3GPP LTE MIMO-OFDMA 시스템의 인접 셀 간섭 완화를 위한 개선된 Spatial Covariance Matrix 추정 기법 (Enhanced Spatial Covariance Matrix Estimation for Asynchronous Inter-Cell Interference Mitigation in MIMO-OFDMA System)

  • 본 논문에서는 3GPP LTE (3rd Generation Partnership Project Long Term Evolution) MIMO-OFDMA(multiple-input multiple-output-orthogonal frequency division multiple access) 시스템의 하향 링크 수신기를 위한 asynchronous ICI (Inter-Cell Interference) 완화 기법을 제안한다. Multi-cell 환경을 고려한 celluar OFDMA 시스템에서는 기본적으로 frequency reuse factor가 1로 설정되기 때문에 셀 경계에 위치한 UE (User Equipment)의 경우 ICI 영향을 받게 되며, 특히 각기 다른 셀 반경 및 nodeB 간의 거리 차이 등 현실적인 celluar 환경을 고려 할 경우에는 UE 간 타이밍 오류가 가중되어 수신 신호의 주파수 영역의 직교성이 파괴될 가능성이 있다. 따라서 이러한 인접 셀 간섭을 제거 및 완화하기 위하여 수신 OFDM 심볼에 대한 SCM (Spatial Covariance Matrix) 추정이 필요하다. 일반적으로 SCM 추정은 training symbol을 이용함을 가정하지만, 긴 시간 동안 간섭의 통계적 특성을 측정하는 것은 어려울 뿐만 아니라 training symbol이 고려되지 않는 LTE와 같은 MIMO-OFDMA 시스템에는 적합하지 않다. 또한 추정의 정확성을 높이기 위하여 noise reduction 방식이 적용된 추정 기법이 제시되고 있으나, 기존 time-domain low-pass type weighting 방식은 spectral leakage에 의한 추정 에러를 유발하는 단점이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 noise reduction 효과를 얻으면서 spectral leakage에 의한 SCM 추정 오류를 최소화할 수 있으며, 주파수 영역에의 moving average filter로 구현 가능한 time-domain sinc-type weighting 방식의 SCM 추정 기법을 제안하였으며, 다양한 환경에서의 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 통하여 제안된 방식이 기존의 방식보다 약 3dB 의 SIR (Signal to Interference Ratio) 이득을 보임을 입증하였다.

  • 후류처리 장치는 기본적으로 화염유도로의 역할을 하며 추가적인 기능에 따라 소음/배기가스 처리 장치, 고공 모사 장치 등으로 분류될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 화염 및 충격파로 부터의 발사체 보호, 제트펌프, 유해배기 가스 저감 등 후류처리 장치에 적용되는 원리를 제시하였다. 물 분사에 의한 소음감소는 마하파를 약화시키며 물의 증발 및 응축을 통해 제트의 에너지를 줄이는 원리를 이용함을 보였다. 또한 후류처리 장치에 적용되는 원리의 고찰을 통하여 수직형 후류처리 장치의 개념을 제시하였다.

머드플랩이 개선된 KTX차량의 궤도구간별 실내소음 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Interior Noise Characteristics of KTX with Improved Mud Flap for Various Track Conditions)

  • There has been an increasing demand for the mitigation of noise and vibration caused by KTX. One of considered noise reduction methods which is to enlarge mud-flap in gangway was selected and the replacement of all KTX mud-flaps by improved mud-flaps was completed recently. To investigate the noise characteristics of KTX with improved mud-flap, the measurement was performed. Based on the measurement results, the assessment of noise level, noise characteristics by speed and pure tone analysis for various track conditions was executed. It is shown that the use of improved mud-flap is effective to reduce the interior noise of KTX.

  • The impacts of road traffic noise in Hong Kong are pervasive. About one million peoople are affected by road traffic noise at levels higher than a standardd recommended fro planning of new developments. The Environmental Protection Department of Hong Kong has promulgated a set of planning standards and guidelines for reference of planners, engineers and architects in their preparation of land use proposals which include road and residential developments. This paper will describe, in connection with road traffic noise in Hong Kong, the planning objectives, the various practicable mitigation measures available to a high density modern city, and the achievements through conscientious planning efforts made over the past years.

로터 끝 슬롯의 공기역학적 효과에 대한 실험 연구 (Experimental study on the aerodynamic effects of slots at a rotor tip)

  • In this study, we investigate the effects of slots installed on the tip of a rotor blade on aerodynamic characteristics. The slots weaken the strength and spatial coherence of the tip vortex at early vortex age and accelerate the dissipation of the generated tip vortex. Accordingly, the turbulence intensity of the rotor wake is reduced at both near and far wake, which leads to a reduction in broadband noise. Tonal noise is also reduced by mitigation of tip vortices, but tonal noise reduction is limited to a narrower range of azimuths than broadband noise due to the extinction of tip vortices. In addition, slots reduce both mean thrust and thrust fluctuations. Reduction in thrust fluctuations leads to a reduction in blade loading noise, resulting in a reduction in tonal noise.

  • Power electronic systems such as switching power supplies are accounted as noise sources for other sensitive circuits. EMI caused by power converters can disturb the normal operation of the converter and other adjacent systems. Major research is concentrated on EMI mitigation for power converters in which the main concern is compliance with EMC standards to ensure proper operation of converters and nearby systems. This paper reviews EMI reduction techniques related to switching power converters with emphasis on the conducted EMI. A comprehensive review of significant research works is performed and various methods are thoroughly discussed and compared. Also, a classification of methods is presented. Moreover, converter prototypes are realized which contain several EMI mitigation techniques and their effects are presented via experimental results.

준고속 도시철도의 진동분석 및 저감대책 (Vibration Analysis and Mitigable Countermeasures of Semi High-speed Subway Electric Trains)

  • Subway electric trains need to be faster for accommodation of long distance passengers. The faster run of the existing trains results in deterioration of ride quality due to noise and vibration. To reduce the noise and vibration of the electric train, a running test of the electric train was performed and an ADAMS/Rail model was set up to verify the running test results. The experimental results show that the sources of the cabin noise and vibration basically comes from the irregularity of the railroad track and the deterioration of the connection part between cabin and bogie. Consequently for mitigation of noise and vibration of the electric train, the redesign of the center pivot with softer stiffness and the minimization of rail irregularity are necessary. the frequent maintenance of the train will lead to better comport.

슬래브궤도의 소음저감을 위한 흡음재의 성능에 관한 연구 (The study of absorbing material performance for the noise mitigation of slab track)

  • The construction of concrete slab track system is increased because the system has advantages which are maintenance free and so on, the other side, the system has weak points such as increase of the cost of the early stage construction and noise levels. The increment of noise is due to the reflection of generated noise on the slab tracks. Therefore the acoustic-absorptive materials are considered to reduce noise level. It has been made clear that acoustic-absorptive materials are effective for reducing the wheel/rail noise on slab tracks. The important performance of the acoustic-absorptive material is absorption rates and absorption rates are verified for the considered absorber elements using acoustic duct method. In addition, the required provisons for installing acoustic-absorptive block on slab tracks are considered.

  • The objective of this paper is to suggest a characteristics of Noise and the Noise Prediction Model and the appropriate Noise Impact Mitigation Method for a elevated railway bridges construction. The characteristics on noises are investigated and evaluated according to a type of railway bridges such as steel, concrete and steel/concrete compound bridges, a types of train, a distance and height from railways. The noise prediction study has been made by the evaluation of differences between model values and in-situ measurement, around the railways. For the noise prediction, the Mithra program and the electronic properties of noises have been adopted.

  • Measurements of wind noise, generated by High-voltage overhead transmission lines placed in a uniform flow are carried out in the Anechoic windtunnel. High-voltage overhead transmission lines generates audible wind noise, which cause a serious environment problem. Accordingly, wind noise has become one of major concerns for design engineers and operations personnel. In the present research, tests were mainly performed with various configuration of transmission line with spiral wires. Remarkable noise reduction was observed for some of the spiral transmission lines, compared with the noise generated without the spiral wire.
