PDM을 위한 하이브리드 데이터베이스 통합 모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on Hybrid Database Integration Model for Product Data Management)

  • In a centralized database system, all system components reside at a single platform. In recent years there has been a rapid trend toward the integration of information systems over multiple sites that are interconnected via a communication network, and users' needs are changed to integration of multiple information sites. Multi database System is one of solutions for integrating distributed heterogeneous databases. However the problems in multi database system are restriction in distributed environment support, limitation in integrating heterogeneous media type data, static integration, and data-only of integration. In order to solve these problems, we propose a hybrid database integration model, HyDIM. HyDIM is used for the integrating legacy multimedia data, adopting CORBA, MDS, and mediator. We demonstrate a prototype system far PDM application domain.

미국 병원의 네트워크 유형 선택에 영향을 미치는 요인분석 (Factors Influencing to Select Types of U.S. Hospital Network)

  • The study purpose was to find which factors affect selection of hospital network types. This study used the 1998 American Hospital Association Annual Survey Database from Health Forum. Among these U.S. hospitals, the researcher selected hospitals located in Metropolitan Statistical Areas. Therefore the final observation cases for analysis are 1,971 Metropolitan Statistical Area hospitals in the United States. To identify significant variables influencing hospital network types, the study used proportional odds logistics regression model on population size, Health Maintenance Organization penetration rate, and market competition rate of area including a hospital, types of hospital ownership, hospital bed size, proportion of Medicare patients and Medicaid patients in total hospital patients, and occupancy rate. Contrary to conventional wisdom, selection of hospital network types was influenced by population size of area which a hospital located, types of ownership, hospital bed size, and proportion of medicare patients rather than Health Maintenance Organization penetration. Population size 1,000,000-2,499,999 had the highest probability of selecting type IV (clinical-vertical integration) from an independent hospital, and a religious group owned hospitals and for-profit owned hospitals had the highest probability of selecting Type IV (clinical-vertical integration) from an independent hospital. A bed size had positive relation on selecting Type IV (clinical-vertical integration) from an independent hospital. Unlikely general belief that the selecting types of hospital network was determined by the change of health insurance policy such as Health Maintenance Organizations and Preferred Provider Organizations, the types of hospital network were influenced by community characteristics such as population size, and hospital characteristics.

  • 인터넷과 네트워크의 발전에 따라 유선 네트워크와 무선 네트워크가 결합되어 유/무선 통합시대가 전개되고 있다. 유/무선 통합 서비스 중에서 이기종 네트워크 환경에서의 보안 기술에 대한 연구는 아직 미흡한 실정이며, 이기종 네트워크의 융합은 서로 다른 네트워크의 융합으로 인해 기존의 보안 기술 및 통신 기술을 그대로 적용하기가 매우 어려워 보안 측면에서도 많은 취약점을 내포하고 있다. 또한 사용자들이 제공 받는 서비스의 형태는 대부분 이동 사용자를 위한 서비스가 될 것이며, 이러한 서비스에서는 로밍 시 빠른 인증 및 안전성을 제공하여야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 이기종 네트워크 환경에서 로밍 및 AAA 메커니즘에 관한 연구를 진행하여 안전성과 효율성을 제공할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • In order to achieve higher performance and low cost a-Si TFT-LCD panel, new material architecture and its process integration for a-Si TFT array manufacturing method were developed. Material combination of low resistant dry-etchable metal and new pixel electrode under currently adopted 4 mask process made it possible to get more-simplified manufacturing method and better device performance for the a-Si TFT-LCD application. Proposed 4 mask process architecture with optimized wet etchants and dry etching process was applicable to various devices such as notebook, monitor and TV.

A Study on NEMO-partially DMM based E2E Seamless Data Integration Transmission Scheme in SOC Public Infrastructures

  • Nowadays, distributed mobility management (DMM) approaches have been widely adopted to address the limitations of centralized architectural methods to support seamless data transmission schemes in wireless sensor networks. This paper deals with the end-to-end (E2E) integration of Network Mobility (NEMO) basic support protocol in distributed wireless sensor network systems in structural health and environmental monitoring of social overhead capital (SOC) public infrastructures such as bridges, national highways, tunnels, and railroads. The proposed scheme takes advantage of the features of both the NEMO basic support protocol and partially distributed network-based DMM framework in providing seamless data transmission and robust mobility support. The E2E seamless data transmission scheme allows mobile users to roam from fixed-point network access locations and mobile platforms (i.e., vehicles such as cars, buses, and trains) without disconnecting its current sessions (i.e., seamless handover).

  • As enterprises use ATM networks for their private networks and as these private networks use public ATM networks for wide area communication, the need for the customers to be able to manage both private and public networks. Currently, some standardization work is being done towards providing this capability to customers. In this paper, we propose a new customer network management (CNM) system architecture for the management of both ATM a private network and a public network in a uniform way. The particular features of the proposed architecture lies in the efficient support of the complex hierarchial TMN manager-agent relationships at M3 and M4 interfaces, and the support of SNMP and CMIP integration which is necessary for the implementation of a CNM system. The TMN hierarchical many-to-many manager-agent relationships are realized by the utilization of CORBA-Based SMK (Shared Management Knowledge) implementation. We have also implemented the prototype of a ATM CNM system, and measures the performance for the demonstration of the suitability of the proposed architecture.

However, for more productivity of these terminals, integration of the required equipment is most crucial as proved in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM).   • In this research, we create a network infrastructure based on a service-oriented infrastructure (SOI) for the virtualization technology and integrate it with a cloud technology that applies the cloud integration management platform (CIMP) concept. In CIMP, the server and storage will be separated. The server will be adopted for virtualization while the storage will be used by students and teachers to store data. As long they save their data in the storage module, every time, everywhere, and on every device, they can access their data. This research will implement the design of the network infrastructure and be applied to the remote practical learning system in the laboratory. Students and teachers will ultimately adopt this network infrastructure for remote practice using their respective devices without physically meeting in the laboratory. In the future, if the implementation phase is successful, then in addition to laboratory environments, it can be implemented in all learning activities at our campus.

Long Short-Term Memory Network for INS Positioning During GNSS Outages: A Preliminary Study on Simple Trajectories

  • This paper presents a novel Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network architecture for the integration of an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). The proposed algorithm consists of two independent LSTM networks and the LSTM networks are trained to predict attitudes and velocities from the sequence of IMU measurements and mechanization solutions. In this paper, three GNSS receivers are used to provide Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GNSS attitude and position information of a vehicle, and the information is used as a target output while training the network. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated with both experimental and simulation data using a lowcost IMU and three RTK-GNSS receivers. The test results showed that the proposed LSTM network could improve positioning accuracy by more than 90% compared to the position solutions obtained using a conventional Kalman filter based IMU/GNSS integration for more than 30 seconds of GNSS outages.

  • 최근의 망 중립성 논쟁은 전송 차등화와 그에 따른 비용정산으로 전환되고 있으며, 이와 같은 현상은 수직 계열화된 네트워크 사업자가 경쟁 사업자를 배제하기 위한 전략이라는 주장이 제기되고 있다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 본 연구는 네트워크 사업자의 전송 차등화 사례를 분석하고, IX 시장에서 수직 계열화된 네트워크 사업자의 문제점을 검토했다. 연구결과 전송 차등화 현상은 향후 OTT나 스마트TV 응용 프로그램과 같이 범용 망을 사용하는 콘텐츠에 대한 차별화 현상을 가중시킬 것으로 전망되며, 관련법에서는 이와 같은 문제를 해결할 수 있는 방법이 애매한 것으로 나타났다. 더욱이 ISP 시장에서 수직 계열화되어 있고, 상업적으로 운영되는 IPS 사업자들은 경쟁 사업자를 차별하고 이와 같은 현상은 관련법에서도 노골적으로 명시되고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
