음이항 회귀모형을 이용한 공간구문론 및 도시특성요소가 범죄발생에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Influence of the Space Syntax and the Urban Characteristics on the Incidence of Crime Using Negative Binomial Regression)

  • 본 연구는 부산광역시를 대상으로 범죄발생에 영향을 미치는 요인 특히, 공간구문론에 의한 영향을 분석한 실증적 연구이다. 정확한 분석을 위해 본 연구에서는 가산자료 분석의 대표적 방법인 포아송 회귀분석과 음이항 회귀분석을 활용하여 분석을 수행하였다. 5대 범죄발생에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 총 13개 변수 중 8개 변수가 유의하게 나타났다. 인구학적 특성변수에서는 여성인구비율, 65세 노인인구 비율이, 토지이용 특성변수에서는 행정구역면적과 상업지면적비가 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 범죄대응 특성변수인 CCTV는 그 수가 증가할수록 범죄발생은 감소한다고 나타났다. 공간구문 특성변수에서는 연결도, 국부통합도, 전체통합도가 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 그 중에서 연결도는 그 수치가 낮을수록 연결된 다른 공간이 적기 때문에 갑작스런 방해자의 출현 가능성이 낮고, 통행인에 의한 감시도가 낮아져 범죄발생 요인이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석들을 통해 본 연구는 차후 범죄예방적 측면의 도시계획 입안 및 실천에 기여할 수 있는 기초적 자료를 제공하고자 한다.

Statistical study on nightside geosynchronous magnetic field responses to interplanetary shocks

  • When an interplanetary (IP) shock passes over the Earth's magnetosphere, the geosynchronous magnetic field strength near the noon is always enhanced, while the geosynchronous magnetic field near the midnight decreases or increases. In order to understand what determines the positive or negative magnetic field response at nightside geosynchronous orbit to sudden increases in the solar wind dynamic pressure, we have examined 120 IP shock-associated sudden commencements (SC) using magnetic field data from the GOES spacecraft near the midnight (MLT = 2200~0200) and found the following magnetic field perturbation characteristics. (1) There is a strong seasonal dependence of geosynchronous magnetic field perturbations during the passage of IP shocks. That is, the SC-associated geosynchronous magnetic field near the midnight increases (a positive response) in summer and decreases (a negative response) in winter. (2) These field perturbations are dominated by the radial magnetic field component rather than the north-south magnetic field component at nightside geosynchronous orbit. (3) The magnetic elevation angles corresponding to positive and negative responses decrease and increase, respectively. These field perturbation properties can be explained by the location of the cross-tail current enhancement during SC interval with respect to geosynchronous spacecraft position.

  • 최근 검색 태스크에서는 좋은 negative sample을 얻는 방법론들이 적용되어 큰 성능 향상을 이뤘다. 하지만 좋은 negative sample 대부분의 방법들은 큰 계산 비용이 든다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 계산 비용이 적고 효과적인 negative sample을 얻기 위해 Mixed Gaussian Recurrent Chain (MGRC) sampling을 사용하여 feature 공간상에서 의미론적으로 유사한 feature를 얻고 이를 negative sample로 활용하여 기존 baseline 모델보다 좋은 성능을 얻었다.

Extreme Enhancements in GPS TEC on 8 and 10 November 2004

  • It is a mistaken impression that the midlatitude ionosphere was a very stable region with well-known morphology and physical mechanism. However, the large disturbances of midlatitude ionospheric contents in response to global thermospheric changes during geomagnetic storms are reported in recent studies using global GPS TEC map and space-born thermospheric UV images, and its importance get higher with the increasing application areas of space navigation systems and radio communication which are mostly used in the midlatitudes. Positive and negative storm phases are used to describe increase and decrease of ionospheric electron density. Negative storms result generally from the enhanced loss rate of electron density according to the neutral composition changes which are initiated by Joule heating in high-latitudes during geomagnetic storms. In contrast, positive ionospheric storms have not been well understood because of rare measurements to explain the mechanisms. The large enhancements of ground-based GPS TEC in Korea were observed on 8 and 10 November 2004. The positive ionospheric storm was continued except for dawn on 8 November, and its maximum value is ~65 TECU of ~3 times compared with the monthly mean TEC values. The other positive phase on 10 November begin to occur in day sector and lasted for more than 6 hours. The O/N2 ratios from GUVI/TIMED satellite show ~1.2 in northern hemisphere and ~0.3 in southern hemisphere of the northeast Asian sector on 8 and 10 November. We suggest the asymmetric features of O/N2 ratios in the Northeast Asian sector may play an important role in the measured GPS TEC enhancements in Korea because global thermospheric wind circulation can globally change the chemical composition during geomagnetic storms.

  • Space charge formation at high temperature was investigated in several polymers using pulsed electro-acoustic (PEA) method. In SXLPE, homocharge is found and increased as an increase of temperature. In a charge of polarity of poling voltage(positive to negative), space charge mainly cause of hole injection. In Ionomer, heterocharge is found because of ion. As an increase of temperature heterocharge is also increased. In PET, As an increase of temperature homocharge is decreased.

An autonomous synchronized switch damping on inductance and negative capacitance for piezoelectric broadband vibration suppression

  • Synchronized switch damping (SSD) is a structural vibration control technique in which a piezoelectric patch attached to or embedded into the structure is connected to or disconnected from the shunt circuit in order to dissipate the vibration energy of the host structure. The switching process is performed by a digital signal processor (DSP) which detects the displacement extrema and generates a command to operate the switch in synchronous with the structure motion. Recently, autonomous SSD techniques have emerged in which the work of DSP is taken up by a low pass filter, thus making the whole system autonomous or self-powered. The control performance of the previous autonomous SSD techniques heavily relied on the electrical quality factor of the shunt circuit which limited their damping performance. Thus in order to reduce the influence of the electrical quality factor on the damping performance, a new autonomous SSD technique is proposed in this paper in which a negative capacitor is used along with the inductor in the shunt circuit. Only a negative capacitor could also be used instead of inductor but it caused saturation of negative capacitor in the absence of an inductor due to high current generated during the switching process. The presence of inductor in the shunt circuit of negative capacitor limits the amount of current supplied by the negative capacitance, thus improving the damping performance. In order to judge the control performance of proposed autonomous SSDNCI, a comparison is made between the autonomous SSDI, autonomous SSDNC and autonomous SSDNCI techniques for the control of an aluminum cantilever beam subjected to both single mode and multimode excitation. A value of negative capacitance slightly greater than the piezoelectric patch capacitance gave the optimum damping results. Experiment results confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed autonomous SSDNCI technique as compared to the previous techniques. Some limitations and drawbacks of the proposed technique are also discussed.

Power output and efficiency of a negative capacitance and inductance shunt for structural vibration control under broadband excitation

  • Structural vibration control using a piezoelectric shunt is an established control technique. This technique involves connecting a piezoelectric patch, which is bonded onto or embedded into the vibrating structure, to an electric shunt circuit. Thus, vibration energy is converted into electrical energy and is dissipated through a network of electrical components. Different configurations of shunt have been researched, among which the negative capacitance-inductance shunt has gained prominence recently. It is basically an analog, active circuit consisting of operational amplifiers and passive elements to introduce real and imaginary impedance on the vibrating structure. The present study attempts to model the behavior of a negative capacitance-inductance shunt in terms of power output and efficiency using circuit modeling software. The shunt model is validated experimentally and is used to control the structural vibration of an aluminum beam, connected to a pair of piezoelectric patches, under broadband excitation. The model is also used to determine the optimal parameters of a negative capacitance-inductance shunt to increase the efficiency and predict the voltage output limit of op-amp against the supply voltage.

  • This study explored the sandplay therapy case of a woman with a negative mother complex who wants to be free from family life. The goal of the therapy was to make her free from family life by expressing repressed emotions for getting out of a negative mother complex under a free and protected space in sandplay therapy. Twenty-three therapy sessions were held. The client exhibited a singing woman in a gorgeous dress and things she wanted to do in the initial phase of therapy (1-4, forgotten myself). In the intermediate phase of therapy (5-15, differentiation and integration), she displayed the scenes of differentiation and integration by emotionally getting rid of a begging boy and making mandalas. In the final phase of therapy (16-23, recovered myself), she showed scenes of rebirth, upgrading and singing songs again in front of family members and many people. Through sandplay therapy in the free and protected space, this study showed the effectiveness of sandplay therapy since the client achieved individuation by showing rebirth, having a new personality.

  • 도시공간 활용의 효율화를 통한 도시문제의 해결과 지상개발 억제를 통한 도시경관 및 환경보존의 측면에서 새롭게 부각되고 있는 지하공간은 수요증가가 예상되는 지상 부 도시기능을 지하에 배치함으로써 도시의 서비스, 어메니티, 안정성 등을 증진시킬 수 있으며, 효율적인 도시공간 구조의 구축을 통하여 교통, 도심 복잡화, 토지부족 등의 문제를 해결하는데 효과적인 대응방안이 될 수 있다. 그러나 소극적이고 단편적인 개발에 국한되어 있는 현시점에서는 극히 부정적인 공간으로 인식되고 있으며, 이를 극복하여 쾌적한 환경을 조성해야 하는 필요성에 당면하게 되었다. 이에 지상공간의 공급한계와 이에 따른 지가상승의 문제와 함께 지상환경의 보존이라는 측면에서 지하공간의 개발은 도시변화의 예측을 수반하여 입체적 구성을 위한 장기적인 계힉을 수반하여 입체적 구성을 위한 장기적인 계획이 되어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 지하공간의 환경디자인 가치를 지하공간에 대한 총체적인 접근을 통해 검증하고, 환경설계 평가에서 다루어지는 기능적 인자, 기술적 인자, 행태 적 인자를 통해 평가모델을 설정함으로써 지하공간 개발 시 고려되어야 할 디자인요소를 추출하고자 한다.

아파트 외부공간 실태와 조성기법 (A Study of Residents' Demand for External Space of Apartment Site)

  • This study derives problems of external space utilization site from on-site observation and questionnaire survey in order to suggest solutions for the problems. The main results are follows. First, fences as visual boundaries of apartment site play some negative roles - separation of space and heterogeneity of circumstance. This study suggests green fences to cure this problem. Second, residents want to change space use - ground to be used as green space or space for relaxation in stead of parking lots, elevator hall as social space, and underground as bike parks or health centers. Third, rooftop space, used as empty space or machine storage space, should be designed to be utilized as relaxation space by making easy to enter and exit.
