This study was conducted to examine the user's experiences with the public library in Daejeon using big data analysis, focusing on the text mining technique. To know this, first, the overall evaluation and perception of users about the public library in Daejeon were explored by collecting data on social media. Second, through analysis using online news articles, the pending issues that are being discussed socially were identified. As a result of the analysis, the proportion of users with children was first high. Next, it was found that topics through LDA analysis appeared in four categories: 'cultural event/program', 'data use', 'physical environment and facilities', and 'library service'. Finally, it was confirmed that keywords for the additional construction of libraries and complex cultural spaces and the establishment of a library cooperation system appeared at the core in the news article data. Based on this, it was proposed to build a library in consideration of regional balance and to create a social parenting community network through business agreements with childcare and childcare institutions. This will contribute to identifying the policy and social trends of public libraries in Daejeon and implementing data-based public library operations that reflect local community demands.

The Press related Energy including nuclear energy has social responsibility that it should pass the scientific factors to the right. It is essential to ensure the accuracy and fairness. The general public, such as press releases and information obtained through indirect communication affects social acceptance of nuclear power, which is used to determine the direction of energy policy, the most important factor to be taken into account. Recent rapid increase coverage of NPP lose in balance of nuclear power plants. In this study the qualitative interviews were performed with the workers who stand directly in obtaining information about nuclear related organizations. By E-mail and FGI the data were collected from the workers' perception about domestic nuclear news. They perceived the NPP news that the negative aspects of nuclear power plants were too much dealt in nuclear news coverage, and risk of NPP is only exaggerated and distorted, the lack of expertise knowledge on nuclear power and recognize that the cause was a lack of understanding. This study investigates the diversity of news topic and source of the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and the Los Angeles Times in the second half of the twentieth century. In probing the conventional traits of the contemporary press, the researcher traced the changing patterns and trends of news values in terms of news-gathering routine in order to evaluate the journalistic role conception in terms of social responsibility theory. Findings indicated that the American press as a neutral transmitter has been consistently violated by source and topic bias without any significant changes during the last five decades. The data, however, revealed the evident shift of the contemporary press from the heavy reliance of official source to the business/economic source. In addition, news topics such as business, health, and education have replaced the conventional popular topics such as crime and accidents. By contrast, it was revealed that the unconventional topics such as poverty, labor and minority still fail to receive the large attention from the target papers.

There is a more urgent call for educational methods of machine learning in medical education, and therefore, new approaches of teaching and researching machine learning in medicine are needed. This paper presents a case using machine learning through text analysis. Topic modeling of news articles with the keyword 'asbestos' were examined. Two hypotheses were tested using this method, and the process of machine learning of texts is illustrated through this example. Using an automated text analysis method, all the news articles published from January 1, 1990 to November 15, 2016 in South Korea which included 'asbestos' in the title and the body were collected by web scraping. Differences in topics were analyzed by structured topic modelling (STM) and compared by press companies and periods. More articles were found in liberal media outlets. Differences were found in the number and types of topics in the articles according to the partisanship and period. STM showed that the conservative press views asbestos as a personal problem, while the progressive press views asbestos as a social problem. A divergence in the perspective for emphasizing the issues of asbestos between the conservative press and progressive press was also found. Social perspective influences the main topics of news stories. Thus, the patients' uneasiness and pain are not presented by both sources of media. In addition, topics differ between news media sources based on partisanship, and therefore cause divergence in readers' framing. The method of text analysis and its strengths and weaknesses are explained, and an application for the teaching and researching of machine learning in medical education using the methodology of text analysis is considered. An educational method of machine learning in medical education is urgent for future generations.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between corporate reputation and the profitability. In this study, Big Data Analysis was conducted for Hyundai Motor, Shinsegae Department Store, SK Telecom, and Amorepacific to solve research problems. The results of this study show that the effect of each corporate reputation on the profitability is different according to the company. For products such as Hyundai Motor and Amorepacific that are used directly by consumers, the corporate reputation formed by the comments was more influential. In addition, distribution Service company such as Shinsegae Department Store showed more influence by online news. On the other hand, SK Telecom did not have a significant effect on profitability. Based on the results, this study emphasizes the importance of online news and comments on corporate reputation management, and aims to contribute to establishing an efficient reputation management strategy by examining the relationship between corporate reputation and profitability.

In this study, quantitative and content analysis was conducted on 37,818 news articles that were reported on the subject of 'library' for 29 years from 1990 to 2018 in order to analyze the tendency of media coverage about 'library'. First, the quantitative change in media coverage was analyzed according to the criteria by time, subject and media type. In addition, keyword frequency analysis and semantic network analysis were conducted to analyze the trends of the contents of the press and the frames inherent in the press. The results showed that the media showed a major interest in the library's informational, educational, and cultural functions, and the trend of the subject's interest was generally consistent with that of the library community, except for the issue of librarianship. Lastly, the main attitudes that the media take toward the reporting of library articles were the reporting and advertising functions.

Drones are being spreaded for the purposes such as construction, logistics, scientific research, recording, toy and so on. However, anti-drone related technologies which make the opposite drones neutralized are also widely being researched and developed because some drones are being used for crime or terror. The range of anti-drone related technologies can be divided into detection, identification and neutralization. The drone neutralization methods are divided into Soft-kill one which blocks the detected drones using jamming and Hard-kill one which destroys the detected ones physically. In this paper, Google and Naver domestic news articles related to anti-drone were gathered. Analyzing the domestic news articles, 8 of related technologies using RF, GNSS, Radar and so on were found. Regarding as this, the general features and usage status of those technologies were described and those on anti-drone for each company and agency were gathered and analyzed.

The purpose of the present study was to examine psychological consequences of indirect trauma exposure through the disaster news. Participants(N=439) completed some self-report questionnaires such as Posttraumatic Risk Checklist(PRC), Impact of Event Scale-Revised(IES-R), and Multidimensional Fear of Death Scale(MFODS) at 68.11(±18.47) days after the Sewol ferry disaster. The data were analyzed with structural equation modeling by AMOS 23.0 program. The results showed that fear of death and periand post-traumatic crisis factors mediated the association of news exposure immediately after disaster and posttraumatic stress symptoms. Findings in this study indicated that news exposure immediately after disaster influenced fear of death which led to the peri- and post-traumatic crisis, and these crisis factors increased posttraumatic stress symptoms. Finally, limitations of this study and suggestions for future study were discussed.

Purpose: The number of households vulnerable to isolation increases rapidly as social ties decrease, raising concerns about the associated increase in lonely deaths. This study aimed to identify issues related to lonely deaths by analyzing South Korean news articles; and to provide evidence for their use in preventing and managing lonely deaths via community nursing. Methods: This exploratory study analyzed the structure and trends of meaning of lonely deaths by identifying the association between keywords in news articles and lonely deaths. In this study, we searched for all news articles on lonely deaths, covering the period from January 1, 2010, to May 31, 2023. Data preprocessing and purification were conducted, followed by top-keyword extraction, keyword network analysis and topic modeling. The retrieved articles were analyzed using R and Python software. Results: Four main topics were identified: "discovering and responding to lonely death cases", "lonely deaths ending in lonely funerals", "supportive policies to prevent lonely deaths among of older adults", and "local government activities to prevent lonely deaths and support vulnerable populations." Conclusion: Based on these findings, it can be concluded that lonely death is a complex social phenomenon that can be prevented if society shows concern and care. Education related to lonely deaths should be included in nursing curricula for concrete action plans and professional development.
