The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic impacts of National Natural Recreation Forests using a regional input-output (I-O) model. Based on the regional I-O transactions tables developed by Bank of Korea (2009), National Natural Recreation Forests related sectional multipliers were derived with respect to output, income, employment, and value-added. Furthermore, surveys questioned National Natural Recreation Forests visitors in order to estimate per capita expenditures. The result shows that one National Natural Recreation Forests generated 3,380 million Won of output impact, 328 million Won of income impact, 1,017 million Won of value-added impact, and 22 full-time jobs within local effect, respectively. Also, one National Natural Recreation Forests generated 687 million Won of output impact, 85 million Won of income impact, 245 million Won of value-added impact, and 6 full-time jobs outside local effect, respectively.
This paper attempts to estimate the natural rates of output and interest of Korea in a simple DSGE set-up with a few stylized New Keynesian features using Bayesian methods. The major findings of this paper are as follows. First, the estimates of output gaps are less volatile than the measures from conventional approaches, although they exhibit non-negligible variations depending on the model specification. Another key finding is that the hybrid type Phillips curve with a backward-looking component and/or habit formation in consumption may play an important role in characterizing the macroeconomic dynamics of Korea.
A detailed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation analysis model was developed using ANSYS CFX 16.1 and analyzed to simulate the basic design and internal flow characteristics of a 180 MW small modular reactor (SMR) with a natural circulation flow system. To analyze the natural circulation phenomena without a pump for the initial flow generation inside the reactor, the flow characteristics were evaluated for each output assuming various initial powers relative to the critical condition. The eddy phenomenon and the flow imbalance phenomenon at each output were confirmed, and a flow leveling structure under the core was proposed for an optimization of the internal natural circulation flow. In the steady-state analysis, the temperature distribution and heat transfer speed at each position considering an increase in the output power of the core were calculated, and the conceptual design of the SMR had a sufficient thermal margin (31.4 K). A transient model with the output ranging from 0% to 100% was analyzed, and the obtained values were close to the Thot and Tcold temperature difference value estimated in the conceptual design of the SMR. The K-factor was calculated from the flow analysis data of the CFX model and applied to an analysis model in RELAP5/MOD3.3, the optimal analysis system code for nuclear power plants. The CFX analysis results and RELAP analysis results were evaluated in terms of the internal flow characteristics per core output. The two codes, which model the same nuclear power plant, have different flow analysis schemes but can be used complementarily. In particular, it will be useful to carry out detailed studies of the timing of the steam generator intervention when an SMR is activated. The thermal and hydraulic characteristics of the models that applied porous media to the core & steam generators and the models that embodied the entire detail shape were compared and analyzed. Although there were differences in the ability to analyze detailed flow characteristics at some low powers, it was confirmed that there was no significant difference in the thermal hydraulic characteristics' analysis of the SMR system's conceptual design.

This paper introduces a new technique that can extract natural frequencies and damping ratios from output-only vibration data. Firstly, the free vibration data is obtained from the cross correlations of the output-only response data using a singular value decomposition process. Secondly, the well-known system identification algorithm is applied to extract the natural frequencies and damping ratios from the extracted free vibration data. Comparing to ERADC technique, the accuracy of the proposed modal parameter identification algorithm has been numerically examined. Furthermore, the practicability of the proposed algorithm has been examined through the output-only acceleration data collected from the Seohae cable-stayed bridge. Using the proposed technique, total 24 modes have been identified for the deck plate motions of the bridge.

Parameter modification of a linear finite element model(FEM) based on modal sensitivity matrix is usually performed through an effort to match FEM modal data to experimental ones. However, there are cases where this method can't be applied successfully; lack of reliable modal data and ill-conditioning of the modal sensitivity matrix constitute such cases. In this research, a novel concept of introducing feedback loops to the conventional modal test setup is proposed. This method uses closed-loop natural frequency data for parameter modification to overcome the problems associated with the conventional method based on modal sensitivity matrix. We proposed the whole procedure of parameter modification using the closed-loop natural frequency data including the modal sensitivity modification and controller design method. Proposed controller design method is efficient in changing modes. Numerical simulation of parameter estimation based on time-domain input/output data is provided to demonstrate the estimation performance of the proposed method.

Background: Experiments with small electrochemical apparatus were previously carried out for detecting low-energy neutrinos under irradiation of reactor neutrinos and under natural neutrino environment. The experimental result indicated that the output current of reactor-neutrino irradiated detector was appreciably larger than that of natural environmental one. Usual interaction cross-sections of neutrinos are quite small, so that they do not explain the experimental result at all. Materials and Methods: To understand the experimental data, we propose that some biological products may generate AV-type scalar field B0, leading to a large interaction cross-section. The output current generation is ascribed to an electrochemical process that may be assisted by weak interaction phenomena. Dissolved oxygen concentrations in the detector solution were measured in this study, for the purpose of understanding the mechanism of the detector output current generation. Results and Discussion: It was found that the time evolution of experimental output current was mostly reproduced in simulation calculation on the basis of the measured dissolved oxygen concentration. Conclusion: We mostly explained the variation of experimental data by using the electrochemical half-cell analysis model based on the DO concentration that is consistent to the experiment.

To improve efficiency of diesel engine which requests high output recently and is used all kinds of industrial areas, this thesis experimented dynamic characteristics and exhaust gas characteristics of diesel engine installed by supercharger of correspondent output 200HP and natural inhalation diesel engine through the dynamometer and exhaust gas analyzer in same condition. As the result of experiment with natural inhalation diesel engine and diesel engine installed by supercharger, there were a few differences of output, but dynamic characteristics at high speed showed increased output and efficiency of the engine installed by supercharger. On the contrary, in exhaust gas characteristics, the model installed by supercharger showed increased exhaust gas such as $NO_X$, $O_2$, etc, but added value of exhaust gas is low if considering $CO_2$ reduction and efficiency of dynamic characteristic's increase. Based on the results, diesel engine installed by supercharger is expected to show higher economic feasibility than natural inhalation diesel than natural inhalation engine from an angle of efficiency. We have investigated the output characteristics of the 946 nm Nd:YAG laser which is longitudinally pumped by a fiber coupled laser diode. The temperature of a Nd:YAG crystal mount was kept constant by a controller with thermoelectric cooler. As a result, we measured more intense output at a low temperature, and then the maximum output power was measured to be 870 mW when the pumping power and the temperature were 9.95 W and $5^{\circ}C$, respectively. It appeared that output was decreased above 10 W pump power because of the thermal effects in gain medium.
The present paper is concerned with the design of distributed sensors and actuators. Strain type sensors and actuators are considered with their intensity continuously distributed throughout a continuous structure. The sensors measure a weighted average of the strain tensor. As a starting point for their design we introduce the concept of collocated sensors and actuators as well as the so-called natural output. Then we utilize the principle of virtual work for an auxiliary quasi-static problem to assign a mechanical interpretation to the natural output of the sensors to be designed. Therefore, we take the virtual displacements in the principle of virtual work as that part of the displacement in the original problem, which characterizes the deviation from a desired one. We introduce different kinds of distributed sensors, each of them with a mechanical interpretation other than a weighted average of the strain tensor. Additionally, we assign a mechanical interpretation to the collocated actuators as well; for that purpose we use an extended body force analogy. The sensors and actuators are applied to solve the displacement tracking problem for continuous structures; i.e., the problem of enforcing a desired displacement field. We discuss feed forward and feed back control. In the case of feed back control we show that a PD controller can stabilize the continuous system. Finally, a numerical example is presented. A desired deflection of a clamped-clamped beam is tracked by means of feed forward control, feed back control and a combination of the two.

It is essential to examine and analyze the power output and load responses together using real-world turbulent wind speeds. In this paper, the power controller and the drive train damper are simultaneously considered using the NREL 5MW wind turbine model, and the damage equivalent load(DEL) of the low speed shaft torque and power output responses according to the natural frequency of the second order low pass filter are simultaneously investigated. Numerical testing is carried out above rated wind speed using commercially available Bladed software. From the viewpoints of DEL reduction of the drive train shaft torque and power output responses, it is shown that the natural frequency of the low pass filter is appropriately about 6 to 10rad/s. And the reduction ratio of the DEL of the low-speed shaft torque decreases as the wind speed becomes higher, and it is confirmed that the reduction ratio is limited to about 20% at high wind speeds.
