  • This paper was carried out from 15 June to 24 December in 2000 in Lake İznik of Turkey, to determine catch per unit effort (CPUE) and size composition of crayfish, Astacus leptodactylus Eschscholtz 1823, captured by fyke-nets of local fishermen. The average CPUE of all size groups was found as 1.65 crayfish/fyke-net/night for fishing season in 2000, but 26.4% of which was below the legal minimum size (crayfish<90 mm). The average CPUE of legal-sized (crayfish$\geq$90 mm) crayfish was 1.10 crayfish/fykenet/night. The annual catch of crayfish was estimated as 2990 tonnes. The length and weight compositions of crayfish captured in the fyke-nets have varied between 60 and 130 mm, and 6 and 71 g, respectively. The mean length and weight were found as 95.5 mm and 28.8 g for all size groups and 100.1 mm and 33.0 g for legal-sized individuals.

  • Recently there are many attempts that IT convergence has been studied together with very different sector like art and music. If it is possible to make a formal model with combination of engineering with strong creative sector like music, there will be some advantages to analyze its contents easily. In this study, the model has been provided to utilize music analysis and compose algorithm through the formal model research of Sonata. To this end, this study has been provided a formal model of Sonata with the Petri net model being widely used and verify the effectiveness of the proposed model on the case of Piano Sonata K. 332.

  • As distributed computing systems become popular, many modeling techniques and methods have been developed in specify the specification formally and verify the distributed/concurrent sytems. In spite of importance of communication in distributed object-oriented systems, specifying of communication method generally has not been emphasized in the design phase. One reason is due to the system designer misunderstanding, that is, a specification needs to be independent on the implementation. However, since defining communication pattern indistributed object-oriented systems is more serious than the required message passing method in the design phase. specifying the communication pattern is necessary instead of postponing until the implementation. In this paper, two formal specification techniques, temporal logic method and Petri nets method, for the communication in distributed systems are discussed. One is based on the temporal logic, which specifies the different patterns of primitive predicates. This method enable to define the underlying mechanism which can be interpreted as constraints. The Petri net method helps to specify the dynamic behavior of communicational patterns using the properties of Petri nets.

  • In the present paper we introduce and study fundamental concepts in the framework of L-fuzzifying topology(so called(2,L)-fuzzy topology)as L-concepts where L is a complete residuated lattice. The concepts of (2,L)-derived, (2,L)-closure, (2,L)-interior, (2,L)-exterior and (2,L)-boundary operators are studied and some results on above concepts are obtained. Also, the concepts of an L-convergence of nets and an L-convergence of filters are introduced and some important results are obtained. Furthermore, we introduce and study bases and subbases in (2,L)-topology. As applications of our work the corresponding results(see[10-11]) are generalized and new consequences are obtained.

  • In this parer, we introduce an algorithm to control flows of the traffic in multi-intersections. It is pointed out that the main problem in traffic control is how to resolve the congested situations for the particular time-durations and directions. The heavy load to a certain direction usually leads the intersection to congested situations, and the adjacent intersections are affected. We control and analyze the traffic flow of multi-intersections consisting of five intersections, in which four intersections are linked to the four directions of the central one. The entrance of vehicles of each direction is described using the concept of probability. We compare the performance of the pretimed signal controls to the traffic adaptive signal controller using a Petri Net simulation tool, Exspect.

  • In order to investigate the relation between the environmental factors influencing on the fluctuation of fishing condition and the catch of anchovy in gill nets in the coastal waters of Yosu, five oceanographic factors, i.e., water temperature, salinity, chlorophyll-a and the catch of anchovy in gill nets are observed from June 6 to August 12 in 1993. The results obtained are summerized as follows: 1) The water temperature ranged from 16.$0^{\circ}C$ to 22.6$^{\circ}C$ and the salinity from 30.13$\textperthousand$ to 33.65$\textperthousand$. the water temperature and salinity showed no significant influence on the catch of anchovy, but the catch did not expose high values in low temperature and salinity. 2) The catch of anchovy increased with the amount of chlorophyll-a. It is therefore emphasized that the amount of chlorophyll-a is the greatest one of environmental factors influencing on the catch of anchovy.

  • For CMOS, this paper propose a new global routing algorithm in which macrocells and I/O padcells can be treated. Not only predefined feedthrough in base array, but also some polysilicon line which are not assigned as inputs are used to prevent the overflow of nets passing through the row. The signal nets are assigned on their feedthrough by the maze router. By treating macrocells and I/O padcell, the routing from internal to I/O cell can be done automatically and a kind of is constraints in design process can be reduced.

  • In B2B e-commerce environments, many initiatives for process modeling have made efforts to design business processes correctly. Especially, Petri nets have been widely used as a good theory to design and verify process models. Therefore, we propose the process modeling method for the B2B e-commerce based on Petri nets. First of all, a B2B process model based on BPSS is represented by the UML activity diagram. Second, the activity diagram is transformed to a Petri net model. For the transformation, well-behaved building blocks/control structures and the modeling rules for inter-organizational workflow processes are proposed. Third, the process is partitioned into sharable processes for individual business partners. Finally, according to needs of individual business partners, the sharable processes are modified by well-structured refinement rules. The whole procedure is explained with the purchase process of an e-bookstore.

  • Due to the serial nature of scan chains, the use of the boundary scan chain leads the high application costs. And with 3-state net, it is important to avoid enabling the two drivers in a net. In this paper, the new test method for 3-state nets in the multiple boundary scan chains is presented. This method configures the boundary scan cells as multiple scan chains and the test application time can be reduced. Also three efficient algorithms are proposed for testing the interconnects in a board without the collision of the test data in 3-state nets.

  • We consider, in this paper, a UML-based design support system for real-time systems. However, the UML does not include any notion for verification of timing constraints. We presents transformation algorithms, as a function of the support system, of UML descriptions into Petri nets and Interval Temporal Logic models, which are very powerful for the verification. This paper shows also transformation example for simple elevator system.
