잡음에 강인한 특징점 정합 기법 (Feature Matching Algorithm Robust To Noise)

  • 본 논문에서는 FAST(Features from Accelerated Segment Test) 특징점 검출기와 SURF 특징점 표현자(descriptor)를 수정하고 조합하여 영상의 왜곡에 강인하면서 정합을 수행할 수 있는 새로운 특징점 정합 기법을 제안한다. 스케일 공간을 생성하여 스케일 변화를 고려하고 잡음에 강인하기 위해 영상에서 특징점 후보군을 결정한다. 기존의 FAST는 에지 부분에서 특징점을 많이 검출하게 되는데 이러한 단점을 주곡률(principal curvatures)을 적용하여 개선하고자 한다. 또한 영상의 회전 변화에 강인하기 위해 SURF 특징점 표현자를 사용한다. 제안하는 정합 기법은 적은 계산량으로 기존의 특징점 정합 기법보다 우수한 성능을 나타낸다. 특별히 잡음이 존재하는 영상에서의 정합에 강인함을 보여준다.

  • This paper implements an active noise controller in a headset by solving Robust $H_{\infty}$ control problem. In the $H_{\infty}$ control framework, we can suppose the noise in a headset as disturbance and the noise control problem is cast on the well-known $H_{\infty}$ regulation problem. By representing the system as LFT(Linear Fractional Transformaion) form, the controller is obtained using D-K iteraitons. The designed controller was implemented with operational amplifiers and it produced the desired noise reduction performance.

  • In this paper, nonlinear active noise control(ANC) of a 3rd-order Volterra system, which is robust to background noise variation, is proposed along with a variable step-size Gauss-Seidel pseudo affine projection(VSSGS-PAP) algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach yields better nonlinear ANC performance in a background noise variation environment, compared with the conventional methods for the nonlinear ANC.

  • Recently, regulations of the government and concerns of people give rise to the interest in exhaust and intake noise of passenger car as much as other vehicles. In these demands, performance prediction software with hybrid method was developed at first. Secondly, robust design was used for improving the noise reduction capacity of intake system with the performance prediction software. On the basis of the existing design, length and radios of each component that was thought to effect on the capacity of intake system was selected. The factors were arranged by using L18 table of orthogonal array and optimum value was obtained.

  • In this paper, an active noise controller for a communication headset was designed. In a communication headset, there exist information signals such as voices from the end for the communication line as well as also, undesirable noises with are induced by external noise sources such as engine noises. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the external noises for clear hearing of the communication signals. This problem was solved by robust H(sub)$\infty$ controller to reduce noise and a compensator for information signals The designed controller was implemented using TMS320C31 DSP Op-amp, and several experiments were performed to verify its performance. The results showed that the controller reduces the undesirable noises sufficiently, while communication signals are not reduced.

  • Adaptive algorithm used in Acoustic Echo Canceller (AEC) needs fast convergence algorithm when reference signal is colored speech signal. Set-Membership Affine Projection (SMAP) algorithm is derived from the constraint, which is the minimum value adaptive filter coefficient error. In this paper, we test the characteristic about noise of the SMAP algorithm and proposed modified version of SMAP algorithm fur using at AEC. As the projection order increase, the convergence characteristic of the SMAP algorithm is improved where no noise space. But if the noise uncorrelated with input signal exists, the AEC shows bad performance. In this paper, we propose normalized version of adaptive constants using estimated error signal for robust to noise and show the good performance through AEC simulation.

  • This paper presents a design method of a robust tracking controller satisfying multiple constraints using genetic algorithm. A robust $H_{\infty}$ constraint with loop shaping is used to address disturbance attenuation with error limits and a loop gain constraint is considered so as not to enlarge the tracking loop gain and bandwidth unnecessarily. The robust $H_{\infty}$ constraint is expressed by a matrix inequality and the loop gain constraint is considered as an objective function so that genetic algorithm can be applied. Finally, a robust tracking controller can be obtained by integrating genetic algorithm with LMI approach. The proposed tracking controller design method is applied to the track-following system of an optical DVD recording drive and is evaluated through the experimental results.

  • Fractures and wrinkles are two major defects frequently found in the sheet metal forming process. The process has several noise factors that cannot be ignored when determining the optimal process conditions. Therefore, without any countermeasures against noise, attempts to reduce defects through optimal design methods have often led to failure. In this study, a new and robust design methodology that can reduce the possibility of formation of fractures and wrinkles is presented using decision-making theory. A two-attribute value function is presented to form the design metric for the sheet metal forming process. A modified complex method is adopted to isolate the optimal robust design variables. One of the major limitations of the traditional robust design methodology, which is based on an orthogonal array experiment, is that the values of the optimal design variables have to coincide with one of the experimental levels. As this restriction is eliminated in the complex method, a better solution can be expected. The procedure of the proposed method is illustrated through a robust design of the sheet metal forming process of a side member of an automobile body.

광 디스크 드라이브 서보 설계를 위한 강건 제어 이론의 적용 및 평가 : H vs. QFT (Robust Servo Design and Application for Optical Disk Drive Using Robust Control Theory : H vs. QFT)

  • In this paper, the various uncertainties generated in an optical disk drive (ODD) and the robust servo designs considering the uncertainties are studied. First, the brief introduction an ODD and the servo error tolerance of it are discussed. Then, the classifications of uncertainty and the concept of relative stability are introduced. Considering the uncertainty of an ODD, two robust control approaches are applied: (i) mixed sensitivity approach in H$\infty$ control theory for unstructured uncertainty, (ii) QFT for structured uncertainty Finally, the designed controllers are realized by DSP, and these controllers are applied to a commercial DVD-ROM drive. From these experiments, we prove that the designed robust controllers have more good disturbance rejection performance and robustness when it is compared to the conventional lead-lag controller.
