택배네트워크의 운영효율성 증진을 위한 시스템 사고 (System Thinking for Increasing the Operational Efficiency of Door-to-door Delivery Network)

  • With steady increase in the demand for door-to-door delivery services, courier service providers are facing a constant pressure to reduce delivery price in order to secure quantity order and to improve the efficiency and reliability for customer service. The objective of this research is to explain the structure of the door-to-door delivery including door-to-door delivery service demand, sorting capacity in the hub-terminal, and the system performance measures such as service reliability networks using causal loop diagram(CLD). Based on causal relation, this research describes a comprehensive approach to examine how capacity reliability contributes to the renewal of the firm's competences through its reciprocal relationship with travel time reliability and connectivity reliability. Also, this research suggests the policy alternatives to improve effectiveness and efficiency of door-to-door delivery network in response to increase customer satisfaction and profit maximization of the courier service providers: operational, tactical, and strategic levels.

Design of Hybrid Network Probe Intrusion Detector using FCM

  • The advanced computer network and Internet technology enables connectivity of computers through an open network environment. Despite the growing numbers of security threats to networks, most intrusion detection identifies security attacks mainly by detecting misuse using a set of rules based on past hacking patterns. This pattern matching has a high rate of false positives and can not detect new hacking patterns, making it vulnerable to previously unidentified attack patterns and variations in attack and increasing false negatives. Intrusion detection and prevention technologies are thus required. We proposed a network based hybrid Probe Intrusion Detection model using Fuzzy cognitive maps (PIDuF) that detects intrusion by DoS (DDoS and PDoS) attack detection using packet analysis. A DoS attack typically appears as a probe and SYN flooding attack. SYN flooding using FCM model captures and analyzes packet information to detect SYN flooding attacks. Using the result of decision module analysis, which used FCM, the decision module measures the degree of danger of the DoS and trains the response module to deal with attacks. For the performance evaluation, the "IDS Evaluation Data Set" created by MIT was used. From the simulation we obtained the max-average true positive rate of 97.064% and the max-average false negative rate of 2.936%. The true positive error rate of the PIDuF is similar to that of Bernhard's true positive error rate.

Space Syntax를 이용한 서울시 버스개편의 접근성 효과 분석 (Accessibility (serviceability) of Hierarchical Bus Network in Seoul)

  • 본 연구에서는 Space Syntax와 통행시간을 이용하여 접근성 산출 방법론을 개발하였다. Space Syntax는 네트워크의 연결성이나 접근성을 정량적으로 쉽게 구할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 하지만 교통에서 중요한 요소인 통행시간이나 거리의 개념이 포함되어 있지 않다. 또한 환승위치에 따라 값이 달라지는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이를 해결하기 위해 내적(Inner Product) 개념을 도입하여 Space Syntax와 대중교통노선의 단위를 일치시켜 링크 단위로 변화하였으며, 통행시간의 변수를 추가하였다. 이 방법론을 적용하여 서울시 강남구를 대상으로 서울시버스 개편효과를 분석하였다. 접근성 산출 결과 서울시 버스개편은 기존 시스템에 비해 효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

TCP 프로토콜을 사용하는 서비스거부공격 탐지를 위한 침입시도 방지 모델 (A Probe Prevention Model for Detection of Denial of Service Attack on TCP Protocol)

  • The advanced computer network technology enables connectivity of computers through an open network environment. There has been growing numbers of security threat to the networks. Therefore, it requires intrusion detection and prevention technologies. In this paper, we propose a network based intrusion detection model using FCM(Fuzzy Cognitive Maps) that can detect intrusion by the DoS attack detection method adopting the packet analyses. A DoS attack appears in the form of the Probe and Syn Flooding attack which is a typical example. The SPuF(Syn flooding Preventer using Fussy cognitive maps) model captures and analyzes the packet informations to detect Syn flooding attack. Using the result of analysis of decision module, which utilized FCM, the decision module measures the degree of danger of the DoS and trains the response module to deal with attacks. For the performance comparison, the "KDD′99 Competition Data Set" made by MIT Lincoln Labs was used. The result of simulating the "KDD′99 Competition Data Set" in the SPuF model shows that the probe detection rates were over 97 percentages.

Analysis of a Large-scale Protein Structural Interactome: Ageing Protein structures and the most important protein domain

  • Large scale protein interaction maps provide a new, global perspective with which to analyse protein function. PSIMAP, the Protein Structural Interactome Map, is a database of all the structurally observed interactions between superfamilies of protein domains with known three-dimensional structure in thePDB. PSIMAP incorporates both functional and evolutionary information into a single network. It makes it possible to age protein domains in terms of taxonomic diversity, interaction and function. One consequence of it is to predict the most important protein domain structure in evolution. We present a global analysis of PSIMAP using several distinct network measures relating to centrality, interactivity, fault-tolerance, and taxonomic diversity. We found the following results: ${\bullet}$ Centrality: we show that the center and barycenter of PSIMAP do not coincide, and that the superfamilies forming the barycenter relate to very general functions, while those constituting the center relate to enzymatic activity. ${\bullet}$ Interactivity: we identify the P-loop and immunoglobulin superfamilies as the most highly interactive. We successfully use connectivity and cluster index, which characterise the connectivity of a superfamily's neighbourhood, to discover superfamilies of complex I and II. This is particularly significant as the structure of complex I is not yet solved. ${\bullet}$ Taxonomic diversity: we found that highly interactive superfamilies are in general taxonomically very diverse and are thus amongst the oldest. This led to the prediction of the oldest and most important protein domain in evolution of lift. ${\bullet}$ Fault-tolerance: we found that the network is very robust as for the majority of superfamilies removal from the network will not break up the network. Overall, we can single out the P-loop containing nucleotide triphosphate hydrolases superfamily as it is the most highly connected and has the highest taxonomic diversity. In addition, this superfamily has the highest interaction rank, is the barycenter of the network (it has the shortest average path to every other superfamily in the network), and is an articulation vertex, whose removal will disconnect the network. More generally, we conclude that the graph-theoretic and taxonomic analysis of PSIMAP is an important step towards the understanding of protein function and could be an important tool for tracing the evolution of life at the molecular level.

무선 센서네트워크에서 네트워크 수명을 최대화하기 위한 에너지 추정 기반의 라우팅 프로토콜 (An Energy Estimation-based Routing Protocol for Maximizing Network Lifetime in Wireless Sensor Networks)

  • 우리는 센서 네트워크의 전체적인 수명을 최대화하기 위한 라우팅 알고리즘을 제안한다. 우리는 매우 복잡한 환경의 센서네트워크를 대상으로 한다. 복잡한 환경은 빌딩 내부 또는 복잡한 도심에 센서 네트워크가 배치될 수 있다는 점에서 실생활에 바로 적용 가능한 환경이다. 복잡한 환경에서는 한정된 공간에 많은 장애물이 놓이기 때문에 장애물들 사이에 낀 좁은 공간들이 있다는 특징을 가진다. 좁은 공간에 놓인 센서 노드는 매우 빈번히 라우팅 경로로 선택되기 때문에 에너지 소비가 많이 예상된다. 이러한 연결노드(relay node)는 주변에 자신이 수행하는 역할을 대신해줄 대안의 노드가 적기 때문에 에너지 고갈 시 네트워크 분할(partition)의 문제로 이어질 수 있다. 네트워크 분할은 네트워크에 다른 센서 노드들의 에너지가 아직 충분하다 할지라도 분할로 인해 데이타를 전송할 수 없는 문제를 야기한다. 따라서 우리의 목적은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 네트워크 분할과 직결된 연결노드의 에너지를 고려하여 네트워크가 최대한의 수명을 가질 수 있게 하는 라우팅 프로토콜을 제한한다. 우리가 제안하는 라우팅 알고리즘은 크게 가중 그래프(weighted graph)를 통한 네트워크 추상화(abstraction)과정과 에너지 추정(estimation) 알고리즘을 거친다. 가중 그래프는 전체 토폴로지를 고려하여 목적지까지 이르는 모든 길에 대한 정보를 알려주고, 에너지 추정 알고리즘을 통해 추가적인 통신 비용 없이 라우팅 정보를 유지할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 전체적 지형의 추상화된 정보를 기반으로 사용 빈도가 높은 노드의 에너지를 관찰, 보호함으로써 전체적인 네트워크의 수명을 연장 및 라우팅 복잡도를 낮추는 라우팅 프로토콜을 제안한다.

추천시스템의 효과적 도입을 위한 소셜네트워크 분석 (Social Network Analysis for the Effective Adoption of Recommender Systems)

  • 협업필터링은 다양한 분야에서 널리 활용되고 있지만 협업필터링의 추천 성능은 적용하는 기업의 비즈니스 형태나 발생하는 거래 데이터의 특성에 따라 다르게 나타나고 있다. 기업에서 협업필터링 추천시스템을 구축하려면 상당한 시간과 비용이 소요되기 때문에 구축된 추천시스템의 성과가 높지 않다면 기업 자원의 낭비를 초래할 뿐만 아니라 부정확한 추천서비스를 받는 고객들의 불만을 살 수 있다. 따라서 추천시스템 도입을 검토할 때 기업이 갖고 있는 데이터의 특성을 파악하고 이를 통해 추천시스템을 도입하는 것이 타당한지 사전에 예측할 수 있다면 불필요한 도입으로 인한 경제적 손실과 고객 만족도 저하를 막을 수 있을 것이다. 기존 연구에서는 협업필터링 추천 성과에 희박성, 우연성, 커버리지 등이 영향을 미칠 수 있다고 설명하고 있지만 이러한 요인들이 어떻게 얼마나 추천 성과에 영향을 미치는지, 요인들 간에 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지는 현재까지 구체적으로 밝혀진 바가 없다. 본 연구에서는 구매 트랜잭션으로부터 생성된 소셜네트워크로부터 밀도, 군집화계수, 집중도 등의 구조적 지표를 측정한 후 이들이 추천성과에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 통계적 분석을 통해 실증적으로 규명한다. 이를 통해 협업필터링 추천시스템에 대한 도입 여부를 결정하고자 할 때 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 지침을 제공하고자 한다.

아파트 단지의 보행효율성에 관한 연구 - 단지 내 보행로를 중심으로 - (An Study of Pedestrian Efficiency in Apartment Complexes - Focused on Pedestrian Path in Apartment Complexes -)

  • This study aims to investigate how easy pedestrians get around within/through the "Apartment Complexes (AC), " a common style of high-rise multi-family housing in Korea. Over the past six decades, the AC has been the most conventional way to provide standardized housing efficiently to address the problems of the shortage of housing and the substandard housing, due to the explosion of urban population with the rapid industrialization. The AC is a huge chunk of homeogenous multi-family housing, mostly condos with decent infrastructure, including parks, pedestrian passages, schools, ect. Both in the new town development and urban renewal programs have utilized the advantages of the AC. Since the design principals of AC tend to adopt the "protective design" to prevent cars and pedestrians coming outside from passing it, it has been criticised for dissecting the continuity of socioeconomic context in neighborhoods. The neo-traditional planning urbanists, including Jane Jacobs, emphasize that smaller blocks and grid road newtworks are the key in improving social, cultural, and economic vitality of the neighborhoods, because these design concepts allow more pedestrians and different types of people to be mixed in a neighborhood. In this study, we first adopted objective measures for pedestrian accessibility and pedestrian efficiency. These measures were used to calculate the lengths of shortest paths from residential buildings to the edges of AC. We tested the difference in shortest paths between the current pedestrian networks of AC and hypothetical grid networks on the AC, and the relative difference is considered as the pedestrian efficiency, using the network analysis function of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Python programming. We found from the randomly selected 30 ACs that the existing non-grid road networks in ACs are worse than the hypothesized grid networks, in terms of pedestrian efficiency. In average, pedestrians in AC with the conventional road networks have to walk than 25%, 26%, and 27% longer than the networks of $125{\times}45m$, $100{\times}45m$, and $75{\times}45m$, respectively. With the t-test analysis, we found the pedestrian efficiency of AC with the conventional network is lower than grid-networks. Many new urbanists stress, easiness of walking is one of the most import elements for community building and social bonds. With the findings from the objective measures of pedestrian accessibility and efficiency, the AC would have limitations to attract people outside into the AC itself, which would increase dis-connectivity with adjacent areas.

MAV 환경에서의 CNN 기반 듀얼 채널 음향 향상 기법 (CNN based dual-channel sound enhancement in the MAV environment)

  • 최근 드론과 같은 멀티로터 UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, 무인항공기)의 산업 범위가 크게 확대됨에 따라, UAV를 활용한 데이터의 수집 및 처리, 분석에 대한 요구도 함께 증가하고 있다. 그러나 UAV를 이용해서 수집된 음향 데이터는 UAV의 모터 소음과 바람 소리 등으로 크게 손상되어, 음향 데이터의 처리 및 분석이 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 UAV에 연결된 마이크를 통해 수신된 음향 신호로부터 목표 음향 신호의 품질을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 단일 채널 음향 향상 기술 중 하나인 densely connected dilated convolutional network를 음향 신호의 채널 간 특성을 반영할 수 있도록 확장하였으며, 그 결과 SDR, PESQ, STOI과 같은 평가 지표에서 기존 연구 대비 좋은 성능을 보였다.

재난 강도에 따른 도로 네트워크의 성능 및 회복력 산정 방안 (Estimation of Road-Network Performance and Resilience According to the Strength of a Disaster)

  • PURPOSES : This study examines the performance changes of road networks according to the strength of a disaster, and proposes a method for estimating the quantitative resilience according to the road-network performance changes and damage scale. This study also selected high-influence road sections, according to disasters targeting the road network, and aimed to analyze their hazard resilience from the network aspect through a scenario analysis of the damage recovery after a disaster occurred. METHODS : The analysis was conducted targeting Sejong City in South Korea. The disaster situation was set up using the TransCAD and VISSIM traffic-simulation software. First, the study analyzed how road-network damage changed the user's travel pattern and travel time, and how it affected the complete network. Secondly, the functional aspects of the road networks were analyzed using quantitative resilience. Finally, based on the road-network performance change and resilience, priority-management road sections were selected. RESULTS : According to the analysis results, when a road section has relatively low connectivity and low traffic, its effect on the complete network is insignificant. Moreover, certain road sections with relatively high importance can suffer a performance loss from major damage, for e.g., sections where bridges, tunnels, or underground roads are located, roads where no bypasses exist or they exist far from the concerned road, including entrances and exits to suburban areas. Relatively important roads have the potential to significantly degrade the network performance when a disaster occurs. Because of the high risk of delays or isolation, they may lead to secondary damage. Thus, it is necessary to manage the roads to maintain their performance. CONCLUSIONS : As a baseline study to establish measures for traffic prevention, this study considered the performance of a road network, selected high-influence road sections within the road network, and analyzed the quantitative resilience of the road network according to scenarios. The road users' passage-pattern changes were analyzed through simulation analysis using the User Equilibrium model. Based on the analysis results, the resilience in each scenario was examined and compared. Sections where a road's performance loss had a significant influence on the network were targeted. The study results were judged to become basic research data for establishing response plans to restore the original functions and performance of the destroyed and damage road networks, and for selecting maintenance priorities.
