  • This study demonstrates that ease of use, usefulness, and hedonic desires affect the intention to use smart signage, based on market delimitations. Smart signage is at an early phase of adoption and its market can be divided broadly into indoor and outdoor markets. In this study, an empirical study model was established in conjunction with the technology acceptance model (TAM), which was applied to the IT area of a smart signage map and to a hedonic model. Empirical results showed that the key hedonic attributes affecting the intention to use smart signage include information delivery for the indoor environment and emotional and entertainment content for the outdoor environment. In the future, specific guidelines can be presented to boost the usage of smart signage through an empirical study based on the identification of external factors that affect usage intention.

  • M-learning is one of the most important modern learning environments in developed countries, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the Ministry of Education policies in Saudi Arabia, gender segregation in education reflects the country's religious values, which are a part of the national policy. Thus, it will help many in the target audience to accept online learning more easily in Saudi society. The literature review indicates the importance to use the UTAUT conceptual framework to study the level of acceptance through adding a new construct to the model which is Mobile Application Quality. The study focuses on the end user's requirements to use M-learning applications. It is conducted with a qualitative method to find out the students' and companies' opinions who working in the M-learning field to determine the requirements for the development of M-learning applications that are compatible with the aspirations of conservative societies.

  • Understanding public perception on nuclear research reactor is necessary for the policy maker to adopt such technology in Thailand, especially the locals who live in the proposed location. The study compared perceptions between the locals living near the proposed nuclear research reactor location (within 5 km) and those living in the outer region (5-15 km). Structural equation modeling technique was adopted by assuming casual relationships between latent variables including social status, information perception, trust, benefit perception and risk perception on the local acceptance of research reactor. The results showed that the strongest relationships for both the inner and the outer perimeters were from information perception toward technology acceptance via trust and benefit perception. While both zones showed similar results, the outer perimeter seemed to show slightly stronger effects than those in the inner perimeter.

  • Sea mustard (Undaria pinnatifida), an important edible seaweed belonging to the brown algal family of Alariaceae, contains copious physiologically active substances. It has long been popular in Korea as a food and is frequently consumed in the form of soup. It is also commercially available as a home meal replacement. In this study, we developed a seasoning key base with a high degree of sensory preference from sea mustard using the extrusion cooking process. Extrusion cooking conditions were optimized through response surface methodology. Barrel temperature (X1, 140℃-160℃) and screw speed (X2, 158-315 rpm) were set as independent variables, and overall preference was determined as the dependent variable (Y, points). An optimal condition was obtained at X1 = 148.5℃ and X2 = 315 rpm, and the dependent variable (Y, overall acceptance) was 7.95 points, similar to the experimental value of 7.81. Umami taste had a relationship with the overall acceptance of sea mustard seasoning. In the electronic nose and tongue, increased sourness and umami intensities were associated with the highest sensory score. The samples were separated well by each characteristic via principal component analysis. Collectively, our study provides imperative preliminary data for the development of various seasonings using sea mustard.

  • In this paper the author surveys the available literature on "bioregionalism", a relatively new intellectual tradition evolved from the North American environmental social movements of the 1970s and 1980s. The so-called "bioregional approach" is gaining acceptance among environmental planners in North America and elsewhere, and has attracted the attention of some geographers. (omitted)ographers. • This research was carried out to evaluate the royal jelly production in Apis mellifera through the selection of superior honeybee lines. For the study, two inbred honeybee lines A and C were evaluated for the production of royal jelly by their workers, royal jelly production per colony (g), and the acceptance percentage of grafted larvae (%). The results showed that, the average royal jelly production per colony was highest ($33.7{\pm}7.41g$) in the inbred line C in comparison to other lines and the percentage of larvae acceptance ($87.8{\pm}7.5%$) was also highest in the inbred line C in comparison to other liens. The royal jelly produced by the three honeybee lines was analyzed for their trans-10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA) content using a column liquid chromatography technique. Chromatographic results showed that the royal jelly produced by the inbred honeybee line C had the maximum amount of 10-HDA. We also observed age-dependent alterations of the major royal jelly proteins (MRJPs), which were differentially expressed in the two inbred lines and the commercial line, using quantitative real time-PCR (qRT-PCR).

  • Purpose: This study was aimed at investigating the recognition and attitude of inpatients for the purpose of facilitating the implementation of the home health care program in relation to the opening of the Home Care Department in P University Hospital in Pusan. Method: Data were collected from the questionnaires returned by 293 patients, who were admitted at P University Hospital. from May 1 to May 15, 2001 and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Fisher exact test. Results: In regard to the previous information about the home health care program, 55.6% of the inpatients heard about the name through the advertisement in the hospital. the mass communication, and from acquaintances. The percentage of right answers regarding the knowledge of home health care program was 43.9%. In regard to the acceptance of the home health care program, 97.1 % of patients agreed with the implementation of the home care program. The reasons for acceptance were: the maintenance of the continuity of care, the alleviation of the family burden of time. Conclusion: For the stabilization and successful implementation of a home health care system, it should be accompanied not only by advertisement but also education for patients about the home health care program, and a post-evaluative study after the implementation.

  • In this paper, fire resistance test was carried out to obtain class H-120 thermal insulation of fire dampers according to a hydrocarbon fire conditions. Specimens were fabricated three different types according to the change of the insulation system applied to damper blade and coaming which were measured surface temperature by performing the fire resistance test. As a test result, specimen-1, 2 of an uninsulated damper blade were exceeded thermal insulation acceptance criteria at 21 minutes, 46 minutes respectively, but specimen-3 of an insulated damper blade was satisfied thermal insulation acceptance criteria during 120 minutes. The test results showed that the insulation of the damper blade was an important factor in the fireproof performance of fire dampers concerning the coaming length minimum 500 mm on the unexposed side as specified test standard.

  • The new version of sikhye(sweet rice drink) was prepared by adding sweet pumpkin (SP) in order to improve customers' preferences for sikhye by modifying the color, and flavor, as well as health functionality. The independent variables were sweet pumpkin amount(0, 2, 4, 6, and 8% malt powder extract) and storage periods(0, 3, 6, 9, and 12 days). Each sample was measured by using physicochemical and sensory evaluations, and results were statistically tested to examine significant differences among samples. pH increased with higher amounts of added pumpkin. As additional levels of sweet pumpkin increased, the Hunter's L value decreased, whereas the b value increased. In a consumer acceptance test, all characteristics except for sweetness were significantly different at p<0.05. The overall acceptability, including yellowness, malt aroma, and sweetness in the pumpkin added sample was estimated to be better than the comparative sample was. There was no significant difference between SP4, SP6, and SP8, but SP2 showed a lower preference than other samples.
