강원도 고성 연안에서 채집된 삼세기과 검은띠눈횟대 유어 1개체(32.3 mm SL)를 국내 최초 유어 출현 기록으로 기재 보고한다. 본 종은 몸 전체가 미소한 융모형 비늘로 덮여 있는 점, 안와 상부에 삼각형의 융기연과 잘 발달된 피변이 있는 점, 후두부에 2개의 끝이 무딘 혹 모양의 돌기가 있는 점, 전새개골에 4개의 뭉툭한 가시가 있는 점, 그리고 눈의 하방에 전새개골의 하단까지 도달하는 흑색 띠가 있는 점 등이 특징이며, 일부 계측형질과 체색에서는 성장에 따른 변이가 관찰되었다.

A single juvenile pomacentrid specimen (5.9 mm standard length) was collected from the Korea Strait in October 2010. The specimen is characterized by punctate-stellate melanophores scattered on the operculum and dorso-ventral region in front of the caudal peduncle, the lack of melanophores on the posterior end of the anal fin base, the presence of 14 spines and 14 soft rays on the dorsal fin, and the presence of 2 spines and 12 soft rays on the anal fin. A molecular analysis based on mitochondrial DNA 16S rRNA sequences showed that this specimen is closely related to adult Chromis mirationis (d = 0.002), but that it differs from Chromis notata (d = 0.017). Juvenile C. mirationis differ from juvenile C. notata in having no melanophores on the posterior end of the anal fin base. We propose a new Korean name, "tti-ja-ri-dom" for C. mirationis.

제주도 연안에서 처음 채집된 동갈돔과 유어 1개체(체장 20.7 mm)를 근거로 Apogon semiornatus를 한국미기록종으로서 기재하였다. 본 종은 등지느러미 기조수 VI-I, 9, 가슴지느러미 기조수 12; 뒷지느러미 기조수 II, 8, 채색은 황적색 바탕으로 체측에 2개의 흑색 사행대가 있는 점에서 국내의 동속 유사종과 쉽게 구별되며, 국명은 '검은두줄붉은동갈돔'으로 명명하였다.

In April 2019, a single Peristediidae juvenile (14.1 mm SL) was collected from the waters off of Jeju-do Island, Korea. DNA barcoding identified the juvenile as Peristedion liorhynchus, an unrecorded species in Korea. P. liorhynchus has eight dorsal fin spines, 22 dorsal and 19 anal fin rays, and a long third pectoral fin ray that passes through the middle of the tail at the juvenile stage. Juvenile also have large heads, extensive head spination, and serrated edges on the ocular and parietal spines. This is the first record of P. liorhynchus in Korea; therefore, we propose the new Korean name, "Nam-bang-hwang-seong-dae".

A single juvenile malacanthid specimen (Hoplolatilus chlupatyi) was collected from the South Sea of Korea and identified by DNA barcoding. This species is readily distinguished from other malacanthid species in having well developed rostral spine and elongated spines in the posttemporal and preopercle. A molecular analysis based on mitochondrial DNA COI sequences showed that this species is matched to adult H. chlupatyi (genetic distance = 0.005). Therefore, this is the first record of H. chlupatyi in Korea. We propose new Korean names, "Mu-ji-gae-og-dom-sog" for the genus Hoplolatilus and "Mu-ji-gae-og-dom" for the species H. chlupatyi.

Based on four juvenile specimens of Lutjanus collected from the southern coast of Jeju Island, three species, L. argentimaculatus, L. fulviflamma, and L. quinquelineatus, are described as the first record from Korea. The first species is easily differentiated from other lutjanid juveniles by distinct coloring of the dorsal, pelvic, and anal fins as well as two blue lines below the eye; the second species is characterized by having six yellowish brown stripes below the lateral line and a black spot on the side; the third species is identified by five longitudinal blue stripes and a black spot on the side when fresh. The new Korean names "Bul-geun-tung-dom," "Yuk-seon-jeomtung-dom," and "O-seon-tung-dom" are proposed for L. argentimaculatus, L. fulviflamma, and L. quinquelineatus, respectively.

A single juvenile of the jawfish Stalix toyoshio (24.0 mm standard length) was collected from the South Sea of Korea at a depth of 135 m during box-corer sampling. The specimen was characterized by the absence of stripes on both the body and vertical fins, well-developed cephalic pore systems, yellowish body and fins, six transversely-forked dorsal fin spines, and five mandibular pores. Here, we describe the specimen, which represents the first record of S. toyoshio from Korea and the second record from the northwestern Pacific.

A single specimen of a juvenile Stethojulis trilineata was first collected from the coastal waters of Ulsan, Korea, in October 2012. This species is characterized by IX dorsal fin spines, 26 lateral line scales, 25 vertebrae, dark spots between the 10th and 11th dorsal fin rays, and a caudal peduncle region. The new Korean name proposed is "Se-jul-mu-ji-gae-nol-rae-gi" for S. trilineata.

제주도 동부 및 남부연안의 하구역 또는 포구에서 농어목 활치과에 속하는 Platax orbicularis의 유어 3개체(표준체장 40.7~58.4 mm)를 채집하였다. 본종은 아직 국내에서는 보고되지 않는 한국미기록종으로 체형이 다이아몬드형이며, 등지느러미와 뒷지느러미가 길게 신장되어 각각 5극 35~37연조와 3극 26~27연조로 되어 있다. 본종의 신한국명은 '남방제비활치'라 명명하였다.

A juvenile of the slender fangjaw, Sigmops gracilis G$\ddot{u}$nther, 1878 (Stomiiformes: Gonostomatidae) was collected from Jeju Island, Korea, and identified by DNA barcoding. This species is characterized by its large curved mouth and the presence of 11 dorsal fin rays and 28 anal fin rays. During the juvenile stage, the species is distinguished from other gonostomatid species by the position of the origin of the dorsal fin, which is located at the 7th-8th ray of the anal fin. The Korean name "Sol-ni-ael-tung-i" is proposed for this species.
