Korean species of Achyrolimonia Alexander, 1965, Discobola Osten Sacken, 1865, Elephantomyia Osten Sacken, 1860, Geranomyia Haliday 1833, Helius Lepeletier and Serville, 1828 (in Latreille et al., 1833), Libnotes Westwood, 1876 and Trentepohlia Bigot, 1854 crane flies (Diptera: Limoniidae) are taxonomically revised. Genera Elephantomyia and Trentepohlia, subgenus Libnotes (Afrolimonia) Alexander, 1965, species Achyrolimonia basispina (Alexander, 1924), Geranomyia multipuncta Alexander, 1922, Helius (Helius) nipponensis (Alexander, 1913), Libnotes (Libnotes) amatrix (Alexander, 1922), L. (L.) longistigma Alexander, 1921, and L. (L.) puella Alexander, 1925 are new records for the Korean peninsula. Genera Discobola Osten Sacken, 1865, Geranomyia Haliday, 1833 and Libnotes Westwood, 1876 are new records for South Korea. Identification keys, redescriptions and illustrations of all species and both sexes, if they were found in Korea, are presented.

New occurrences in Korean waters were recorded for two penaeid species: Atypopenaeus stenodactylus (Stimpson, 1860) and Metapenaeopsis toloensis Hall, 1962, which were previously known from the Indo-West Pacific up to southern Japan. The specimens were collected from the southeastern coast of Korea by a shrimp beam trawl. The former is the only known member of the genus Atypopenaeus and the latter is the sixth species of the genus Metapenaeopsis reported in Korea. Morphological descriptions and illustrations with color photographs of the specimens are given. At present, the Korean Penaeidae consist of 20 species in 11 genera. A key to the Korean genera of family Penaeidae is also presented.

한국산 돌좀은 1943년 Silvestri에 의하여 Pedetontus coreanus 1종만이 보고된 바 있다. 본인들이 1890년 부터 2년간 남한의 4개 지역에서 돌좀류를 채집하여 조사한 결과 2속 2신종 1미기록종이 확인되었다. 이들은 돌좀과 (Machilidae)의 Pedetontus longus n. sp.와 Haslundichilis viridis n. sp.이며 Pedetontus unimaculatus는 한국 미기록종으로써 그 모식산지는 일본이다. 따라서 한국 돌좀목은 모두 2속 4종이 된다.

Adults of Chironomidae were collected at Soyang river sites in Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do on 1 August and 14 September in 2008, and 1 May in 2009. A total of 794 adults were collected, consisting of 52 species, 23 genera, 4 subfamilies. Among them, 7 species were recorded in Korea for the first time, and 9 species were new to science. These 7 previously unrecorded and 9 new species are described with illustrations. Eight species still have not been identified. The subfamily Prodiamesinae and four genera: Demicryptochironomus, Parakiefferiella, Psectrocladius and Monodiamesa are the first record in Korea. Tanytarsus seohyoni n. sp. was the most dominant species, consisting of 24.6% of the total samples.

The subfamily Acrocercopinae, is a relatively large group with over 500 described species under 28 genera. In this study, five species of the subfamily Acrocercopinae, Acrocercops distylii Kumata and Kuroko, 1988, Borboryctis euryae Kumata and Kuroko, 1988, Deoptilia heptadeta (Meyrick, 1936), Gibbovalva magnoliae Kumata and Kuroko, 1988, and Psydrocercops wisteriae (Kuroko, 1982), are reported for the first time from Korea. Moreover, four genera, Borboryctis Kumata and Kuroko, Deoptilia Kumata and Kuroko, Gibbovalva Kumata and Kuroko, and Psydrocercops Kumata are reported as new to Korea. Adults and genitalia of all species are described and illustrated.

A new species, Venturia tenuiabdominalis Choi sp. nov., belonging to the subfamily Campopleginae, family Ichneumonidae, is described in South Korea. The subfamily Campopleginae was recorded by Forster in 1869 based on genus Campoplex and more than 2,100 described species into 66 genera have been reported worldwide. Among the 66 genera of Campopleginae, the genus Venturia is one of the large groups, which is more than 140 species worldwide (Yu et al., 2016; Vas, 2019a; 2019b; Vas, 2020; Vas and Di Giovanni, 2020; Han et al., 2021). A taxonomic study of South Korean Venturia was initiated by Choi et al. (2012), who reported Venturia longipropodeum (Uchida, 1942). A key to species of South Korean Venturia, description of new species and diagnostic illustrations are provided.

One new species and six unrecorded are described with illustrations based on the specimens collected in 1970s-1990s in Korea. The genera Phaenopsectra, Xenochironomus, and Smittsia are reported for the first time in Korea.

The present study summarized the occurrence, distribution and autecology about 31 taxa of the green algae (Chlorophytes) collected from several swamps, reservoir and highland wet-lands in the South Korea from 2010 to 2013. This paper deals with a total 31 taxa including of 26 genera which are recorded for the first time in Korea. Among these algae, 18 genera including Pyrobotrys Arnoldi, Volvulina Playfair, Dicellula Svirenko, Echinocoleum Jao & Lee, Hofmania Chodat, Gloeotila Kutzing, Tetrachlorella Korschikov, Botryospherella P.C.Silva etc., were newly recorded in Korean fresh-water algal flora.

In this article, we show that many of the genera that Giulietti and Fanali obtained from subfields of the GK curve can be obtained by using similar techniques used by Garcia, Stichtenoth and Xing. In the meantime, we obtain some new genera from the subfields of GK and generalized GK function fields.

We report four genera and species, Aoplus rufulus (Uchida, 1925), Bystra kusukusensis (Uchida, 1929), Setanta apicalis (Uchida, 1926), and Zanthojoppa speciosa (Uchida, 1926), of the subfamily Ichneumoninae for the first time in Korea. Photographs and descriptions are provided to aid their identification.
