Improving Noise Tolerance in Hopfield Networks

  • Adding a noise tolerance factor to the Relaxation learning algorithm in Hop-field network improves noise tolerance without effecting storage capacity. The new algorithm is called the Pseudo-Relaxation algorithm, and the convergence of the algorithm has been proved. It is also shown that the noise tolerance factor does not effect learning speed.

  • 본 논문은 리눅스 기반의 저장장치 시스템인 NAS (Network Attached Storage)의 기능을 향상시키기 위해 NDMP (Network Data Management Protocol)를 지원하는 NDMPv3 서버모듈을 개발하고 이를 NAS에 탑재한 시스템 구성에 관한 연구이다. 본 논문에서 개발한 NDMPv3 서버모듈은 NDMP 버전 3 표준 SDK(Software Development Kit)를 기반으로 개발되었으며 NDMP 버전 2와의 호환이 가능하도록 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 결과물은 표준 NDMP Control을 이용하여 NDMPv3 서버모듈을 통해 저장장치에서 테이프 드라이브로 백업/복구를 수행 할 수 있는 상태이다.

  • Yi-dong experimental basin is operated for research on the rural basin characteristics and accumulation of a long term data by hydrological observation equipments. It is basin area 9,440ha, length 14.4km and slope 0.67%. Hydrological observation network is constructed of rainfall meter 4points, reservoir storage level 3points and river water level 2points.

  • At an integrated steel mill, various raw material such as coal and iron ore are unloaded from a large ship. The unloaded raw material is then transported to storage yards through a complex belt conveyer network. We propose an optimization model for scheduling the unloading operations under the limitations of available berths, unloading equipments and transportation capacity of the belt conveyer network. We show that the problem is NP-Hard and propose a heuristic approach to the problem.

  • 본 논문은 SAN(storage area network)강에 네트워크-부착형 (network-attached) 저장 장치들을 직접 연결하여 화일 서버 없이 직접 데이터 전송이 가능한 SAN 기반의 리눅스 클러스터 공유 화일 시스템인 SANique$^{TM}$의 오류 탐지 기법 및 회복 기법에 대하여 기술한다. 클러스터 내의 노드 오류에 의해 발생하는 "split-brain"오류 상황 및 문제점을 공유 화일 시스템 환경 하에서 성의하고, 이 문제를 해결할 수 있는 오류 탐지기법을 제시한다.

  • This article describes the hardware design scheme of Hamming MAXNET algorithm which is appropriate for binary pattern classification with minimum HD measurement between stimulus vector and storage vector. Circuit integration is profitable to Hamming MAXNET because the structure of hamming network have a few connection nodes over the similar neuro-algorithms. Designed hardware is the two-layered structure composed of hamming network and MAXNET which enable the characteristics of low power consumption and fast operation with biline volgate sensing scheme. Proposed Hamming MAXNET hardware was designed as quantize-level converter for simulation, resulting in the expected binary pattern convergence property.

  • Custody transfer method is often managed by the general architecture of Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) to provide reliability in the communications through storage and forward paradigm, but can be inefficient when the acknowledgment messages are lost, or the network becomes congested. In this paper we describe a new architecture that is particularly efficient for the custody transfer method. Because, it provides an additional control of acknowledgment messages, consolidate knowledge and services, using the advantage of the cross-over architectures and distribution control through local and global services.

Operation Analysis of a Communication-Based DC Micro-Grid Using a Hardware Simulator

  • This paper describes the operation analysis results of a communication-based DC micro-grid using a hardware simulator developed in the lab. The developed hardware simulator is composed of distributed generation devices such as wind power, photovoltaic power and fuel cells, and energy storage devices such as super-capacitors and batteries. Whole system monitoring and control was implemented using a personal computer. The power management scheme was implemented in a main controller based on a TMS320F28335 chip. The main controller is connected with the local controller in each of the distributed generator and energy storage devices through the communication link based on a CAN or an IEC61850. The operation analysis results using the developed hardware simulator confirm the ability of the DC micro-grid to supply the electric power to end users.
