In the course of the survey of indigenous species, a red algal Hypnea species was collected from eastern coast of Korea. This species is distinct from other species of Hypnea in having percurrent and cylindrical axis, linear to lanceolate branchlets in axes except their lower portion and medullary cell walls without lenticular thickenings. This Korean entity is identified as Hypnea chordacea K$\ddot{u}$tzing (Gigartinales, Rhodophyta) based on those features. This is the first record of Hypnea chordacea in Korea.

A new species of the Cletopsyllidae belonging to the genus Isocletopsyllus Huys and Lee, 1999 is described from the materials collected from subtidal sandy bottoms at Jeju Island and Ulleung Island, Korea. So far, only two species of the genus Isocletopsyllus, viz. I. tertius (Por, 1964) from Israel and I. quartus (Soyer, 1966) from Banyuls-sur-Mer (France) are recorded, both from the Mediterranean Ocean. The new species can be clearly distinguished from its congeners by the combination of the following characters: (1) female antennule with a large process on the outer margin of first segment, (2) caudal rami with a bulbous proximal inner expansion, and shorter than those of other species (about four times long as wide in the new species), (3) second segment of P1 exopod with a short rod-like inner seta, (4) sexual dimorphism presented in the second endopodal segment of male P2, not in exopod of P4, and (6) female P5 with a very long exopod with very short second outer seta. A table comparing the modifications of swimming legs in the family Cletopsyllidae Huys and Lee, 1999 is presented. This is the first record of this family from Korea.

Talipariti simile (Blume) Fryxell, Malvaceae is reported as new record from Vietnam. The plant can be differentiated from its allied species T. macrophyllum (Roxb. ex Hornem.) Fryxell in having glabrescent stems with purplish and smaller hairs, lanceolate-oblong and smaller stipules and ovoid capsules which are devoid of apicule or beaks. Taxonomic description, line drawing and color photographs have been provided to add to the species identification. Furthermore, comparison of the diagnostic characters between this species and the above mentioned related species is made.

Three species of the family Biphyllidae - Biphyllus japonicus Sasaji, 1983, Biphyllus loochooanus Sasaji, 1991 and Biphyllus oshimanus Nakane, 1988 - are reported for the first time in Korea. Descriptions, photographs of the adults and line drawings of the diagnostic characters are provided for all the species recognized in this study.

Previously, 33 species, 18 genera, eight subfamilies of the family Tineidae were reported in Korea. In this study detail a new record to Korea, species, Micrerethista denticulata Davis, 1998 in the subfamily Harmacloninae in Korea. This species is the most widespread species of the genus in southern Asia, ranging from Thailand through Indonesia to southern Japan but absent from New Guinea. Globally, Harmacloninae Davis, 1998 includes 22 species of two genera. The subfamily can be distinguished from the other Tineidae subfamilies by an additional wing locking mechanism, loss of pretarsal arolium and pseudempodial seta, tympanic organ in abdominal sternum II, enlargement of sternal apophyses, and aedeagus with basal midventral keel in male genitalia. The morphological characteristics of this subfamily and species are described, and illustrations of examined species and the key characters for each subfamilies of the family Tineidae from Korea are provided.

A new species belonging to the genus Cyclopinoides Lindberg, 1953 (Cyclopinidae) is described from three beaches in Korea and Japan, as the first record of the genus from the Pacific. Among five species currently recognized in the genus, the new species resembles C. schulzi Herbst, 1964 from the Red Sea in sharing the character combination of 20-segmented antennule and stumpy caudal rami. However, C. orientalis n. sp. differs from it by relatively longer caudal rami (2.5-2.8 times as long as wide in female and about 1.6-1.8 times in male, while less than 2 times in female and about 1.3 times in male of C. schulzi), and by the transformation of an outer distal spine to a slender seta on the distal exopodal segment of leg 4. Moreover, C. orientalis n. sp. is discernible from C. schulzi in having a pyriform copulatory tube (against elongated tubular style in C. schulzi). A key to the species hitherto known in the genus is provided.

A cuckoo wasp species Nipponosega yamanei Kurzenko & Lelej is recorded in Korea for the first time. Of the two forms known from Japan, it is more similar to yamanei-form than kantoensis-form: eye margin almost evenly rounded in frontal view. The species of the two subfamilies, Chrysidinae and Cleptinae, have been listed for the Korean fauna. This species is the first representative of the third subfamily Amiseginae in Korea. It is known to be endemic to Japan. Thus, the distributional range of this species has been extended to the continental part herein. A description is made for further morphological comprehension on the basis of Korean materials.

The species of the genus Athalia Leach from South Korea are reviewed. Six species are listed, one of which is a new record from South Korea (Athalia tanaoserrula Chu and Wang). In South Korean Athalia, we were not able to find any specimens of A. kashmirensis Benson, while many specimens identified as such were a misidentifications of A. tanaoserrula. Therefore, we think that A. kashmirensis should be excluded from the faunal list of South Korea. A key to the species of South Korean Athalia, diagnosis, photographs of the diagnostic characters, distribution and recorded hosts for each species are also provided.

A noctuid species, Avitta puncta Wileman is reported for the first time from Korea. One male of A. puncta was collected from Island Gageo-do, which located at the most southwestern part of the Korean Peninsula.
