  • The objective of this study is to obtain the basic data for investigating the effects of organic reserves on winter survial or regrowth yield. Forage rape(Brassica napus L.) was sown on Sep. 1, 1994. Experimental plots were divided into three replicates under 6 different cutting dates(l0 days interval from Oct. 15 to Dec. 4). Field-grown palnts were sampled on the each cutting date and on the wintering period (Jan. 16) to analyze the nitrogen and non-structural cahohydrate reserves. The rate of winter survival and regrowth yield were also measured in the spring of next year. On the before wintering, dry matter yields were 152, 274, 500, 718, 776 and 981 kg/lOa, respectively, from the cutting date on Oct. 15, Oct. 25, Nov. 4, Nov. 14, Nov. 24, and Dec. 4. Cmde protein yield significantly increased as cutting date was later until Nov. 14, thereafter a significant increase did not occured. Nitrogen and starch contents per plant significnatly increased as the cutting date was later. The increasing rate of starch was greatly higher than that of nitrogen. On the wintering period, nitrogen reserves in mts were 85.3, 68.8, 47.6, 28.3, 44.3, and 55.3 mglplant, and starch reserve were 11 1.3, 75.3, 39.3, 19.6, 26.4 and 34.6 mglplant, respectively, in the plots cut on Oct. 15, Oct. 25, Nov. 4, Nov. 14, Nov. 24, and Dec. 4. It showed that carbohydrate reserves were much highly utilized than nitrogen reserves during wintering period. The rates of winter survival were 91, 83, 46, 22, 35 and 43% and regrowth yields were 692, 545, 316, 84, 127 and 140 kgD.M/lOa, respectively, in each plots. The highly significant correlation (p<0.01) between the level of organic reserves and the rate of winter survival or regrowth yield were obtained.

Rate Effects of Swine Manure Fermented with Sawdust on Efficiency of Nitrogen Utilization of Silage Corn and Soil Fertility

  • This study was carried out to examine the effects of animal manure on efficiency of the nitrogen utilization of silage corn (Zea mays L.) and soil fertility. The experiment was conducted on the field plot at Gongiam, Kwangju, Kyunggi-Do for 3 years, from 1996 to 1998, and arranged in split-plot design with three replications. The main plots were two kinds of composts such as swine manure fermented with sawdust (SMFWS) and swine manure fermented without sawdust (SMF). Subplots were the nitrogen fertilization rate (0, 100, 200, 300 and 400kgNhalyear). The nitrogen (N) yield increased as the nitrogen fertilization rate increased up to a rate of 300 kg Nha, but decreased at rate of 400 kg Nlha. Nitrogen yield in SMF treatments was higher than that of SMFWS treatments. But there were no significant differences between SMFWS and SMF treatments. Organic matter (OM) content of the soils in SMFWS was higher than that of SMF, &d was not significantly different between SMFWS and SMF treatments. OM content increased with increasing the nitrogen fertilization rate. Total nitrogen (TN) content of the soils increased as the nitrogen fertilization rate increased. No difference of TN content was found between SMFWS and SMF treatments. (Key words : Swine manure, Compost, Corn, Sawdust, Nutritive value)

파종량 및 질소시비수준이 봄 연맥의 생육특성 , 사료가치 및 사초수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Seeding Rates and Nitrogen Fertilization Levels on the Agronomic Charicteristics , Nutritive Value and Forage Yield of Spring Oat)

  • 본 시험은 봄 연맥(Avena sativa L.)에 대한 파종량및 질소시비수준이 생육특성, 사료가치 및 사초의 수량에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 1987년 9월부터 11월 까지 약 2개월간에 걸쳐서 수행되었으며 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 출현솔은 파종량이 ha당 120,160 및 200kg으로 증가함에 따라서 93.4, 71.4 및 70.6%로 낮아졌다(P<0.01) 2. 분벽솔 발생은 파종량의 증가에 대하여 유의적인 감소가인정되어(P<0.05), ha당 파종량 120kg, 질소시비수준 200kg인 구가 3.3개로 가장많았던 반면 파종량이 200dkg으로 높아지면 2.1개로 낮아졌다.3. 엽폭은 파종량에 의해 영향을 받아서 파종량이 증가할수록 엽폭은 감소하였으며 (P<0.05), 엽신장은 파종량과 질소시비수준에 의해 유의성이 나타나지 않았고, 파종량이 낮을수록 엽신장은 약간 증가되는 경향만을 나타내었다. 4. 초장은 질소시비수준에 의해서는 영향을 받지 않았으나 파종량의 증가에 대하서는 유의성을 나타내어(P<0.05), 파종량이 높아질수록 초장은 깅어졌다.5.파종량이 낮고 질소시비량이높은 시험구가 조단백질 함량이 높게 나타났다.(P<0.05).질소시비효과가 커서 질소시비수준이 ha당 100,150,200kg으로 높아짐에 따라 19.3,20.2,및 21.4%로 조단백질 함량이 높아졌다. ADF와 NDF는 파종량과 질소시비수준에 따른 함량의 변화가 없었지만 MDF함량에서 파종량과 질소시비수준에 의한 상호작용만이 인정되었다. In vitro 건물소화솔은 파종량과 질소시비수준증가에 따라 높아지는 경향만을 나타냈다.6. 파종량이 120,160, 및 200kg/ha로 증가되면 건물수량도 ha당 3,197,3.583 및 3.713kg로 증가되었으나 질소시비수준에 따른 건물수량 증가는 그 효과가 인정되지 않았다.7. 조단백질수량은질소시비수준 증가에 의해서만 고도의 유의적 증가를 나타내어(P<0.01), 질소시비수준이 ha당 100,150,및 200kg일때 증가되었다.8. In virto 가상화건물수량은 파종량이나 질소시비량에 의하여 유의적으로 증가되지 않았다. 본 시험에서 얻어진 결과에 의하면 우리나라에서 청예리용을 위한 봄 연맥의 파종량은 연맥의 가을철 청예로서의 이용적 측면을 고려해 볼 때 ha 200kg 정도로 높여주고 질소시비수준은 ha당 100kg 정도가 적당하다고 생각된다.

Fallow Cover Crop Species and Nitrogen Rate of Fertigated Solution on Cucumber Yield and Soil Sustainability in Greenhouse Condition

  • Nutrient accumulation in surface soil has become a serious problem for cucumber production in greenhouse. However, still in many cases, soil management practices are only focused on maintaining crop yield, regardless of sustainability related with soil chemical properties. This study was conducted to propose a sustainable soil management practice by investigating the impact of cover crop species and nitrogen rate of fertigated solution on cucumber yield and soil chemical properties in greenhouse condition. Rye and hairy vetch were tested as a fallow cover crop, and each amount of urea (1/2, 3/4, 1 times of N fertilizer recommendations), determined by soil testing result, was supplied in fertigation plots as an additional nitrogen source. The result showed that the yield of cucumber was higher in rye treatment than control and hairy vetch treatment. In addition, rye effectively reduced EC and accumulated nutrients from the soil. Meanwhile, N concentration of fertigated solution showed no significant effect on the growth and yield of cucumber. Consequently, these results suggest that it is desirable to choose rye as a fallow catch crop for sustainable cucumber production in greenhouse.

Response of Chickpea to Dual Inoculation with Rhizobium and Arbuscular Mycorrhiza, Nitrogen and Phosphorus

  • The response of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) to dual inoculation with Rhizobium (R) and arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM), nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) was studied on spore abundance and colonization of AM, nodulation, growth, yield attributes and yield. In all the parameters of the crop the performance of Rhizobium inoculant alone was superior to control. Dual inoculation with Rhizobium and AM in presence of P performed the best in recording number of spore $100g^{-1}$ rhizosphere soil and root colonization, number and dry weight of nodule, dry weights of shoot and root, number of pod $plant^{-1}$, number of seed $pod^{-1}$, seed and stover yields of chickpea. The maximum seed yield of 3.33 g $plant^{-1}$ was obtained by inoculating chickpea plants with Rhizobium and AM in association with P. From the view point of nodulation, growth, yield attributes and yield of chickpea, dual inoculation with Rhizobium and AM along with P was considered to be the balanced combination of nutrients for achieving the highest output from cultivation of chickpea in Shallow Red Brown Terrace Soil of Bangladesh.

  • 국산(國産)(진해화학제조(鎭海化學製造)) 유황(硫黃)입힌 요소(尿素)(SCU)를 TVA제(製) SCU와 METAP 및 요소분시(尿素分施)와 비교(比較)하여 IR667 (Suwon 213)의 수량(收量)과 질소영양(窒素營養)에 대(對)한 효과(效果)를 조기(早期) 및 적기재배(適期栽培)의 포장시험(圃場試驗)으로 조사(調査)하였다. 1. 국산(國産) SCU는 초기(初期) 다량(多量)의 질소용출(窒素溶出)로 요소분시(尿素分施)에 비(比)하여 수풍(收豊)이나 질소영양면(窒素營養面)에서 우월(優越)한 점(點)이 별로 없었다. 2. 요소분시(尿素分施)보다 약(約) 10%의 증수(增收)를 보인 TVA제(製) SCU는 생육전기간(生育全期間)을 통(通)해 가장 높은 고중(藁中) 질소농도(窒素濃度)를 보이며 건물생산량(乾物生産量) 또는 질소흡수집적곡선(窒素吸收集積曲線)이 가장 균형적(均衡的)인 것이었다. 3. TVA제(製) SCU는 유수형성기(幼穗形成期)에 질소농도(窒素濃度)가 특(特)히 높으며 질소농도(窒素濃度)는 $m^2$ 당립수(當粒數)와 고도(高度)로 정비례(正比例) 하였다. 4. TVA제(製) SCU만이 유수형성기(幼穗形成期)에 질소흡수속도(窒素吸收速度)가 최고(最高)에 오는 일봉식(一峰式) 흡수속도양상(吸收速度樣相)을 보였다(기타(其他)는 이봉식(二峰式)) 5. 적기재배(適期栽培)에서 요소분시(尿素分施)의 질소이용율(窒素利用率)(37.1%)보다 TVA제(製) SCU는 높았으나 (46.0%) 국산(國産) SCU는 큰 차이가 없었으며 (38.9%) 조기재배(早期栽培)는 완효성(緩效性)의 질소이용율(窒素利用率)이 요소분시(尿素分施)보다 높았다. 6. TVA제(製) SCU는 출수후(出穗後)에 질소부족(窒素不足)현상을 보여주므로 용출양상(溶出樣相)이 다른 여러가지 완효성비료(緩效性肥料)를 혼합시비(混合施肥)하는 것이 가장 현상적(現想的)일 것으로 보였다.

비음과 질소시비가 Orchargrass의 건물생산에 미치는 영향 (the Effects of Shade and N Fertilization on the Dry Matter Production of Orchargrass)

  • The purpose of this experiment was to evaluate the effects of shade and levels of N fertilization on the dry matter yield and chemical compositions of orchardgrass grown under floor of chestnut tree. Shading conditions consist of $S_0$, (full light), $S_1$, (about 6OC4 shade) and $S_2$, (about 70% shade). And, nitrogen fertilizer was applied at 3 levels, O($N_0$), 12($N_1$), and 30($N_2$) kg per 10a, respectively. The results are may be summarized as follows: 1. Maximum total dry matter yield of $S_0$, was obtained about 1.28 ton/lOa at $N_2$, level. But, total dry matter yields of N levels in $S_1$, and $S_2$, were decreased about 42-45% compared with $S_0$. 2. The response of the dry matter yield to N fertilization were differences between shading and levels of N. Thus, the dry matter yield of $S_1$, increased almost linear up to about 30 kg/l0a level, while the dry matter yield of S, was increased slightly up to 30 kgIl0a. But. $S_2$, was increased up to 12 kg/lOa and then decreased slightly with N fertilization over the 12 kg/l0a. 3. Average increase in total dry matter yield to N fertilization were 23.85 kg, 7.97 kg and 5.08 kg DM for $S_0$, $S_1$, and $S_2$, respectively. 4. The level of 12 kg N/lOa is the limiting N level to obtain dry matter production under 60-709 shading conditions. 5. The contents of crude protein arid nitrate nitrogen were increased with shading and incremental N fertilization up to 30 kg/l0a. But, water soluble carbohydrate content was decreased greatly with high shading and high levels of N. 6. Nitrate nitrogen content indicated highly significant positive correlation with crude protein, but significant negative correlation with water soluble carbohydrate content. 7. At 30 kg N level with $S_1$, was necessary to exceed the potentially toxic nitrate nitrogen level of 0.20%.

  • To study the response to plant growth by the environmental factors, the effects of application of nitrogen on changes in the yield, crude protein, amino acids, chlorophyll, carotene, total phosphorus, acid-soluble phosphorus, phospholipids, RNA, and DNA were investigated with westerworlds 9Lolium sublatum) and perennial rye-grasses (Lolium perenne). The amounts of dry weight, crude protein, amino acids, chlorophyll, carotene, total phosphorus, acid-soluble phosphorus, phospholipids, RNA and DNA of both rye-grasses increased with adequately increasing nitrogen, and reached a maximum with an adequate application of nitrogen. The relationships between yields and crude protein contents, crude protein and RNA contents, and yields and RNA contents of westerworlds and perennial rye-grasses were found to be positively correlated, respectively. 간척지에서 질소비료 및 돈분 퇴비 시용에 따른 사탕무 (Beta vulgaris var. Aaron)의 수량 반응 해석을 위한 시비반응 모델 탐색 (The Selection of Yield Response Model of Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. Aaron) to Nitrogen Fertilizer and Pig Manure Compost in Reclaimed Tidal Land Soil)

  • 본 연구에서는 사탕무의 시비반응을 합리적으로 해석하고 경제성 있는 최적 시비량 및 최대 수확량의 도출을 위한 방법을 검토하기 위하여 간척지 토양에서 수준별 질소비료와 돈분퇴비의 시용에 따른 사탕무의 시비반응을 조사하였다. 시비반응은 Quadratic model, Exponential model, Square root model 및 Linear response & plateau model을 이용하여 통계적으로 분석하였다. 토양 EC가 증가함에 따라 사탕무 지하부 생체중이 지수함수적으로 감소하였다. 질소비료 시비수준별 사탕무 지하부 생체량의 시비반응은 Linear response에서 결정계수 & plateau model ($R^2$)가 $0.92^{**}$로 고도의 통계적 유의성을 보였으며, Linear response & plateau model에서 최적 질소시비량 ($N_{opt}$)은 138 kg $ha^{-1}$으로 나타났다. 돈분퇴비의 시비반응은 Quadratic model에서 $0.99^{**}$의 유의성 있는 결정계수 ($R^2$)를 보였으며, 최적 퇴비시비량은 각각 9.17 tons $ha^{-1}$으로 나타났다. 상기 결과로 볼 때 사탕무에서 질소와 돈분퇴비의 시비반응을 적절히 평가하기 위해서는 각각 Linear response & plateau model과 Quadratic model을 이용하는 것이 합리적인 것으로 판단되었다.

Effect of Legume Cover Crops and Nitrogen Fertilization Rates on Yield and Nitrogen Use Efficiency of Waxy Corn (Zea mays L.) in No-Tillage System

  • The adoption of legume cover crops in no-tillage system can contribute to improve soil fertility by providing several benefits, including reduction in soil erosion, suppression of weed growth and N supply to subsequent crops. We conducted a field study to investigate the effect of cover crops and nitrogen fertilization rates on yield and nitrogen use efficiency of waxy corn (Zea mays L.) in no-tillage upland field. Two legume cover crops, hairy vetch (Vicia villosa Roth) and crimson clover (Trifolium incarnuturn L.) were mechanically terminated with roller in early June. For each cover crop treatment, nitrogen (N) fertilizer was applied at three different rates (145, 72.5 and $0kg\;N\;ha^{-1}$). The growth and yield characteristics of corn were significantly affected by the N fertilization rates in crimson clover plots, which suggest N mineralization from the cover crop residue was not sufficient. In contrast, N fertilization rates had no significant effect on growth and yield of corn in hairy vetch plots, indicating that the amount of N released from the cover crop is large enough to meet most of the N requirement of corn. However, the application of N fertilizer in hairy vetch cover plots resulted in slight increase of crop yield, though not statically significant, and high levels of N concentration in corn plant tissue possibly due to luxury consumption of N. Organic residues on the soil surface in hairy vetch cover plots had substantial amounts of N after harvest, ranging from 100 to $116kg\;N\;ha^{-1}$, which is presumably retained during winter season and released by microbial mineralization in subsequent year. The highest nitrogen yield efficiency was achieved in the plot with hairy vetch cover and no N fertilizer application, followed by the plot with hairy vetch cover and $72.5kg\;N\;ha^{-1}$ fertilization rate. In conclusion, hairy vetch showed better performance in corn productivity as compared with crimson clover. In addition, it was concluded that the application of N fertilizer between 0 and $72.5kg\;N\;ha^{-1}$ in combination with hairy vetch cover crop might be most efficient for corn yield under no-tillage system with climatic and soil characteristics similar to those of the experimental site.
