Reduced tungsten bronze nanoparticles of ternary and quaternary compounds were prepared by adding sodium and cesium to crystal structures of tungsten trioxides ($Na_xCs_{0.33-x}WO_3$, x = 0, 0.11) while maintaining the overall alkali metal fraction at 0.33, in an attempt to control near infrared (NIR) shielding property in the particular wavelength range of 780 to 1200 nm. The structure and composition analysis of the quaternary compound, $Na_{0.11}Cs_{0.22}WO_3$, revealed that 93.1% of the hexagonal phase was formed, suggesting that both alkali metals were mainly inserted in hexagonal channel. The NIR shielding property for $Na_{0.11}Cs_{0.22}WO_3$ was remarkable, as this material demonstrated efficient transmittance of visible light up to 780 nm and enhancement in NIR shielding because of the blue-shifted absorption maximum in comparison to $Cs_{0.33}WO_3$.
East Asia is characterized by anthropogenic emissions resulting from the large population and fast economic growth of this region. Since the prevailing wind is westerly and northwesterly, emissions from Ul-jin can be expected to contribute to acidic deposition increase in downwind direction. Aerosols collected at the near coast site, Uljin geun, gyungbook and were analyzed for $NH_4{^+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Na^+$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Cl^-$, $SO_4{^{2-}}$, and $NO_3{^-}$ from Aug. 2012 to Feb. 2013. The seasonal averaged aerosol concentration showed the highest potassium and calcium ion in winter and the highest ammonium ion due to a meadow and high solar intensity in summer. Sodium and chloride ion showed the same ratio all seasons and sulfate and nitrate species showed the maximum value in winter Chemical components of aerosols collected at the near coast site, Uljin geun, gyungbook were lower by 16 to 73% than those collected at other similar environment site such as kanghwa, yangyang. Comparing air quality data at the near coast site, Uljin geun, gyungbook, There was found that Uljin coast site is less influenced by the sea salts(potassium, magnesium, calcium) and nss-$SO_4{^{2-}}$ percentage is 3~13% higher than similar condition site.
Recently, EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) becomes very important, which demands the measurement of EMI (electromagnetic interference) in the chip level. NFS (near-field scanning) systems defined in IEC 61967 and IEC 62508 are typical methods to analyze EMI in the chip level. As chips becomes faster, frequency measurement of NFS system should become wideband, but it degrades SNR (singal-to-noise ratio) of the NFP (near-field probe). This paper surveys SNR enhancement technologies of the NFS while maintaining wideband characteristics.

We evaluate the impact of near work has on myopia and how they differ across generation. The study subjects were 201(83 males and 118 females) adults who live in Cheongju and Daejeon. Myopia was defined as more than or equal to (-)2.50D. The subjects were divided myopic and control group. The surveys and eye tests that are related to near work and refractive error were conducted and the relationship between the degree of myopia and near work was investigated. Then, the groups were divided into people in their 20s and 30s and the comparisons were made again. The survey results showed significant differences between myopic and control groups that depended on: hours spent in school and outdoor activities during high school period, degree of refractive error caused by level of exercises during the junior high school and high school years, refractive error based on the type of high schools, also hours spent in school and outdoor activities. When the same question was done on the group in their 20s and 30s, there was a different outcome in trends between the groups and refractive error depending on whether they exercised. The degree of near work is one of the environmental risk factors that affect myopia and must be considered when studying myopic progression. However, when discussing specific behavioral patterns in relations to myopia prevention, culture and visual environment of a given generation must also be considered.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting the roundabout accidents near schools. This study gives particular attentions discussing characteristics by pedestrian accident severity using the ordered logit models. In pursuing the above, 63 roundabouts installed before 2014 are surveyed for modeling. the traffic accident data from 2014 to 2016 are collected from TAAS data set of Road Traffic Authority. Such 35variables explaining the accidents as environment, human, geometries, school and roundabout factor are selected from literature reviews. The main results are as follows. First, the ordered logit models (${\rho}^2$ of 0.272, $x^2$ of 24.723) which is statistically significant have been developed. Second, environment factor variable is analyzed to be day or night ($X_1$ ), human factor variables are evaluated to be driver gender($X_4$), older driver($X_5$), pedestrian gender($X_7$) and children pedestrian($X_8$ ). Third, geometries factor variable are analyzed to be speed limit sign($X_{16}$) and median barrier($X_{21}$), school factor variables are evaluated to be hump-type crosswalk($X_{25}$), CCTV($X_{26}$) and school zone sign($X_{27}$), roundabout factor are analyzed to be roundabout sign($X_{30}$) and number of circulatory roadway lane($X_{32}$). Finally, this study could give some implications to decreasing the accidents severity at roundabout near schools.

In this paper, we propose an electric field enhanced postexposure baking (EFE-PEB) method to obtain deep and high aspect ratio pattern profile in near-field recording. To describe the photoacid distribution under an external electric field during the PEB, we derived the governing equations based on Fick's second law of diffusion. From the results of the numerical calculations, it is found that the vertical movement of photoacid increases while the lateral movement is stationary as electric field varies from 0 to $8.0{\times}10^6\;V/m$. Also, it is proven that the profile of near-field recording is improved by using the EFE-PEB method with increased depth, higher aspect ratio and larger sidewall angle.

When an interplanetary (IP) shock passes over the Earth's magnetosphere, the geosynchronous magnetic field strength near the noon is always enhanced, while the geosynchronous magnetic field near the midnight decreases or increases. In order to understand what determines the positive or negative magnetic field response at nightside geosynchronous orbit to sudden increases in the solar wind dynamic pressure, we have examined 120 IP shock-associated sudden commencements (SC) using magnetic field data from the GOES spacecraft near the midnight (MLT = 2200~0200) and found the following magnetic field perturbation characteristics. (1) There is a strong seasonal dependence of geosynchronous magnetic field perturbations during the passage of IP shocks. That is, the SC-associated geosynchronous magnetic field near the midnight increases (a positive response) in summer and decreases (a negative response) in winter. (2) These field perturbations are dominated by the radial magnetic field component rather than the north-south magnetic field component at nightside geosynchronous orbit. (3) The magnetic elevation angles corresponding to positive and negative responses decrease and increase, respectively. These field perturbation properties can be explained by the location of the cross-tail current enhancement during SC interval with respect to geosynchronous spacecraft position.

In this paper, we evaluated shielding effectiveness (SE) of carbon nanotube (CNT) film using near field scanning (NFS) in near field analysis. We adopted CNT film with deposit carbon density of 5% and thickness of 1mm for evaluation of shielding characteristic. Using a test coupon analogized to an actual IC package, we measured SE according to measuring position and SE according to distances between the CNT film and the test coupon. As a result, the measured SE in the near field varied with frequency. Especially, the measured electric field SE in the center of the test coupon is better than that of the measured edge point of the test coupon where it is affected by fringing effect. The results show that the measured SE in the near field is affected not only by frequency but also by measurement environment such as position and height of the probe and height of shielding film. In conclusion, we should choose proper methods for SE measurement considering interference distance in the electronic control system because there is little correlation between the proposed evaluation method in the near field and ASTM D 4935-10.
The near field is discretized into finite elements, and the far field into infinite elements. Closed form far-field solutions to three fundamental problems are used as the shape functions of the infinite elements. Such infinite elements are capable of transmitting all surface and body waves. An efficient scheme to integrate numerically the stiffness and mass matrices of these elements in presented. Results agree closely with those obtained by others.
A method to make the near and far images for a double layer 3D display system to create continuous depth illusion has been studied. The luminance ratio between the near and far images should be allocated based on the tone reproduction characteristics of the display systems.
