  • Malware is a severe threat to the computing system and there's a long history of the battle between malware detection and anti-detection. Most traditional detection methods are based on static analysis with signature matching and dynamic analysis methods that are focused on sensitive behaviors. However, the usual detections have only limited effect when meeting the development of malware, so that the manual update for feature sets is essential. Besides, most of these methods match target samples with the usual feature database, which ignored the characteristics of the sample itself. In this paper, we propose a new malware detection method that could combine the features of a single sample and the general features of malware. Firstly, a structure of Directed Cyclic Graph (DCG) is adopted to extract features from samples. Then the sensitivity of each API call is computed with Markov Chain. Afterward, the graph is merged with the chain to get the final features. Finally, the detectors based on machine learning or deep learning are devised for identification. To evaluate the effect and robustness of our approach, several experiments were adopted. The results showed that the proposed method had a good performance in most tests, and the approach also had stability with the development and growth of malware.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of patent technology in textile materials using text mining methodology based on Dynamic Embedded Topic Model and Structural Topic Model. It is expected that this study will have positive impact on revitalizing and developing textile materials industry as finding out technology trends. Design/methodology/approach The data used in this study is 866 domestic patent text data in textile material from 1974 to 2020. In order to analyze technology trends from various aspect, Dynamic Embedded Topic Model and Structural Topic Model mechanism were used. The word embedding technique used in DETM is the GloVe technique. For Stable learning of topic modeling, amortized variational inference was performed based on the Recurrent Neural Network. Findings As a result of this analysis, it was found that 'manufacture' topics had the largest share among the six topics. Keyword trend analysis found the fact that natural and nanotechnology have recently been attracting attention. The metadata analysis results showed that manufacture technologies could have a high probability of patent registration in entire time series, but the analysis results in recent years showed that the trend of elasticity and safety technology is increasing.

  • Recently, owing to the development of autonomous vehicles, research on precisely determining the position of a moving object has been actively conducted. Previous research mainly used the fusion of GNSS/IMU (Global Positioning System / Inertial Navigation System) and sensors attached to the vehicle through a Kalman filter. However, in recent years, new technologies have been used to determine the location of a moving object owing to the improvement in computing power and the advent of deep learning. Various techniques using RNN (Recurrent Neural Network), LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory), and NARX (Nonlinear Auto-Regressive eXogenous model) exist for such learning-based positioning methods. The purpose of this study is to compare the precision of existing filter-based sensor fusion technology and the NARX-based method in case of GNSS signal blockages using simulation data. When the filter-based sensor integration technology was used, an average horizontal position error of 112.8 m occurred during 60 seconds of GNSS signal outages. The same experiment was performed 100 times using the NARX. Among them, an improvement in precision was confirmed in approximately 20% of the experimental results. The horizontal position accuracy was 22.65 m, which was confirmed to be better than that of the filter-based fusion technique.

  • As the prevention of fatal accidents is considered an essential part of social responsibilities, both government and individual have devoted efforts to mitigate the unsafe conditions and behaviors that facilitate accidents. Several studies have analyzed the factors that cause fatal accidents and compared them to those of non-fatal accidents. However, studies on mathematical and systematic analysis techniques for identifying the features of fatal accidents are rare. Recently, various industrial fields have employed machine learning algorithms. This study aimed to apply machine learning algorithms for the classification of fatal and non-fatal accidents based on the features of each accident. These features were obtained by text mining literature on accidents. The classification was performed using four machine learning algorithms, which are widely used in industrial fields, including logistic regression, decision tree, neural network, and support vector machine algorithms. The results revealed that the machine learning algorithms exhibited a high accuracy for the classification of accidents into the two categories. In addition, the importance of comparing similar cases between fatal and non-fatal accidents was discussed. This study presented a method for classifying accidents using machine learning algorithms based on the reports on previous studies on accidents.

  • In this paper proposes a method of finding missing persons based on face-recognition technology and deep learning. In this paper, a real-time face-recognition technology was developed, which performs face verification and improves the accuracy of face identification through data fortification for face recognition and convolutional neural network(CNN)-based image learning after the pre-processing of images transmitted from a mobile device. In identifying a missing person's image using the system implemented in this paper, the model that learned both original and blur-processed data performed the best. Further, a model using the pre-learned Noisy Student outperformed the one not using the same, but it has had a limitation of producing high levels of deflection and dispersion.

  • The Counter-battery radar estimates the origin and impact point of the artillery by tracking the trajectory of the shell. In addition, it has the ability of identifying the type of weapon. Depending on the position between the shell and the radar, the detected signals appear differently. This has ambiguity to distinguish the type of shells. This paper compares fuzzy logic and artificial intelligence, which classifies type of shell using the parameter of signal processing step. According to the research result, artificial intelligence can improve identification rate of type of shell. The data used in the experiment was obtained from a live fire detection test.

  • In this paper, we analysis the semi-supervised learning (SSL), which is adopted in order to train a deep learning-based classification model using the small number of labeled data. The conventional SSL techniques can be categorized into consistency regularization, entropy-based, and pseudo labeling. First, we describe the algorithm of each SSL technique. In the experimental results, we evaluate the classification accuracy of each SSL technique varying the number of labeled data. Finally, based on the experimental results, we describe the limitations of SSL technique, and suggest the research direction to improve the classification performance of SSL.

Due to it is open source, malware on the Android platform is rampant. In order to improve the efficiency of malware detection, this paper proposes deep learning Android malicious detection system based on behavior features. First of all, the detection system adopts the static analysis method to extract different types of behavior features from Android applications, and extract sensitive behavior features through Term frequency-inverse Document Frequency algorithm for each extracted behavior feature to construct detection features through unified abstract expression. Secondly, Long Short-Term Memory neural network model is established to select and learn from the extracted attributes and the learned attributes are used to detect Android malicious applications, Analysis and further optimization of the application behavior parameters, so as to build a deep learning Android malicious detection method based on feature analysis. We use different types of features to evaluate our method and compare it with various machine learning-based methods. Study shows that it outperforms most existing machine learning based approaches and detects 95.31% of the malware.

  • We propose a rapid adaptive learning framework for streaming object detection, called EER-ASSL. The method combines the expected error reduction (EER) dependent rollback learning and the active semi-supervised learning (ASSL) for a rapid adaptive CNN detector. Most CNN object detectors are built on the assumption of static data distribution. However, images are often noisy and biased, and the data distribution is imbalanced in a real world environment. The proposed method consists of collaborative sampling and EER-ASSL. The EER-ASSL utilizes the active learning (AL) and rollback based semi-supervised learning (SSL). The AL allows us to select more informative and representative samples measuring uncertainty and diversity. The SSL divides the selected streaming image samples into the bins and each bin repeatedly transfers the discriminative knowledge of the EER and CNN models to the next bin until convergence and incorporation with the EER rollback learning algorithm is achieved. The EER models provide a rapid short-term myopic adaptation and the CNN models an incremental long-term performance improvement. EER-ASSL can overcome noisy and biased labels in varying data distribution. Extensive experiments shows that EER-ASSL obtained 70.9 mAP compared to state-of-the-art technology such as Faster RCNN, SSD300, and YOLOv2.
