A mixture of (Z,Z)-3,13-octadecadien-1-yl acetate(1) and its (E,Z)-isomer(2), the sex pheromone of the cherry tree borer, Synanthedon hector Butler was synthesized. (Z)-11-Octadecen-1-al(3) was prepared from 1,10-decandiol. The Wittig reaction the above aldehyde3 with carboethoxymethylenetriphenylphosphorane, or the Wadsworth-Emmons reaction of the above aldehyde3 with the anion of triethylphosphonoacetate gave ethyl (Z,Z)-2,13-octadecadienoate and its (E,Z)-isomer. Deconjugative protonation of ethyl (Z,Z)-2,13-octadecadienoate and its (E,Z)-isomer with potassium hexamethyldisilazide followed by aqueous ammonium chloride work-up afforded stereoselectiv디y ethyl (E,Z)-3,13-octadecadienoate and its (Z,Z)-isomer, respectively, of which stereoselectivity was adjusted to give the product in the required ratio. Exposure of the above deconjugated ester to excess lithium aluminium hydride resulted in formation of the penultimate (Z,Z)-3,13-octadecadien-1-ol and its (E,Z)-isomer. Acetylation of the desired alcohols afford the final products, (Z,Z)-3,13-octadecadien-1-yl acetate(1) and its (E,Z)-isomer(2).
The CO substitution reactions of the complex, $Cp(S-2,4-Me_2C_5H_5)CrCo$ with $PR_3(PR_3=PMePh_2,\;P(OCH_3)_3,\;PMe_2Ph)$ were investigated spectrophotometrically at various temperatures. From the reaction rates, it was suggested that the CO substitution reaction took place by first-order (dissociative) pathway. Activation parameters in decaline were ${\Delta}H^{\neq}\;=\;22.0\;kcal{\cdot}mol^{-1}$, ${\Delta}S^{\neq}=\;-3.8cal{\cdot}mol^{-1}{\cdot}K^{-1}$. Unusually low value of ${\Delta}S{\neq}$ suggests an ${\eta}^5-S{\to}{\eta}^5-U$ conversion of the pentadienyl ligand. This suggestion was confirmed by the Extended-Huckel molecular orbital (EHMO) calculations, which revealed that the total energy of $Cp(S-2,4-Me_2C_5H_5$)CrCO is about 0.42 kcal/mol more lower than that of $Cp(U-2,4-Me_2C_5H_5)CrCO$ and the energy of $[Cp(U-2,4-Me_2C_5H_5)Cr{\cdots}CO]^{\neq} $ transition state is about 2.43 kcal/mol lower than that of $[Cp(S-2,4-Me_2C_5H_5)Cr{\cdots}CO]^{\neq}$ transition state.

Constructed wetlands are improvised man-made systems, designed for adopting the principle of natural wetlands for purifying wastewater - the elixir of life. They are used widely as a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution for treating greywater generated from different tertiary treatment sources. It provides an elaborate platform for research activities in an attempt to recycle earth's natural resources. Among the several organic impurities removal mechanisms existing in constructed wetland systems, the earth's active microbial population plays a vital role. This review deals with the recent advancements in constructed wetland systems from a microbiological perspective to (effect/ devise/ formulate) chemical and physical treatment for water impurities. It focuses on microbial diversity studies in constructed wetlands, influence of wetland media on microbial diversity and wetland performance, role of specific microbes in water reuse, removal of trace elements, some heavy metals and antibiotics in constructed wetlands. The impurities removal processes in constructed wetlands is achieved by combined interactive systems such as selected plant species, nature of substrate used for microbial diversity and several biogeochemical effected reaction cycles in wetland systems. Therefore, the correlation studies that have been conducted by earlier researchers in microbial diversity in wetlands are addressed herewith.
A Very Low Pressure Reactor (VLPR) is constructed for the kinetic study of atom-molecule bimolecular elementary reactions. The basic principles and the versatility of the method are described. By using the VLPR technique the forward (k1) and the reverse (k-1) rate constants for Br atom reaction with trimethylsilane are studied; Br + $(CH_3)_3$SiH k1 ${\leftrightarrow}$ k-1 HBr + $(CH_3)_3$Si. From the kinetic data and the entropy estimation the bond dissociation energy for Si-H bond in trimethylsilane is calculated to be 90.1 kcal/mole $({\pm}1.1$ kcal/mole). The Arrhenius parameters for k1 are found to be log A = 10.6 l/mole·sec, $E_a$ = 4.4 kcal/mole respectively. For the comparison purpose analogous reaction for carbon compound ; Br + $(CH_3)_3$CH ${\rightarrow}$ HBr + $(CH_3)_3$C was also studied. The corresponding rate constant and equilibrium constant at $25^{\circ}C$ are found to be 2.67 ${\times}$$10^6l$/mole${\cdot}$sec and 160 respectively.

Li-bearing hectorite, one member of trioctahedral smectite, occurred large in quantity and confirmed in Turkey western sedimentary boron deposit. Li-bearing hectorite attracted a particular attention because it is one of potential lithium resources. There have been no consensus for the change of hectorite due to heat and acid treatment although it is very important to use in industrial application. In this study, we examined changes of hectorite after heat and acid treatment as well as acid treatement followed by heating. We used clay ores collected in Bigadic deposit, which contained the highest $Li_2O$ content in Turkey boron deposits. Hectorite showed a strong endothermic reaction at $84^{\circ}C$ due to dehydration of absorbed water and interlayer water and a weak endothermic reaction above $600^{\circ}C$ owing to dehydration of crystallization water. The first endothermic reaction accompanied a large weight loss about 6%. Hectorite decomposed into enstatite, cristobalite and amorphous Fe material at $762^{\circ}C$ with exothermic reaction. When hectorite reacted with 3 kinds of 0.1 M acid during 1 hours, it had a good dissolution efficiency with $H_2SO_4{\geq}HCl$ > $HNO_3$ in order.
This study derives the relative cross-section for the natW(p,xn)176Re nuclear reaction by measuring the gamma rays generated from the nuclear reaction with natural tungsten using a 100 MeV linear accelerator of the Korea Multi-purpose Accelerator Complex in the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. In general, research on isotopes with a short half-life always shows a tendency that the intensity of radioactivity decreases rapidly within a short period of time, making it very difficult to measure itself. In particular, 176Re is one of the relatively short radionuclides with a half-life of 5.3 minutes. In this study, 109.08 keV gamma rays generated from the 176Re isotope having such a short half-life were measured using a high-purity Ge detector(HPGe detector). The obtained relative measurements were the results in the 8 to 14 MeV proton energy domain published by Richard G. in 1967, and the TENDL-2019 value, which was the result of A. J. Koning in 2019, which evaluated the nuclear reaction cross-section by calculation based on this comparative analysis was performed. The results of this study are expected to be usefully applied to the design of nuclear fusion reactor which is known as future energy sources, elements ratio for the nuclear synthesis of astrophysics.

The photochemical reaction of aqueous ethanol saturated with argon and carbon monoxide has been investigated using 184.9 nm UV light. The photochemical reaction of $1{\times}10^{-2}$ M aqueous ethanol saturated with argon results in the formation on the acetaldehyde and 2,3-butanediol. The irradiation of the solution saturated with carbon monoxide causes the formation of carbonylation and carboxylation products such as ${\alpha}$-hydroxypropionaldehyde, formaldehyde, glyoxal, formic acid, oxalic acid and glyoxylic acid in addition to above two products. But in the case of concentrated ethanol solutions, the irradiation did not give carbonylation and carboxylation products. The initial quantum yields of the products were determined and probable mechanisms for the reaction were presented on the basis of product analysis.
Mast cell-mediated allergic disease is involved in many diseases such as anaphylaxis, asthma and atopic dermatitis. The discovery of drugs for the treatment of allergic disease is an important subject in human health. In the present study, the effect of water extract of Gleditsiae Spina (WGS) (Leguminosae), on compound 48/80-induced systemic allergic reaction, anti-DNP IgE antibody-induced local allergic reaction, and histamine release from human mast cell line (HMC-1) cells were studied. In addition, the effect of WGS on phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) plus calcium ionophore A23187 (A23187)-induced gene expression and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines were investigated using HMC-1 cells. WGS was anally administered to mice for high and fast absorption. WGS inhibited compound 48/80-induced systemic allergic reaction. WGS dose-dependently decreased the IgE-mediated passive cutaneous anaphylaxis. WGS reduced histamine release from HMC-1 cells. In addition, WGS decreased the gene expression and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines in PMA plus A23187-stimulated HMC-1 cells. These findings provide evidence that WGS could be a candidate as an antiallergic agent.
A pressure effect of the dehydrogenation of ethylalcohol catalyzed by alcoholdehydrogenase was observed in Tris-HCl buffer, pH 8.8 from $25^{\circ}C$ to $35^{\circ}C$ under high pressure system by using our new theory. The theory makes it possible for us to obtain all rate and equilibrium constants for each step of all enzymatic reaction with a single intermediate. We had enthalpy and volume profiles of the dehydrogenation to suggest a detail and reasonable mechanism of the reaction. In these profiles, both enthalpy and entropy of the reaction are positive and their values decrease with enhancing pressure. It means that the first step is endothermic reaction, and its strength decrease with elevating pressure. At the same time, all activation entropies have large negative values, which prove that not only a ternary complex has a more ordered structure at transition state, but also water molecules make a iceberg close by the activated complex. In addition to this fact, the first and second step equilibrium states are controlled by enthalpy. The first step kinetic state is controlled by enthalpy but the second step kinetic state is controlled by entropy.

The growth in human has a close relationship with circumstances and there are two different types of form as a method. One of them Is a great influence of which the environment has a certain effect to human and that is called environmental effect. The other one Is a great reaction of human against the environment which is environmental experience. Human's being loved nature and conservation of nature as a living condition have already processed out for a long time. However, in these days, it is different that a special emphasis on the conservation of nature is being destroyed and it Is perceived the principal of the destruction is human itself. The Museum of Natural Environment has no doubt in a relation with conservation of nature. The main subject of this thesis Is to restore the disappearing beauty in natural environment, an importance of resources in general needs and a change in futuristic perceptions against preservation of the species. Therefore, to produce a complexity in a combination with education and entertainment to a water resource as a main theme is now relieved from its original deteriorated public information center with its simpleness. It Is purposed to secure a cultural space for a community activity and regional peculiarities, dams and lakes, localities of rivers as a main theme to specify their details, to maximize its educational space furtherance with a value as a tourist resource in particular.
