Multi-Path DSDV Routing Protocol using Bypass Information in Wireless Mesh Network (무선메쉬 네트워크에서 우회정보를 이용한 다중경로 DSDV 라우팅기법)

  • One of the most famous proactive routing protocols, DSDV (Destination -Sequenced Distance-Vector), is based on the minimum hop count. This paper suggests BIMP(Bypass Information Multi-Path) DSDV routing protocol that this protocol could route reliably as it can take the information of the bypass for the solution of the problem on EHMP DSDV. In this paper, the protocol checks throughput, packet delivery delay, packet delivery ratio, number of management messages, packet transmit finish time, etc on the traffic compared to DSDV, HMP DSDV, and EHMP DSDV protocols.

  • In this paper, an OPS(Optical Protection Socket) unit is designed and prototyped for the application in the optical CPN(Customer Premises Network). The OPS unit, which plays an important role in the CPN for the enhanced network reliability, is consisted of $1{\times}2$ optical fiber splitter, combiner, and $1{\times}1$ optical switch to be a hybrid-typed unit. Various considerations, about power burget and optical information loss have given the most practical design for OPS. From the measurement of the realized OPS unit, it has proved such as the pertinent switching delay time with minimum data loss, the perceptive ability on the ONU degradation, the switching ability on the ONU malfunction.

Fast and Seamless Handoff Control in Wireless ATM Networks (무선 ATM 네트워크에서 빠르고 매끄러운 핸드오프 제어)

  • We propose a distributed anchor Crossover Switches (CX) searching algorithm to play an important role in ensuring fast and seamless handoff control in wireless ATM networks. Within networks that are grouped together, connection management is done for each group by anchor switches, and Permanent Virtual Circuit (PVC) with a narrow bandwidth is assigned between anchors for exchange of information. The proposed algorithm enables quick searching of a targeted CX, makes management of the overall network easier, and reduces system overhead or propagation delay time, thus providing fast and seamless handoff.

  • Optimal neuro-control algorithm is extended to the control of a multi-degree-of-freedom structure. An active mass driver(AMD) system on the top roof is used as an exciter. The control signals are made by a multi-layer perceptron(MLP) which is trained by minimizing a sub-optimal performance index. The performance index is a function of both the output responses and the control signals. Structure having nonlinear hysteretic behavior is also trained and controlled by using proposed control algorithm. In training neuro-controller, emulator neural network is not used. Instead, sensitivity-test data are used. Therefore, only one neural network is used for the control system. Both the time delay effect and the dynamics of hydraulic actuator are included in the simulation. Example shows that optimal neuro-control algorithm can be applicable to the multi-degree of freedom structures.

  • We can easily buy network system for high performance micro-processor, progress computer architecture is caused of high bandwidth and low delay time. Coupling PC-based commodity technology with distributed computing methodologies provides an important advance in the development of single-user dedicated systems. Lately Network is joined PC or workstation by computers of high performance and low cost. Than it make intensive that Cluster system is resembled supercomputer. Unix, Linux, BSD, NT(Windows series) can use Cluster system OS(operating system). I'm chosen linux gain low cost, high performance and open technical documentation. This paper is benchmark performance of Beowulf clustering by UltraSPARC-1K(64bit-RISC processor). Benchmark tools use MPI(Message Passing Interface) and NetPIPE. Beowulf is a class of experimental parallel workstations developed to evaluate and characterize the design space of this new operating point in price-performance.

  • The proposed LDS(Link-status Dependent Scheduling) algorithm in HR-WPAN up to now aims at doing only throughput elevation of the whole network, when the crucial DEV(Device) is connected with worst-link relatively, throughput of this DEV becomes aggravation, The proposed the WGS(Worst-case Guaranteed Scheduling) _algorithm in this paper guarantees throughput of the DEV which is connected with worst-link in a certain degree as maintaining throughput of all DEVs identically even if a link-status changes, decreases delay of the whole network more than current LDS algorithm Therefore proposed WGS algorithm in this paper will be useful in case of guaranteeing throughput of a DEV which is connected worst-link in a certain degree in a design of HR-WPAN hereafter.

  • In this paper, Medium Access Control(MAC) protocol designed for Wireless Body area Sensor Network(Bio-MAC) is proposed, Because in WBSN, the number of node is limited and each node has different characteristics. Also, reliability in transmitting vital data sensed at each node and periodic transmission should be considered so that general MAC protocol cannot satisfy such requirements of biomedical sensors in WBSN. Bio-MAC aims at optimal MAC protocol in WBSN. For this, Bio-MAC used Pattern -SuperFrame, which modified IEE E 802.15.4-based SuperFrame structurely. Bio-MAC based on TDMA uses Medium Access-priority and Pattern eXchange -Beacon method for dynamic slot allocation by considering critical sensing data or power consumption level of sensor no de etc. Also, because of the least delay time. Bio-MAC is suitable in the periodic transmission of vital signal data. The simulation results demonstrate that a efficient performance in WBSN can be achieved through the proposed Bio-MAC.

  • In industrial actual control system, PID controller has been used with its high delicate control system in position control system. PID controller has simple structure and superior ability in several characteristics. When the response of system is changed by delay time, variable load , disturbances and external environment, control gain of PID controller must be readjusted on the system dynamic characteristics. Therefore, a control ability of PID controller is degraded when th control gain is inappropriately determined. When the response characteristic of system is changed under a condition, control gain of PID controller must be changed adaptively to be a waited response of system. In this paper an adaptive-tuning type PID controller is constructed by self-recurrent Neural Network(SRNN). applying back-propagation(BP) algorithm. Form the result of computer simulation in the proposed controller, its usefulness is verified.

Multi-path Routing Policy for Content Distribution in Content Network

  • Content distribution technology, which routes content to the cache servers, is considered as an effective method to reduce the response time of the user requests. However, due to the exponential increases of content traffic, traditional content routing methods suffer from high delay and consequent inefficient delivery. In this paper, a content selection policy is proposed, which combines the histories of cache hit and cache hit rate to collaboratively determine the content popularity. Specifically, the CGM policy promotes the probability of possible superior paths considering the storage cost and transmission cost of content network. Then, the content routing table is updated with the proportion of the distribution on the paths. Extensive simulation results show that our proposed scheme improves the content routing and outperforms existing routing schemes in terms of Internet traffic and access latency.
