  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of attitude towards parent brand on extended fashion products in case of fashion brand extension. The subjects of this study were 386 college students and data were collected using survey questionnaire. For data analysis, factor analysis and path analysis were applied. The results showed that there were four factors (e.g., familiarity attitude, emotional attitude, value-expressive attitude, utility information attitude) in attitude towards parent brand and six factors (e.g., economical risk, utilitarian risk, social risk, psychological risk, time/advantage loss risk, risk for losing opportunity) under perceived risk in extended product. The results showed that attitude towards parent brand had a negative effect on perceived risk in extended products and had a positive effect on attitude towards extended products. Perceived risk in extended products then had a negative effect on purchase intention of extended products whereas attitude towards extended products had a positive effect on purchase intention of extended products.

  • This study examines the structural relationships between functional-congruity, self-congruity and their consequences, under coffee shop consumption setting. More specifically, it investigates how functional-congruity and self-congruity influence emotional responses (comprising positive and negative emotions) and store attitude formation. The authors propose a structural equation model comprising five constructs. Data were collected from 280 college students in Seoul and analyzed by LISREL 8.30. The findings can be summarized as follows: First, functional congruence of coffee shop customers appeared to have a positive effect on positive emotions and a negative effect on negative emotions. Second, self-congruity has a positive effect on coffee shop customers' positive emotions. Third, the effect of coffee shop customers' positive emotions on store attitude formation was positive and statistically significant while the effect of negative emotions on store attitude formation was negative. These results suggested that the effect of functional-congruity and self-congruity on store attitude formation was mediated by positive emotions and negative emotions.

  • Malicious rumors often emerge online. However, few studies have examined why people spread online rumors. Recognizing that spreading online rumors is not only rational, but also emotional, this paper provides insights into the behavior of online rumor spreading using the cognitive emotion theory. The results show that perceived credibility of online rumors enhances both positive and negative emotions. However, positive emotions affect neither attitude nor behavior, whereas negative emotions affect both aspects of the spreading of online rumors. The results also indicate that prior positive attitude toward object influences negative emotions. Issues involvement moderates the relationship between attitude and behavior.

  • This study performed corroborative analysis by establishing hypothesis so as to corroboratively define the effect on brand attitude of psychological risk recognition in the case where consumers reading negative media news related to bakery recognize crisis communication on the basis of which point. According to corroborative analysis, the role of psychological crisis perception as parameter is confirmed in the causal relation between crisis communication recognition and brand attitude. Such result of study confirms that the positive change in crisis communication recognition reduces psychological risk perception to bakery products and such psychological risk perception eventually become factor which affects brand attitude over products. Such result of study suggests that when reading negative media news on bakery, the influence on consumer's evaluation of news on the basis of certain point and the influence on the formation of causal relation between psychological risk perception and brand attitude has scientific ground. In the aspect, the main result of this study is to find the clue that when comparing precedent study between crisis communication recognition and brand attitude, psychological risk perception is realized with brand attitude as media by verifying the parameter role of psychological risk perception.

Methods: Participants were 216 preschool children including 116 boys and 100 girls from day care centers and preschools located in Chungchung province and Seoul. EAS was used to measure the children's negative emotionality. The children's empathy quotient was used to measure empathy. Mothers reported their attitude toward children's emotional expression. Results: The results revealed that the association between empathy and maternal suppression of children's emotional expression was significant only for the children with high levels of negative emotionality. Moreover, the magnitude of association between empathy and maternal acceptance of children's emotional expression was greater for high levels of negative emotionality. Conclusion/Implications: It was concluded that these findings supported the differential susceptibility model.

Furthermore, the more negative emotional attitude they displayed, the higher the level of perceived behavior control they had. On the contrary, the relationships between knowledge and perceived behavior control varied with exposure situation to environmental pollution. Second, after the environmental education program was administered to the experimental group, the preschoolers from experimental group exhibited more knowledge, more negative emotional attitude, higher perceived behavior control and more active behavioral intention towards environmental pollution than those in the control group.

The results of analyses on the characters of each type are as follows. The men who belong to type I is positive to the Shamanism in recognition and attitude at the same time. The men who belong to type II are negative the analysis of the recognition and attitude to Shamanism in recognition, but positive to Shamanism in practical attitude. The men who belong to type III are evidently negative to Shamanism in recognition and attitude at the same time. The men who belong to type IV are positive to Shamanism, but negative or reservative to it in attitude. • Background: Asia is on track to become the region with the most elderly people in the world. The elderly population will reach 922.7 million by the middle of this century. Therefore, they will be cared for by the today's youth. Negative attitudes toward older people can make adolescents more uncomfortable relating to them. Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate validity and reliability of Kogan's attitude toward old people among nursing students in Thailand, Myanmar, and Indonesia. Methods: Content validation of the 34-item Kogan's attitude toward old people was examined by three geriatric nursing experts. The reliability was evaluated on 600 nursing students, from nursing colleges in Thailand (200), Myanmar (200), and Indonesia (200). Findings: The attitude scores towards the elderly ranged from 34 to 238. All of the 34 items were found to have significant item-to-total correlations (p< .05). The reliability results were as follows: In Thailand, Cronbach's alpha was .70 for the total scale, .72 for the positive scale, and .68 for the negative scale. In Myanmar, Cronbach's alpha was .68 for the total scale, .65 for the positive scale, and .66 for the negative scale. In Indonesia, Cronbach's alpha was .66 for the total scale, .71 for the positive scale, and .72 for the negative scale. Conclusions: These findings suggest that Kogan's attitude toward old people is reliable and valid for nursing students from Thailand, Myanmar, and Indonesia. However, Kogan's attitude toward old people should be revised by these countries, including changing wording on all items for better reliability. The revised version must then be tested for reliability and validity.
