  • ZnO nanostructures with various shapes were synthesized under ambient pressure condition by a wet chemical reaction method. Nanorods of ZnO with hexagonal cross-section and their aggregates with radiate shape were synthesized. Precursor concentration affected considerably the shape evolution of ZnO nanorods. Low precursor concentration was proved to be more preferable to the growth of ZnO nanorods, which is attributed to the intrinsic characteristics of chemical reaction in the synthesis of ZnO from zinc compounds.

  • In this work, a coplanar-type plasma flat fluorescent lamp having cross type of electrode was fabricated by screen printing and sealing technique. Cross type of electrode with a dielectric layer were screen-printed on a rear glass plate, and then fired at $550^{\circ}C$. Phosphor was printed on and fired at $450^{\circ}C$. Finally, the lamp was sealed by frit glass at $450^{\circ}C$. The lamp of cross electrode type was studied depending on the electrode gap and the thickness of dielectric layer.

  • Roll-printed organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) were fabricated by gravure or flexography printing using patterned PDMS stamp with various channel lengths, silver pastes, coated polyvinylphenol dielectric, and jetted bis(triisopropyl-silylethynyl) pentacene semiconductor on plastic substrates. The roll-printed OTFT parameters were obtained: fieldeffect mobility of $0.1\;cm^2/Vs$, an on/off current ratio of $10^4$ and a subthreshold slope of 2.53 V/decade.

  • Micro wall is fabricated using iterative screen printing that it is able to fabricate the pattern as low cost, simple process, formation of pattern at large area on the various substrates. In the process of micro wall fabrication using screen printing, the printing result with pressure change in process and improvement of surface roughness using hydrophillic plasma treatment are included. Height of micro wall increase linearly and precision of iteration is very high. Error rate of printed pattern width is very high, but change rate of width is under 10 %. Fabricated micro pattern have minimum width $48.75{\mu}m$ and maximum height $75.45{\mu}m$ with aspect ratio 1.55.

  • The properties of carbon nanotube obtained by thermal chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process were investigated as a function of ammonia $(NH_3)$ gas in hydrocarbon gas, Fe catalyst thickness, and growth temperature. Fe catalyst was prepared by DC magnetron sputter and pre-treated with ammonia gas. CNTs were then grown with ammonia-acetylene gas mixture by thermal CVD. The diameter of these CNTs shows a strong correlation with the gas rate, the catalyst film thickness and temperature. From our results, it was found that the factors of grown CNTs positively acted to improve CNT quality.

  • The mechanism of biological materials structure is very complex and has optimal properties compared to engineering materials. Top Neck mollusks shells, as an example of biological materials, have hierarchical structure, which 95 percent of its structure is Aragonite and 5 percent organic materials. This article detected mechanical properties of the Top Neck mollusks shell as a Nano composite using Nano-indentation method in different situations. Research findings indicate that mechanical properties of the Top Neck mollusks shell including elastic modulus and hardness are higher than a fresh one preserved in -50 centigrade and also a Top Neck mollusks shell preserved in environmental conditions. Nano-indentation test results are so close in range, overall, that hardness degree is 3900 to 5200 MPa and elastic modulus is 70 to 85 GPa.
