast decks and the joints are used to transfer the load to an adjacent deck. Effective load transfer between precast decks is critical for integral behavior. Finite element analysis and tests were run on the proposed femal-to-female type joint. 18 joint specimens were tested to investigate the effects of angle. D/H, and confining stress under static load. Results indicate joint with angle of 60$^{\circ}$ and D/H of 1/4 shows the improved load carrying capacity on crack. It is effective in protecting the cracking of joints to keep the joint in compression using confining stress.
