  • The Future Internet that includes Real World Objects and the Internet of Things together with the more classic web pages will move communications from a nodecentric organization to an information-centric network allowing new a paradigm to take place. The 4WARD project initiated some works on the Future Internet. One of them is the creation of a Network of Information designed to enable more powerful semantic searches. In this paper, we propose a security solution for a model of information based on a semantic description and search of objects. The proposed solution takes into account both the access and the management of both objects and their descriptions.

  • The monitoring effectiveness not only depends on the effectiveness of the network, but also the costs of the network. Generally the costs of the monitoring network are mainly on the equipment and personnel; the implementation and maintenance; the observation and sample connection; the sample analysis; and the data storage and processing. The cost of the monitoring network can be expressed as a function of monitoring frequency because the monitoring method can be an automatic or a manual measurement. To determine the sampling frequency of subsidiary groundwater monitoring stations, time series data of national groundwater monitoring stations were used. The proposed optimal sampling frequency for subsidiary groundwater monitoring station is about 7 to 20 days and the average frequency is about 2 weeks.

  • The current study attempts to provide the field of knowledge management with theoretical grounds from the perspective of social network, resource dependency, and institutional theory. Social network theory considers that knowledge management plays a critical role in organizational innovation through the process of knowledge sharing/creation, communication systems, and a cooperative culture and trust, whereas resource dependency perceives knowledge management as contributing to cost reduction through the process of knowledge capture/storage, database systems, and reward/incentive systems. Plus, from the perspective of institutionalization, this study discusses that organizations can not benefit from knowledge management if it is adopted with the motive of isomorphic change. Finally, this study compares and integrates the three perspectives, and discusses the implications and limitations.

  • The important issue for intra-city truck dispatching system is to measure and store actual travel speeds between customer locations. Travel speeds(and times) in nearly all metropolitan areas change drastically during the day because of congestion in certain parts of the city road network. We propose a back-propagation neural network model to recognize the pattern of intra-city vehicle travel speeds between locations that relieve much burden for the data collection and computer storage requirements. On a real-world study using the travel speed data[1] collected in Seoul, we evaluate performance of neural network model and compare with Park & Song model[2] that employs the least square method.

  • In this paper, we established ZIGBEE home network and combined smart-grid and u-Healthcare system. We assisted for amount of electricity management of household by interlocking home devices of wireless sensor, PLC modem, DCU and realized smart grid and u-Healthcare at the same time by verifying body heat, pulse, blood pressure change and proceeded living body signal by using SVM algorithm and variety of ZIGBEE network channel and enabled it to check real-time through IHD which is developed by user interface. In addition, we minimized the rate of energy consumption of each sensor node when living body signal is processed and realized Query Processor which is able to optimize accuracy and speed of query. We were able to check the result that is accuracy of classification 0.848 which is less accounting for average 17.9% of storage more than the real input data by using Mjoin, multiple query process and SVM algorithm.

  • Due to the short lifetime of the battery-based sensor network, study on the environmental energy-harvesting sensor network is being performed widely. In this paper, we analyze the system-level requirements on the sensor node which is needed for the efficient solar-powered wireless sensor network for the target application. In addition, we explain how the HW/SW components of our real solar-powered sensor node can satisfy the requirements mentioned above.

  • Sensor network is one of the strongest technologies for various applications including home automation, surveillance system and monitoring system. To ensure secure and robust network communication between sensor nodes, plain-text should be encrypted using encryption methods. However due to their limited computation power and storage, it is difficult to implement public key cryptography, including elliptic curve cryptography, RSA and pairing cryptography, on sensor networks. However, recent works have shown the possibility that public key cryptography could be made available in a sensor network environment by introducing the efficient multi-precision multiplication method. The previous method suggested a broad rule of multiplication to enhance performance. However, various features of sensor motes have not been considered. For optimized implementation, unique features should be handled. In this paper, we propose a fully optimized multiplication method depending on a different specification for sensor motes. The method improves performance by using more efficient instructions and general purpose registers.

  • A two dimensional analysis program for groundwater flow in fractured network was developed to analyze the influence of discontinuity characteristics on groundwater flow. This program involves the generation of discontinuities and also connectivity analysis. The discontinuities were generated by the probabilistic density function(P.D.F.) reflecting the characteristics of discontinuities. And the fracture network model was completed through the connectivity analysis. This program also involves the analysis of groundwater flow through the discontinuity network. The result of numerical experiment shows that the equivalent hydraulic conductivity increased and became closer to isotropic as the density and trace length increased. And hydraulic head decreased along the fracture zone because of much water-flow. The grouting increased the groundwater head around cavern. An analysis of groundwater flow through discontinuity network was performed around underground oil storage cavern which is now under construction. The probabilistic density functions(P.D.F) were obtained from the investigation of the discontinuity trace map. When the anisotropic hydraulic conductivity is used, the flow rate into the cavern was below the acceptable value to maintain the hydraulic containment. But when the isotropic hydraulic conductivity is used, the flow rate was above the acceptable value.

  • In this paper, we are introduced a certification system for open network environment. The Kerberos which was developed by MIT uses a secret key cryptosystem for authentication. It is secure and efficient for closed network users to authenticate each others. However, the kerberos has a disadvantage of managing a lot of secret keys for In this paper, we are introduced a certification system for open network environment. users in the open network environment. This paper suggests a method that uses X.509 to provide public keys with certification to Kerberos users for authentication in the X.500 directory standard. And we also suggest the smartcard as data storage device to enhance the security and availability.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) integrated with the Blockchain is the state of the art for keen cultivation and agriculture. Recently the interest in agribusiness information is enlarging owing to the fact of commercializing the smart farming technology. Agribusiness information are known to be untidy, and experts are worried about the legitimacy of information. The blockchain can be a potential answer for the expert's concern on the uncertainty of the agriculture data. This paper proposes an Agri-Banana plant system using Blockchain integrated with IoT. The system is designed by employing IoT sensors incorporated with Hyperledger fabric network, aims to provide farmers with secure storage for preserving the large amounts of IoT and agriculture data that cannot be tampered with. A banana smart contract is implemented between farmer peer and buyer peer of two different organizations under the Hyperledger fabric network setup aids in secure transaction of transferring banana from farmer to buyer.
